I moved to the right wing because I lived in precisely the kind of anti-normative, marginalized, and oppressed identity environment that the left celebrates: I am a bisexual Latino intellectual, raised by a lesbian, who experienced poverty in the Bronx as a young adult. I’m perceptive enough to notice that liberal social policies don’t actually help people in those conditions
If they act out and shove their radical single issue self indulgent ego centric world view in our faces in as offensive way as possible it is inevitable that we will come to respect them and accept them as normal./sarc tag?

I couldn’t watch the whole video. I can’t stand watching stupid people trying to make other people do what they want.

In a conversation with a small town doc and a Vancouver doc at a local medical gathering and the Vancouver doc asked about how much experience we have with AIDs. Before I could say anything the small town doc stated “we don’t have any as all queers have had the shit kicked out of them and left town”.
The few queers I do see where I practice are very low profile as that is a survival trait. I have a feeling that it might be worthwhile to ship some of our local rednecks to Chicago for a while to expose these one issue assholes to a broader range of opinions on homosexuality.

Why should we all be equal ? Never have been , never will be. Even in a socialist utopia some will be more equal than others. Intelligence, drive and perseverance will always trump sloth or a low IQ. Even luck as to where one is born, race and heritage are a large factor to success or failure. We will always need the brightest and the dumbest as yardsticks to measure our own failure or success. Some of us will be happy with little and others will never be happy, even if they have it all. Some, who have little, find more comfort in the bible or a sunset than others with their millions in the bank that are consumed over getting another million. That’s what democracy and capitalism is all about and has brought the greatest wealth the free world has ever known. That’s what Obama wants to eliminate. The possibility of failure for the have nots and the possibility of success for the priviledged. Socialists dream. Everyone equal. Except himself and his inner circle of course.
