A lot of overtly conservative/right-wing country songs sound a bit like the über-patriotic joke-songs from Team America: World Police, and tonight’s Tips music selection arguably fits that bill too. It is kinda catchy, though, even if the anti-banker verse sounds like it was written in a well-armed cabin in the backcountry of Montana.   3. There’s a new ad out from yesterday, from the brain trust of B. Hussien’s election team. It seems a guy that used to work for a steel company lost his job after Bain Capital bought the company, then his wife got “the cancer” and she died 4 or 5? years later because she didn’t have insurance. Someone sent a link to Mark Levin, from the CNN White House correspondent, and Legal Insurrection has put together a paper trail.
    It did take about 1 day though. Good research takes time.

    When you and I can say that we have uncontested rights to the property we pay for … free of the threat of gevernment intrusion and confiscation …. then the residents of reserves should have the same priviledge.

The same high-pressure psychological techniques meant to wear down a guilty suspect will make a lot of innocent people confess to something they didn’t do. Since innocent people are more likely than criminals to waive their right to remain silent, they’re put in a high-stress situation where they’re not even clear about what they’re being charged with. They also may feel guilt for some unrelated reason (they saw the crime and failed to report or stop it, for example). So, they say whatever they need to say to make the interrogation end.

While the consensus media and global governance left refuse to talk about the similarities of the last two multiple shootings (like shooters being gooned on prescription psycotropic drugs, their connections to fed psy-ops, eye witnesses claiming multiple gunmen)- They simply repeat gun ban mantras hoping to create a new meme to forward civil disarmament.
    No media outlet has put the shootings in proper perspective – like we lose more people on the highways in a day or that household accidents kill 10 times as many as shootings or that more die of bee stings than mass shootings in a year
    – OR – that according to U.S. government statistics, you are 6200% more likely to be killed by your doctor than by a homicidal shooter.

    Don’t ovrreact to a purely superficial act. Natives will not be getting any of the traditional commonlaw property rights we have lost – just the deluded “bundle of property privileges” which allow an owner to use his home as chattel or to remortgage or to lose in a tax or statute judgement – the poor schmucks don’t even see it coming but silent steve just slid them the mahogany while they were all happy-like over the right to go in debt or have your home confiscated.
    Property rights in Canada are just a matter of being a caretaker/tennent for the bank or state. All registered discharged deeds under this system are essentially encumbered property with the government laying claim in lieu of extrotion payment default.
    The Banksters just moved onto the reserves. I can see the lucre to be made shaking down natives for Chattel loans and taxes on their registered and in hock “property”. Greed never sleeps.

    That was not what the article said…They may sell reserve land, but retain ownership rights (this is not unlike English practice of term 30 year sales that then revert ownership). Ontario already has a clear example of this perverted ownership…
    If the Indian bands get ownership rights to Crown Land they would have unlimited control over Reserve Land…”NO PIPE LINES” The Crown NOW has the final Word over all aspects of reserve land and Minerals are owned & Managed by the Crown
    I do not agree that Indians should have more choice (rights) than others have in Canada! The Indian Act & Reserves MUST be abolished.

    This is totally out of line with commonlaw property rights. What you describe is an encumbered deed or a deed with a liability caveat. It is the same as renting the land. Banks will be swooping in on these new “landlords” offereing all sorts of credit for their future easment payments.
    I don’t begrudge natives the opportunity to make lease revenue and royalties on the pipelines an oil that flows across their reserves. However, if I were a pipeline planning eng. I would pick a route that avoids reserves – but in BC this is near impossible as 110% of its land mass is under dispute.

  22. This proposed scheme has all the earmarks of intensive lobbying by banksters and their cohorts.
    Natives living on reserves are poorly educated and thus vulnerable to parting with their birthright for a mess of pottage.
    I’m the first to admit that the current system is dysfunctional, but why replace it with yet another predatory model?
    Allodial land rights will likely be denigrated into fee simple – IOW feudalism. The most serious reservation I have (excuse the word-play) is if
    aboriginals cede their allodial rights their (then) fee simple property would be vulnerable to “eminent domain” legislation at the whim of any level of the government of the day.
    I/m reminded of the heavily promoted CHIP (Canadian Home Income Program), wherein impoverished elderly homeowners are encouraged to literally pawn their property for a pittance – no payments due until the property is sold or they die.

    The reserves are not the problem in most cases. They will be compensated fairly. The problem is the “traditional” land claims.
    IMHO,anyone band that tries to block movement on these lands should be charged.If they do it again,lock them up. “Traditional” land claims are a farce that only gained political weight because of Liberal judges that let ‘white guilt’ override their duties.
    Treaties must be respected as they are contracts. Treaties were signed to end a war,to the winners go the spoils.

    Quick recap;
    The NDP convention held their vote on-line and in person . There was numerous delays in the on-line voting,sometimes lasting a couple of hours. Many people gave up trying to vote. This skewed the vote to give the advantage to the one who had the most support on the convention floor,the eventual winner,Thomas Mulcair.
    The NDP denied the problems,then downplayed them,then blamed it on their enemies(conservatives).
    Today,they decided that it wasn’t all that important.
    ” They were told it would cost several thousand dollars to keep digging, and that there was no guarantee of finding who was responsible.
    Party officials ( Mulcair’s people) mulled it over and decided to drop it.”
    I call BS on that.
    The NDP would benefit substantially if they could link this to the Conservatives,possibly even a legitimate shot at the brass ring.I think they dropped it because the result would be extremely embarrassing to the party.
    Perhaps the Conservative party should shell out several thousand dollars to clear their name and find out who was responsible for the NDP voting fiasco.
