My Obama-Is-Actually-A-Space-Alien Theory

Finally, others are beginning to notice…

That brings me back to the creepiness of it all. It is as if a Dutch politician—an intelligent, well-meaning Dutch politician—were somehow running for the American presidency, but bringing with him the Rawlsian, social-democratic ethos that, in the Netherlands, is the natural way to talk about a properly run society.

  1. Obambam’s ‘you didn’t build that’ was NOT a gaffe. It was a warning shot across the bow of every business in the US. The mafia used to use similar language with its, ‘nice business you have there, pity if anything should happen to it’. Obambam was warning the good folks that if you don’t vote Democrat you can expect all kinds of things to happen to your business.

  2. Obama was born in Hawaii, lived his formative years in Indonesia.
If nothing else, he did not fully experience how economic freedom works, since he did not live in America during his youth, until he joined the choom gang in Hawaii.

  3. Yeah, people are slow to notice. People should have realized what they were getting when they read “Dreams from my Father”.
They should have realized with the speech from the Victory Column in Berlin.
Just to elaborate on that, it commemorates German victory against France in the Franco-Prussian war; kind sof a forerunner of WWI.
Giant statues of the principal commanders in that war – von Roon, the elder von Moltke, and two others – gaze upon the column,
and gazed upon Obama as he orated. It is a really great great place if you happen to like Prussian field marshals. Personally I can take `em or leave `em.
If after reading “Dreams from my Father” you didn’t realize that Obama was hopelessly stuck in Kenya, in the anti-British campaign,
in early post-colonial development – well, you didn’t realize much.
Four more years of Obama is exactly what the Yanks need. Unfortunately we will suffer with them, but that should be good
preparation for the Reign of Thomas Mulcair to follow in Canada.
God save the Queen. God keep Stephen Harper. God damn all leftists.

  4. It is probably a bad idea to characterize Obama in whimsical or even somewhat friendly terms. I probably won’t call him “Bambi” any more. He ceases to amuse.
I think of him privately as “that anti-Semitic piece of s**t” Obama; an appropriate term for public discourse has not as yet occurred.

  5. The Franco-Prussian War was not exactly a “forerunner” of World War I. The French government of Napoleon III was racked with scandal and under daily political attack, and decided to silence the criticism by uniting the country though war. They launched an entirely unprovoked invasion of the Prussian territory on the French border. There was no German aggression. All a good deal different from the situation in World War I.
Of course there’s a connection. The response to the French invasion was a united effort by all the German states to repel it, and it succeeded, with the result that Germany was politically united. The Germans insisted on pushing their frontier with France west to a natural defensible line. As a result they were occupying a significant chunk of French territory, and they knew that if they ever got tied up in a war in the East with Russia, France would take advantage of that to reclaim their territory. And so they made their plans to deal with France first in the event of a war with Russia. And that’s how we got the First World war as we know it.
But the two wars were very different in character. And the Franco-Prussian War is remarkable as one of the very few wars – perhaps the only one – in which Germany fought and yet can’t fairly be blamed for anything. It’s worth keeping that in sight.

  6. Steyn on Obama
the Obama campaign launched an attack on Romney’s attack on Obama’s attack on American business. First they showed Romney quoting Obama: “He said, ‘If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.’” And then the Obama team moved in for the kill: “The only problem? That’s not what he said.”
Indeed. What Obama actually said was:
“If you’ve got a business, you, you didn’t build that. [Interjection by fawning supporters: “Yeeaaaaah!”] “Somebody else made that happen.”
    Obama
[…]Let me tell you something—there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there. If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business—you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn’t get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet. The point is, is that when we succeed, we succeed because of our individual initiative, but also because we do things together.
    Adam Gopnik
What President Obama was saying was perfectly clear: the “that” in his statement refers to the bridges and roads and “this unbelievable American system.” He wasn’t, despite what one may have heard from Mitt Romney, saying that you didn’t build your own business. He was saying that your neighbors and ancestors helped. We drive on roads built for each by all.

    Excellant comment.
Not just that the French were overconfident….the consensus was for an abrupt French victory.
Problem was Prussia had perfected the doctrine of mobilization by rail, and at Sedan had got there first with the most.
I don’t credit the Prussian marshals with great credit. Their forces were already deployed, waiting, with Krupp, steel breach-loading artillery, for the tardy French who attended with bronze muzzle loaders….outranged by a factor of about 3….
    A passing technological advantage….
The French host withdrew, pursued by the Prussians, who laid seige to Paris and shelled them into submission.
The main reason for my disdain for the Prussian marshalls, was in the aftermath they pointed to the worn out Krupp guns as justification to revert to bronze cannon….after they had subjected the Krupp guns to sustained fire with double and triple charges……
The Kaiser wisely ignored their…..”wisdom” and the French with a bit of industrial espiange adopted steel cannon….and actually improved upon that with recoil systems and Hotchkiss automatic breaches…the famous “French 75” of 1897…

    Obozo is a marxist fool…….

  8. Joe, “Obambam’s ‘you didn’t build that’ was NOT a gaffe. It was a warning shot across the bow of every business in the US.”
Good point, except in this case it is not the Mafia that is speaking, but a socialist who has designs on business.
