  1. Politicians are just the bag men of the vested interests. Its why Government should be limited.

  2. Lust for power will promise anything. Same old same old. Now comes the reality check. Cupboard’s empty, flat broke and the German wellfare office is closed. Only option is the Chinese landlord and he’s avoiding you. Just where do you come up with the money to throw the feast you promised the people that voted for you ? Poor Hollande. Perhaps he should get advice from his mirror image, Mulcair who has all the answers to running a country on pixie dust.

  3. Must be getting his economic advice from the same loonies that whisper sweet stupidities in Obama’s Left ear.
But then, it is the French so they deserve to reap what they gave sowed.

  4. Frenchman seduces other woman, jilted wife is upset.
French President seduces public, with unrealistic promises, jilted public is upset.
If they spent less time on seduction maybe they would actually move the country forward some…
And who took the Chateauneuf du Pape wine away?

  5. “People Get the Government They (in this case so richly) Deserve.”
H/T. My Dad. Have no idea where he got it.

  6. peterj, well said.
The French people just got suckered by the utopian promises of the Marxists.

  7. I am shocked, shocked, to hear that a Socialist will not be able to do what he wanted because the political system/economy/world/reality doesn’t work like the Socialist thinks it does.
I wonder what Quebecer.NDP.Divorce-with-bedroom-privileges will add to the discussion. Hopefully something coherent this time.

  8. Oh, Franc, ois Hollande will no doubt do the same thing as M. Sarkozy. “Il n’y a pas d’argent” reads the same for conservatives and lefties alike.
But at least the French are free from Old Bat Ears. As I listened to M. Sarkozy’s New Year’s broadcast, the enormous outgrowths on his head reminded me more of Dracula than of a serious politician. And his flat delivery – doom and gloom in a monotone – left an impression of insincerity. I thought at the time, “if one must have doom and gloom, and one must, at least it could be presented by someone who has some feeling about the matter, and doesn’t look like a B movie character?”

  9. Peterj, the only comment I would add is that the Chinese are avoiding in anticipation of the firesale to come.

  10. We are talking about the surrender monkies here.My only hope is I live long enough to see all the Eurotrash disappear into the socialist/commie scum hole they have created.

  11. Why do people expect politicians to solve anything?? Most of them couldn’t hold a day job if they tried. They should fix the roads and pick up garbage only.

  12. France.
What is there to say about a country that makes Britain look clever?
