  1. Open ice? That’s not allowed in playoffs. You needs lots of clutching and grabbing, just like the Kings/Canucks. No one wants to see skating, clean checks, and shots, the crowd wants to see hugs and scrums and career-threatening hits because players will not be held responsible for their action on the ice…..
You know what, “set you free”, even if the skill level wasn’t there, the ladies game was more entertaining than the last few NHL games I’ve seen because it was actually hockey, not puck-swarm.
And ladies – congrats. It was a great game, you earned your win, and you can relax about how you lost in the round-robin because you came through when it mattered. Good on ya, and hope you can repeat next year!

  2. Future Canucks?… might be a little too tough for Vignealt’s liking… Sarcasm aside… Good for you girls, well done.

  3. Setyoufree – you’re a pinhead xtrordinaire. Great Job Girls! Nothing like kicking some US ASS in hockey!

You give too much credit. they used to practice by playin Midget AA teams in Alberta and always lost. And the boys weren’t allowed to hit.
The usual “World Championship”….outscore all the world’s non-competition 100 to 1 and then meet the U.S. in the finals. yawn

  5. BTW It’s not really a World Championship when 2 teams have a 100% chance of being in the finals.
