And for sure, honour killings are not restricted to muslims. In fact the first such crime that I personally heard about involved a Sikh, who murdered his daughter and her new husband with a bomb built into an electric kettle, sent as a wedding present.
What we do know is that honour killing and physical punishment of women for “misbehaving” is sanctioned by muslim religious writings, and it does appear to be more prevalent as a practice amongst muslims than amongst other religions. You can be sure that if statistics existed to show that muslims practised honour killing less frequently than some other religion, that fact woould be trumpeted from the rooftops by the muslim apologists.
