  1. Today, I had a car key made at Canadian Tire. The key didn’t fit, so I had to return it 4 minutes later and I had to show photo ID.

  2. I have agree with Dennis Miller on this voter ID matter.
    With the widespread election fraud, practiced by the donkey side of the aisle, who loudly object to voter ID, most of the current fraudulent election fraud is stopped dead by voter ID.
    Voter ID suppresses that segment of voters, who shouldn’t be voting anyhoo…like dead people, non-citizens, felons and multiple voters.
    It is bizarre that Canada has voter ID and yet allowes legally incarcerated convicts to vote.

  3. The US Gov’g seems to be putting in place the apparatus of a police state – killing of anyone anywhere in the world, American or otherwise:
    a comprehesive data centre for the NSA; complete control for the President over food supplies and distribution; compulsory IDs will be coming soon.

  4. The Liberals want ID for everything else, except for illegal’s to vote for their Affirmative Action president.
    Cigarettes, alcohol, personal ownership of firearms, but no ID required to vote for an unknown black man with his finger on a few thousand nuclear warheads that likes to invade foreign countries without congressional approval.
    If the Latino’s miraculously started voting Republican, the left would demand their ID be tattooed on their foreheads, if they couldn’t be kicked out of the country ASAP.

  6. This is one I really don’t get down here. I’m of the mind that you should have to prove you’re a CITIZEN to vote, let alone just show ID. Voting is every citizen’s right, but this BS about how your California drivers license isn’t accepted as voting ID in Texas so the law is invalid is getting to me. Can someone explain to me what the deal is with opposing viewpoint? How can one even argue its ok NOT to show ID?
    On a related rant, who ARE these people who don’t have ID and how are they even living? How do they buy beer? Cash a check? Get a hotel room?
    If you’re a citizen, you have proof of it regardless of how that came to be. Any photo id and a birth cert and away you go. Passport for those that have them makes this easy. Every citizen who was not born here has a gigantic pile of photo documentation of the process. Is verifying any of this going to take too long on voting day or something?
    Showing ID and proof stops ALL voter fraud (except some pretty fancy stuff). What’s the argument against?

  8. the ONLY reason the leftards do not want voter ID is ~ 10% of their voter base would disappear; dead people,illegals,underaged(but look old enough),multiple voters.
    BUT,if this crowd suddenly got a reality check and voted conservative,the only thing the leftards would not want is burning at the stake to prove that if they die,they must be legit to vote(and not to sure about that,either).

    Seriously. Nine times out of ten the “argument” is that the voter ID requirement disenfranchises blacks.

    Black or white, how low could someone be, to not be able to produce one piece of ID, but still have the wherewithal to make it to a voting station?
    We know the excuses, and we know the answers, everyone does. The biggest question for me is, how could Americans get to this point of absurdness in the once greatest democracy on the planet?
    It’s madness that can only come apart at it’s seams eventually.

    Bang-on. Requiring photo ID would disenfranchise illegals, and the dead – er, metaphysically challenged.

  14. I’ve heard the racism argument for this, and really don’t get that one. Is it not then racist to not let someone buy beer without ID? Don’t hear that one much. Like I said, I understand that voting is every citizen’s right, but at some point, some of the onus has to be on the individual to do something.

  15. mhb – I thought it was the metabolically challenged that voted solid democrat. Or did they decided that “metabolically challenged” was derogatory, and decide to change themselves to “metaphysically challenged” so that the public view of them and their activities would improve?

    If a college student isn’t bright enough to bring the correct ID to the polling station, then he/she shouldn’t be in college. Shouldn’t be allowed to vote, either.

  21. The idea that everything is okeydokey up here in Canada is not so accurate. We are supposed to require ID but the problem comes in when residency has to be shown. Ie: are you voting only once in the correct Electoral District.
    There have been complaints of voters being bussed in from other Districts because the proof of residency is way too weak. ( a Canadian Tire bill of Library Card.)
    As well, if you are obviously a non natural born, why can’t you be asked for citizenship papers?

    You would be shocked how many Identity thief’s, or crooks are collared by Library Cards. Who lies about their name to take out books? Most folks don’t bother to have a false Library card. Gert your meaning though, once I was asked for a pay stub, if you can believe it.

    Overt jalousie and pettiness is another cultural norm outside of western society. Underneath Islam are always the cultural abnormalities. The Arab cultures another prime example of misunderstanding by westerners.
    Ridiculous stupidity and misunderstandings by westerners that so readily want to import these cultures wholesale yet have never experienced them firsthand.

  26. So the Dems boldly proclaim that they are the ones who stick up for the voters who are too stupid or incompetent to provide ID to vote. (They are not mentioning the too dead, too duplicated, or too illegal part.) Glad they finally concede that many of their supporters fit that description.
