  8. Travel Alberta makes some pretty videos and prints some attractive guides but they are pathetic at actually promoting the province. The guides are lovely to look at but don’t carry a single helpful detail. Their response to all the attacks on Alberta tourism by anti oilsands organizations was just to throw up that picture of Moraine Lake again. Sure, its a beautiful photo, and a beautiful lake, but a bit more effort might be helpful.

  16. It seems Wally Mah of North Ridge Developments is a real deal maker. Reported in the newspaper today Wally never paid taxes on a piece of land he accuired from the government. The city says he oves 600,000 dollars. Between 2005 and 2009 the city did not know that he was the owner and not the government. It seems the land sale was not registered with ISC. Wally builds homes for a living. It seems very convenient to me that a little thing like registering a land purchase for legal reasons was overlooked. Wally Mah is a multi millionaire and can afford to pay taxes on this land. Wally has sold back to the city a piece of this land for the Circle drive expansion. Wally has also sold a piece of this land to a developer in BC and he will build appartments on the land. Much to the displeasure of the residents on Montgomery Place. The city should refuse to grant Northridge Developments any building permits anywhere in the city until the back taxes are paid. Come on Wally, PAY YOUR F CKING TAXES.

  21. Nice video of Travel Alberta, but they seem to have forgotten the rest of the province. Anyone watching may think this whole province is nothing but powder snow and waterfalls.
    Only one or two scenes with Edmonton as well. Nothing on the badlands, Drumheller, Cold Lake, or gasp, anything north of 55.

  43. I’ve seen this travel video an must say if move the heartstrings a bit.Of course with a big an area as it is there had to be a few scenes cut out or deleted. No Drumheller as per say but the badlands around the river valley were there. There were sadly few signs of grain elevators and the trains.
    True story: The yellow canola field reminded me of a photo shoot I took out by Mossleigh. A year later I’m in Texas and I see a music video of Terri Clark playing a guitar in my canola field and then driving down a most familiar road to the foothills singing ” A Little Gasoline.” Still brings tears to my eyes, even if cowboys don’t cry (it’s just mighty dusty in here now.)
