  1. Man sues local cinema because its snack bar prices are too high:

The suit accused AMC theaters of violating the Michigan Consumer Protection Act by charging grossly excessive prices for snacks. The suit seeks refunds for customers who were overcharged, a civil penalty against the theater chain and any other relief Judge Kathleen Macdonald might grant…

On one occasion the poor fellow paid nearly three times what he paid for the same items at a nearby restaurant!

  2. In her paper “Interest & Ontology, A Reponse to The Church, Women Bishops and Provision”, feminist academic Dr. Susannah Cornwall argues that Jesus may have been a hermaphrodite:

“It is not possible to assert with any degree of certainty that Jesus was male as we now define maleness…”

  3. EBD, that “Opel Ampera” article reminds me of the boring Art films that come out once in a while and get rave reviews by critics but has everyone else snoozing.
If the Volt/Ampera truly were a marvel then it would sell like hotcakes!

  4. well..that explains why ‘bama is so adamant about not taking Iran’s nuclear weapons program offline…it’s too late…now imagine that they already have a few scattered around the US and see why they’re so busy trying to head Israel off…
Report: Iran Held Nuclear Test In North Korea…
    from: http://weaselzippers.us/
Germany’s Die Welt newspaper reported Sunday that Iran held at least one nuclear weapons test in North Korea in 2010.
The paper’s report is based on “Western intelligence agencies sources,” and says that the test, in fact, refutes US intelligence assessments suggesting there is no “hard evidence” that Iran is building nuclear weapons.
The International Atomic Energy Agency has recently declared that its nuclear negotiations with Iran have failed.
The statement followed Tehran’s decision the bar IAEA inspectors from what is believed to be key military sites in the Islamic Republic.
Iran vehemently claims that its nuclear program is meant to serve civil, peaceful purposes only.
The Die Welt noted that evidence of the 2010 nuclear tests in North Korea was published in early February in Nature Magazine.
According to the report, Swedish nuclear physicist Lars-Erik de Geer analyzed data “showing the presence of radioisotopes that betrayed a uranium bomb explosion.”

  5. Black Mamba, the silver-tongued devil begins a surprising number of his sentences with “Yo,” too.

  6. Re: Haul Away Joe. Not my favorite song, but then, I’m from the dry prairie.
A CBC.Ca headline tonite reads: “Liberals will release election phone records”
Big deal! Constituency office phone records are not connected to any outside source of communications that could send out mulitiple pre-recorded messages to programed phone lists.
Would allowing anyone to see my home phone records show what I’m doing on my phone or my computer at work?? I don’t think so. Nice try though!
I think the opposition parties sent the calls out with specific intentions of defaming the Conservative Party of Canada!

Kinda like that b&w slient movie that just won all the oscars. Unfortunatly nobody went to see it.It was such a good movie I can’t even remmeber the name. And no, I didn’t see it.

The expensive price tag for the 10-day expedition across the polar ice pack in Canada includes the services of a taxidermist, who at the end of the hunt turns the trophy specimens into prized rugs for the “rookie” hunters’ living rooms.
‘The polar bear is the most extreme of natural enemies in North America,’ declares the Beijing-based I Love Hunting Club in its brochure.”

  10. Maz, my hometown, North Bay is home to the largest (2nd?) fur trading event in the world. Last year (Feb) they sold 60 polar bear hides caught by natives around James Bay. There were a great many bears that far south… globull warming? Haha!! The hides were sold at auction going to Russian, Chinese and Greek buyers. A new record for a single hide was set at $11,000 CDN. This is all perfectly legal.
Personally I’d much rather a $75,000 return than $10,000 any day! Think paying solar mark-ups for a rug!

  11. lgarvin – I was just going to post that link.
    Nice waste of tax dollars.
    Shut down the HRCs immediately!

  12. maz2…left a comment with the lefties at the Daily Rag.Doubt it will be published.Sad,reading the comments,to see just how gullible and non-thinking most people of the world are/have become. As I stated, very sad to have to refer to it as Britain,as it is no longer great. From the empire on which the sun never sets,to the empire upon which it no longer rises, due to stupidity, socialism and general ennui. I sometimes think the muslims will even be dissappointed with the result they are getting, and that’s saying a lot!

  14. EBD 10:50 pm About the fem scholar who posits that Jesus might have been a hermaphrodite. “It is not possible to assert with any degree of certainty that Jesus was male as we now define maleness…”
Kind of glad Kris Kristofferson didn’t know this before he composed: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofzCZiQ9vjA
“hermaphrodite” might have been harder to fit in the lyrics than “Capricorn”.

  15. As much as I hate the BC Liberals they have just pulled off a wicked coup. The BC Teachers Federation was tricked into striking by the introduction of a legislated contract with some pretty severe penalties for striking. The teachers voted to strike and all of a sudden the legislation has been delayed. Now they just have to wait until the public begs them to legislate these turds back to the classroom. Well played.

  16. Deneen Borelli has a new book out, “Blacklash”
“This country is at a crossroads. We can either reverse direction or nosedive into a cycle of dependency that is turning America into a welfare nation—a “government plantation” where the underclass are doomed to 21st-century servitude. Now, Deneen Borelli, one of the most visible and outspoken black conservatives in the country, is fighting back—taking action, not just talking—and speaking up for those who can’t or are too afraid to do so. ”

  17. James, re the teachers’ strike. Drove past a few schools yesterday, nobody seems to be beeping their horns in support of the teachers as they drive through the school zone. They cannot claim that it’s “for the children” when they are asking for 15% increase IN PAY over three years….it’s pi**ing people off.
On the bright side, I’m glad yesterday morning the weather was ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS. Made me smile as I drove past them with my thumb down. Today, it’s chilly with snow. Nicely done, weather.

  18. I should add re the teachers that the BCGEU and CUPE are all walking out today for the big rally at the leg. Suckas.

“Turn down the bling dial, Chinese officials warned”
“… a system in which politics and business are inextricably linked and many of China’s political leaders are also the country’s wealthiest men and women.
You need only to look at who’s driving on the streets to see the evidence. In The Globe and Mail’s Driver Zhao index, the Audi A6 is the preferred car for Chinese officials, frequently seen weaving around the bicycles and Chinese-brand sedans that make up the fleet of the masses. Audi sold more than 313,000 cars here last year, surpassing its home market of Germany.”

  23. Pat Martin has just declared on ‘PnP’ that there is no connection between Leadnow and the NDP party. He says that Ian Capstick has very little connection to the party and worked for Sheila Copps.
Leadnow organized the Vancouver protest that featured Libby Davies. I’m not positive, but I do think Libby may still be connected to the NDP. Go Pat Go.
I don’t have a link yet,it just happened a few minutes ago. If Mr. Capstick is on the program today, that should be interesting. I do hope he cries.

  24. There was a little segment on Krista Erickson’s show on Sun News this afternoon and Krista was talking to Sun reporter Eric Duhaime from Montreal and Eric said there is an American outfit behind the website that is collecting names of people that say they were affected by the robocalls. It appears that George Soros’ people have done more than just trying to influence civic elections and the Gateway pipline hearings.
Sorry no link, as I have not been able to find the video on Sun yet. Maybe someone a little more savvy can find it.
