  11. The only actual accomplishment of the elder Turdeau was that abortion called the Charter of Rights that essentially gave legislative authority to the courts. He taught Quebecers and westerners to hate each other so he could get re-elected. As far as brains go in the Turdeau family, Pierre married up.

    It’s truly scary that a large number of voters are, developmentally, about six years old and are sucked in by the Trudeaus and Obamas. These opportunists and phonies should be at the bottom of the heap. That they aren’t says a lot about the pathologies of our dumbed-down societies. Democracy doesn’t work very well when the voters are brain dead, emotional and intellectual toddlers.

IF this version of Trudeau ever gets the chance to become their leader they will tout his ‘brilliance’ and abilities once again, as though most of us could not see through the sham that PET was. He was not brilliant, in my view. He WAS arrogant and shallow and self impressed. Let us all remember his attitude toward the West: “Fuddle
    Duddle” and just in case there were those obtuse enough not to get it he added hand gestures to emphasize his disdain for part of the country he led. Mr. Justin is EXACTLY like his father and the arrogance is just as transparent. He believes he has the divine right to govern, just as BamBam does south of the border.
    The Conservative movement is working hard to get their country back in the US before BamBam ruins it completely. That is ALL we would need is another diapered infant running THIS country.
    Just when we actually have an adult leading us and adults working for us in a majority government that might actually get results after long years languishing in minority hell and liberal / ndp wrought foolishness not to mention Union travesties on the public trough.
    Let’s try to remember that we dodged a bullet in May when we actually accomplished a conservative majority government. The benefits will be felt for a long time and it is hoped the country will benefit for years to come.
    In the meantime, I find it amusing watching the temper tantrums the ndp and liberals are throwing because they cannot run the show. JT is just the most juvenile example of it. And it does make for amusing theatre as they stamp their collective feet and ‘throw things’ in the House.
    And wasn’t it delicious to see
    Trudeau looking oh so much like the Guy Fawkes masks the OWL crowd are so fond of wearing with that goatee thing going.

  17. When Justin was speaking at the Liberal Convention,he spent his two minutes speaking and looking up to the left of the stage. I wondered what had captured his attention.
    It was the giant screen JT.He could not go more than 5 seconds without looking at the screen. I wonder if it was conceit or if he saw someone that he thought was really hot and wanted to meet.

Where is the evidence of this “intellectualism”? Is it buried in the endless destructive policies, ( bilingualism, multi-cult, NEP ), flawed legislation ( Peeaires Charter ) and historical distortions ( 2 founding nations ) that the old gargoyle imposed on this country. “Trudeau Sr. was a real ladies man”… really?     So, it is okay that the PMO has to pass judgement on a what a scientist, who has published a scientific paper on, in a peer reviewed journal, can and can’t say. In several cases, the non-Canadian scientists have been provided more publicity, more international reputation because Canadian scientists have had to sit on their thumbs. This is not a “gravy train”, this is science which is designed to provide governments with information on how they should proceed with policies. You know, those pesky little facts, neither left nor right, just the facts ma’am.
    These are not just ‘climate science’ discussions, they include many other areas.

    Facts be damned, if all the scientists politically agree on a consensus of what they want to believe to be true, then it is. Why bother with observations, verifications, and indisputable facts, subject to contrarians with vigourous debate and discussions between adversarial positions.
    This is sadly lacking in your “climate change” “Global warming” religion, as your apostles hide, run, and deny ANY debate or discussion whatsoever. The religion of climate science forbids any discussion, other than their true faith and absolute belief system.

The scam is over and and the only reason there is even a little life left in this charade is because politicians know that the ability to tax people on nothing at all is in jeoparty. Gore just bought a new waterfront mansion so he’s doing fine without your help. Suzuki is a fruit fly specialist and probably knows less about global warming than Gore, who knows next to nothing. Most scientists know their funding will be cut the minute that they say there is no problem, so we can’t blame them either. Harper has finally figured out that there is no problem, henceforth the cuts. See how logical this is ? Fear not Nick, every generation needs their very own panic and I’m sure another one will come along shortly to suit your needs.

    When it comes down to it, neither one likes democracy. They remind me of assorted people I’ve met in my life who go on & on & on about how “open minded” they are. But once you start talking with them for awhile, you quickly realize that they’re only “open minded” IF YOU AGREE WITH THEM. Don’t do that and their minds are closed tighter than a steel bear trap.
    The 60 percenters seem to have given their verbal diarrhea a break for the time being but I’m confident it’s ugly head will rise again before the next federal election.
    What’s interesting too is that they’re not at all different from their Democrat cousins in America. When Bush did X, Y, or Z they complained endlessly and constantly referred to him as Hitler. But when Dear Obama enacts exactly the same policies, and even more so wrt drone strikes, barely a peep comes out of their pieholes.

    And one more thing on this topic, Mulroney tried twice to bring Quebec into the constitution, Meech Lake and Charlottetown. Most of the right wing opposed both of those measures, believing that they were too much of a giveaway to Quebec. And who led the charge nationally against both of these sellouts, hmmm? Seems that many of our little myopics around here have the same sort of convenient memories that they rightly accuse the lefties of having.

  50. Actually, Justin’s position on separation is exactly the same as his dad’s. When Pierre decided to oppose Meech Lake, he openly went over to the separatist side and stated repeatedly that if Meech passed, Quebec should secede.
    Pierre was a loyal Canadian as long as Canada was his personal property. The minute he was out of power, all bets were off.
