Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

My wife and I do not have cable because we do not believe the cost is worth the quality, yet our tax dollars are used to keep the CBC afloat and also pay for programs we are absolutely against.
Lacroix, Moore and any member of government who supports this practice isn’t at all serving our hard earned interests.
What a fricken joke.
Funny stuff.
I don’t even watch TV but I really do enjoy these SUN TV clips that I view here at SDA.
The very idea that SUN TV is doing battle with the CBC and taking them to task this way is fascinating.
I also love to see Ezra Levant clips.
Ezra is so educational and entertaining, he seems to get better every time I see him on SUN TV here.
Only politically-left partisans place value in the CBC. Defund it. Now.
I love it when they steal the food out of my children’s mouths and future so they can keep their target audience sedated with porn.,,
Mr. Lilly has been targeting the cbc for a long time now and he has my full support and admiration for doing so.
FIRE THEM ALL
I recently heard a rumor that SUN-TV was having financial difficulties due to pressure on advertisers from CBC.
The source said SUN-TV may be on it’s way out of business. I truly hope the rumor was wrong.
CBC’s lawyer’s letter that states that SUN’s actions are “legally indefensible” is troubling.
Almost any action is at lest “defensible” in a court of law.
The lawyer seems to be stating that SUN will not be ALLOWED to defend the juxtaposition in court.
Let’s hope that CBC’s degeneracy has not spread into the Justice system.
The introduction of SunMedia is probably the single most positive initiative since the internet began introducing blogs and etc., the likes of SDA. Who would have thought that there would be such a daring network in this country, and strangely enough, it originated out of Quebec! Even the Conservatives can’t escape from justified outrage from the average Canadian. One might have thought the other private networks would, by now, have taken up the cause, but sucking up to politically correct notions has become something so “Canadian” that they can’t seem to see the change. It is a sea change, and we will not let things return to the ways of the past.
Hubert Lacroix looks like a reptile: quelle surprise! (He also looks older than I am, but he’s not [I’m older!]: behaving like a weasel does that to people.)
The CBC’s arrogance and sense of entitlement seems to know no bounds. Threatening SUN news for calling their bluff is a sign of desperation: the CBC’s duplicity and hypocrisy are now on display more than ever. A nasty and personal battle with SUN, which now has a wide audience, is the CBC airing its dirty laundry in public. Well, it’s a free country: if the CBC wants to look even more petty and petulant than usual—if that’s possible—their hissy fit with SUN is just the ticket.
For decades, lots of us here have been aware of the CBC’s bully posturing, pandering, and propagandizing for the left, with our tax dollars. If I were Lacroix, I’d have tried to keep the porn issue as low profile as possible. By screaming about it, he’s guaranteed that a lot more Canadians will hear about both it and his arrogant and utterly bogus disclaimers. Couple this with the Shiny Pony’s equally self-serving and ludicrous rantings, one wonders if there’s something in the Quebec water that twists and turns their ever so sensitive brain cells.
P.S. The CBC Ombudsman always grotesquely twists and turns the facts to deny having done anything outside the CBC’s high-minded guidelines. In this case, the CBC is acting altogether true to form. Anyone with eyes to see, knows that “Hard” is pornography. But Lacroix bluntly denies that it is. Re his problems with SUN News, I’d say “Swine before pearls”. As this unfolds, I’m looking forward to seeing him and the CBC get their long- and well-deserved comeuppance.
Defund the CBC now! I have always been a big fan of using your econimic power to express your beliefs if you don’t like a practice of a business do not buy their products, not subscribing to any television broadcasting services and still haveing to pay for this crap through taxpayer subsidies is a violation of my human rights and freedoms. Maybe if I am lucky I will recieve my own exhibit in a museum
“CBC’s lawyer’s letter that states that SUN’s actions are “legally indefensible” is troubling.”
Typical lawyer’s letter babbling when there is no case – notice he doesn’t actually mention any grounds for action. Don’t waste your time trying to find logic in it.
So we not only pay for the crap porn to be broadcast, we are now paying for the lawyer to write this silly threat…
Just, wow…
Personally I think the guy is just another parasitic bureaucrat who found some comfy sinecure and he wants to milk it for all he can before he’s replaced by the next appointed parasite. There are hundreds of this type of public sector parsite wiggling through the corpulent viscera of senior public service administration, gorging themselves on the decadent salaries, perks, and pensions like fat smug maggots gnawing on a bloated public carcass – and thumbing their noses at any public accountability. In that respect all senior public service is inundated with pompous little pricks – he’s not an aberration where Ottawa culture is concerned.
What sets him apart for me is that he is in charge of a bloated dying government broadcast organ that has been infected with crapulent Anarcho-Marxists since the late 70s. Now that a more conservative political climate prevails in Canada the Marxist sophistry and propaganda once subtly spewed from Mother Corp(se) is blatant – he must defend this degenerate misuse of a public broadcast organ almost daily and he has little moral or ethical ground to stand on so he becomes reclusive, uncooperative even litigious.
In Ottawa politico culture the more you fume and bluster and feign righteous indignation the bigger target you make of yourself. I predict before his tenure is over virtually the whole Ottawa press mob will take a kick at Lacroixs credibility and phoney piety
If Lecroix thinks that is not porn then he should be asked to clarify what he thinks is. He has hoist himself on his own petard and all that is needed is an inquiring reporter to push himm ask him if that is the kind of entertainment he watches. Let’s hear him publicly establish his own moral standards.
Canadian Broadcorping Castration
I am split on this one – finally CBC is showing something woth watching.
I have looked on line to see how one can watch this CBC porn vid. I cannot find it …. if it’s unfindable, what’s the problem other than it’s wrong in the first place.
The CBC sleeps in its little bare skin,
It sleeps very well I am told.
Last night I slept in my little bear skin,
And I didn’t get a heck of a cold.
CBC gets naked for Canadians from ‘sea to sea’.
A ‘Shagtastic’ use of public funds to ‘unify Canadians.’
Public confirmation that the taxpayer really is being ‘screwed over’….
FIRE. THEM. ALL.

wondering how much cbc is paying the porn actors and camera men to make this video? production costs in the thousands ?
My first introduction to porn was through the CBC.
When I was growing up in the 70’s and 80’s, I could sneak into the living room, put on my family’s one TV set, tune in to the CBC french station and see plenty of topless dames, lots of sftcore porn. Later, they started doing the same thing at CITY TV and what is now OMNI (which featured Italian porn), but it started with the CBC.
So colour me unsurprised that they still show porn. This is nothing new.
Do they really want this to go to court? Right now, Sun News is preaching to the choir, because of the MSM blackout of everything they deem counter to their agenda. A court action would be hard to hide from the general public. Everyone would want to see the video in question. Even if Sun were to lose, they’d win in the court of public opinion.
Has the video been taken down? I can’t seem to get it to play.
Here you go Abe: http://www.tou.tv/hard – but only after midnight Eastern, 9 pm Pacific.
The arrogance is most galling. They take OUR money, buy porn with it (which they will not admit is porn) and then get angry that someone is angered by this.
Fire them… out of a cannon.
they should defund the cbc,but the chances of that happening is nil.toronto would have to disappear before the cbc could disappear. The cpc would have won a lot more seats in the may election if it hadn’t been for the cbc.the ctv is no better.oliver,neuman,etc.
Dmorris, I have not heard the rumour that SNN is going under, and I can only hope it is only wishful thinking from the Left. If it happens it will be a major loss for Canada, as it is the only network with the courage to state the truth after doing real investigative work. One thing that doesn’t help their situation is the number of people who benefit from video clips of their programs on the internet while refusing for whatever reason not to subscribe. Were it not for SNN I wouldn’t bother paying for satellite television, since all the rest is crap with no variation.
Suck & blow indeed.
lacroix- it is nothing of the sort.
cbc lawyer-graphic sex scenes
But I am not sure that ‘hard’ is a French import.I suspect it just might be a home video of a ‘friends of the cbc’ strategy get together’
Why were they interviewing that porn actress on the split screen anyway?
Send her back to France, she’s been paid already.
Abe Froman: “I have looked on line to see how one can watch this CBC porn vid. I cannot find it…”
Try tou.tv: http://www.tou.tv/recherche?q=hard
How come if we can access this French series on the Internet, Canadians have to pay the CBC to pay for it for us to watch?
The anomaly is that belly-crawling snake Hubert Lacroix says, on the one hand, that Hard isn’t pornographic but, on the other hand, objects when the split screen satire SunTV launched puts Kirstine Stewart onscreen alongside “porn.”
Lacroix speaks with forked tongue.
You can’t have it both ways, Mr. Lacroix.
Liberal extremists threatening Sun News is an excellent indication of how well the new network is doing – kudos to them!
I phone CBC in Regina and they don’t have anyone to answer the phone–I have to talk to someoine from Toronto–yet they spend money on defending Euro-porn! Interesting.
Bear in mind, Sun News is still new. Quebecor is far from marginal and can bankroll it for a while, and is almost certainly not expecting to make money for the first couple of years. If it isn’t performing up to expectations in five years time, you might expect Peladeau to knock it on the head. As it is, it’s giving him more publicity than he’s had in years and it’s pissing off everybody he dislikes, in the most delightful manner.
I have no inside information, but I doubt that Sun is going away any time soon. Common sense says otherwise.

I’m outraged, just outraged! Uhm, where can I get it?
Wouldn’t it be ironic if Sun News running this story boosts the viewings/ratings/hits?
“Hubert” is a poncy name, even for a frog.
But, Black Mamba, Sainte Hubert is a great chicken place. And he is the patron saint of hunters.
I am conflicted….
Patron saint of poncy hunters, maybe.
I love it when the CBC gets so defensive and this may be the final death throes of of this MSM dinosaur.
I enjoy the clips from SUN TV and that is the only TV that I watch. If Sun TV had a subscription internet service, I would sign up as long as there were no commercials. Right now I don’t have cable TV and don’t bother watching the one very snowy broadcast channel where I live. Sun TV should move to the internet and sign up viewers that way.
Stewart is just upset because she was hoodwinked and is embarrassed. SunTV did nothing wrong – Stewart was spouting off how wonderful CBC programs were and how they met the needs of all Canadians – all SunTV did was highlight the CBC programming she speaks of.
The CBC was shocked because they just can’t wrap their head around the thought of a person not being PC – being PC is akin to breathing for the CBC.
Hubie Lacroix’s time is up, he is seeking a second term, we need to flood Moore with our objections, we pay, we should have a say.
That’s not his point at all.
His point is two-fold. One, that showing scenes from this program completely out of context is nothing more than rabble-rousing (you guys would be the rabble, btw), and covering up the naughty bits with the cbc logo is something you would see on a satire program, NOT an actual news program.
Sun Media, once again drops the debate into a truckstop toilet.
Also, have to say… it’s funny how they LOOOVE to say “but kids could see it!!!! Like any self-respecting kid is going to wade through a “boring” French tv show aimed at adults to maybe spot some t&a when they can just type “boobs” into Google, or better yet, turn on Quebecor’s adult channel and watch Teenage Cheerleader Anal Punishment. (Oh, but wait… that’s not taxpayer funded, so it’s okay, and bares no responsibility towards protecting kids)
IP address fun: the above comment from “John” was sent from the CBC in Ottawa.
