Operation Fast and Furious was specifically conceived so that “walked” guns would be recovered at crime scenes in Mexico. Their serial numbers would be provided to the ATF by Mexican authorities for tracing. Regardless of motive, the entire operation was premised on weapons being recovered at crime scenes in Mexico, and law enforcement agencies are well aware that criminals primarily abandon weapons only after they’ve been used in serious felony crimes such as murder or attempted murder.

I think cfbleachers is right; there’s far too much of this that doesn’t add up. And it would be truly strange if ANY law enforcement policy DOESN’T have a domestic policy agenda.
That said, it’s both the crime and the coverup.
Think of it this way. Nixon was impeached for breaking the law and lying about it. He resigned before a successful vote in Congress.
Clinton was impeached for lying under oath. Not quite as severe a test as Nixon’s and the indictment failed.
Obama’s officials have broken the law, lied about it, and unlike the previous two cases, hundreds have died as a result of it. This is much, much worse than Reagan’s Iran-Contra scandal.
Fine, imagine for a moment that we’re all good lefties and we all support Obama’s policies, yadda, yadda. Even given this fantasy, this criminal offense alone means a criminal investigation by a Special Prosecutor is utterly essential. If Obama knew about it and covered it up, then he’s as guilty as Nixon. If he didn’t know about it, then he’s utterly incompetent to be POTUS. Either way, the President must be accountable for the actions of his administration in creating a fundamental breakdown of law and order.

And that’s just into Mexico. Several “gangwalker” operations have been identified…walking firearms from Indiana into “gun free” Chicago……and other northern cities.
The president lied, innocent people died.
One must conclude Democrats don’t see anything wrong with murdering innocent people to get their utopia.

OK. So how many people were killed by F&F guns that WERE NOT left at the scene? I find it unbelievable that any but a small percentage of the F&F guns used to kill people were recovered by authorities, and subsequently traced.
The real number of Mexicans killed by F&F guns is likely orders of magnitude higher than the reported 300.
