Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Voted. It’s pretty close at the moment.
The next CTV poll question:
“Should we try to reduce the number of high-paying jobs in Saskatchewan?”
Voted. @ 57% no as of this posting.
58% now.
I love voting in these things. I can visualize the agony of the enviroretro’s
The no-vote now 70%..good work!
What a very “Atlas Shrugged” type of question…
Why is it Canadian media wish Canadian companies such ill will?
@chris..I’ve always wondered about that too. Here’s my theory. People who are unemployed watch a lot of TV. Furthermore, unemployed people may not be able to afford the premium channels on cable or satellite and must take the most basic package, which would include CTV. Since CTV has better fare than CBC (not a very high bar) they would receive the lion’s share of unemployed Canadians watching TV. Higher ratings means higher revenue, which means higher incomes for all those working at CTV. It’s just a theory.
Surely they jest.
Just voted. Wonder why certain sectors of this province is still so dead set against expansion of economic industry. More working people will lead to the left being shut out in the cold for many elections to come. Oil and gas, mining and agriculture all hitting full stride, what a great time to be a resident here.
Just voted and the poll is at 73% now.
deere boy> The left loves misery and would like to impose it on everyone.
“The left loves misery and would like to impose it on everyone”.
Agreed. Witness Obama cutting off the nose of the US to spite its face, vis a vis the Keystone XL Pipeline.
For a leftist, politics trumps common sense EVERY time.
Self loathers is what they are Ken, they, for the most part have accomplished nothing on their own, it is only through inherited wealth, or shakedowns of gullible people for cash, that most of the green-screamers even have a roof over their heads. Their breathless p-boys and girls in our so called media just love running to a 2 green-screamer protest and attempting to hype it up to the level of a Martin Luther King speech. Well if the red ink hasn’t brought these losers any sense, going without all the amenities of our producers would help the eco-retards and their media.
“The left loves misery and would like to impose it on everyone”.
Strange that is what zealous hard core Christian bible thumpers used try to do.
Now we have the spartan life-style of the zealous koran thumpers as well scorning the decadence of the West.
I guess that’s what all religious nuts do.
What a stupid poll! Although I must admit that I contributed to the stupidity by casting my vote.
CTV should ask the question: “Would you like to see Saskatchewan slip back to have-not province status?”
I think the number of “yes” votes would be surprising. There are still a great many self-loathing socialists still cowering in their basements or grumbling at the local Co-op since November of 2007.
The media sells fear to reinforce its theocracy of salvation through more government control of satanic capitalists (evil surrogate for humanity) and their gaia temple destruction.
I would like to see this equivalent poll: Does CTV make too much money and reach too many viewers?
The production increases are likely not going to be matched by demand so prices will soften. Sask companies would still be profitable at half of current prices. However, this ultimately leads to increased food production at reasonable cost. Anything that supports a growing world population is evil, very evil.
Has anyone ever seen any tv ratings comparing CBC, CTV and Sun Media? I haven’t, but I can only guess that Sun is kicking butt.

We are gona correct that in November Eskimo. That is if we can get that damn Mormon thru the vetting process.
Ratt
Right now the GOP seems more impressed with Gingrich’ Conan rather than Romney’s Dali Lama.
Canadians are painfully aware the effect the US has on Canada’s fortunes….especially after MAObama’s “incredibly stupid” veto of the Keystone.
MAObama’s decision is merely a ploy to gain election $$$….the reasoning is those adversely affected are in flyover states that didn’t vote for him and wouldn’t vote for him anyway.
While $$$ play a large role in elections….rising costs of auto fuel, hence goods and services, and heating costs do not win friends and certainly will influence people, whether they could have had a job on Keystone or not.
Ummmmm….now the poll is about a sex trade registry???? Wha happened???
Gov’t holding the mineral rights is a great way to play politics. Doing business by committee…there’s a recipe for success. It’s only because Canada is so naturally blessed that it can withstand all the waste and incompetence. Otherwise we would be worse off than Italy and Greece.
