That’s why they pay you the big bucks!
Congrats on a well run, informative and fun place to visit.
All the best in 2012. (Should be huge numbers)
Pat
congratulations on the number one right wing blog in the world.
25000000 tonight.
CONGRATULATIONS Kate.
I’m not sure how many years ago that I first came upon this blog, I found it on my own looking for Sask blogs with no referral, and long before Gormley started talking about it.
The first time I visited this site I read in the left-hand sidebar, “Why this blog?” I thought wow, there is actually somebody else out there that was paying attention to the daily manipulation and massaging from the media both local and national. Most everyone I knew, could have cared less or weren’t bothered by it, making the discovery of Small Dead Animals a real gem to find.
Thanks especially for helping to shed light on the Global Warming Fraud.
Carl
Jeezus…damn millions…
It’s not the number one right wing blog it’s the number one blog. CONGRATULATIONS KATE
Wish you well. Twenty-five million. That’s something.
The ONLY blog I visit every day.
Over 4 years since I found this site….. twice(three times?) a day average……
Over a thousand of those are mine! Maybe more!
See you at 50!
And a heartfelt Thank-you for doing what you do.
Katie Dear,
If you stay up all night Santa’s never going to get here.
Congratulations!
Congratulations Kate and thanks for giving us a voice for freedom.
Funny, how that number manifests itself in the “real world”.
Occasionally I have mentioned, in the midst of occasional political conversation amongst our friends and acquaintances, SDA.
The response? Silence. Which means to me not only that you are Politically Incorrect; but that they all know exactly who I’m talking about. And they ALL go to your site, left or right. Those who lean left suddenly appear nervous, those who lean right slip me a surreptitious grin, and are enervated to continue making their point.
Well done, Kate. Your site makes a large impact, indeed.
Thank you.
Mad Mike
I came here from a link from a left-leaning blog, I think something complaining about the west-side problems and community policing (2006?). And I read a different article that caught my eye. The internal resonance cascade from the points of agreement was deafening (it was quite the “holy crap!” moment for me), and I’ve been coming back ever since. I don’t agree with everything that gets said here, but the disagreements are few.
Congratulations from an ex-pat Saskatonian, and keep up the good work.
@Mad Mike…I don’t think you mean “enervated”; I think you mean “energized”.
I like. But the bigger the numbers get, the harder it is to reach a milestone.
It’s simple statistics and the law of diminishing lefties to discredit.
All those exploding heads decrease the potential viewership, you done done something wrong, and your marketing guy needs to be fired.
But thanks anyway, I’ll keep reading.

The single biggest change since I began this site?
The topics that were once only broached on the conservative blogs are now coming out of the mouths of mainstream conservative commentators and politicians.
We (and I include many of my cohorts and co-defendants) demonstrated that one could say forbidden things and the world didn’t come to an end.
ACMarc:
I can only describe the responses I noted as “enervated”…Might “energized” be a description of your more personal response upon discovering SDA? That, quite accurately, matches my response years ago?
Welcome Aboard, in any case.
Cheers!
Mad Mike
Congratulations Kate, that’s quite an accomplishment.
Found this blog 6 years ago and was grateful to know that there were others with many of the same concerns that I have.
Kate, guest bloggers and commentors; you have often provided some great ammunition in my personal combats with left leaning friends and relatives. More than before, I am able to argue an issue better equiped and often score the point. Slowly they are coming around.
Time to drop a little something in the “tip jar” to mark this occasion.
Kate: @12:47
That’s the effect I describe, manifested personally over the table, as opposed to the anonymity of the internet or the media.
Congrats, Kate.
(I still want to buy you a beer or 3 some day)
Mad Mike
Happy to see that!!
Congrats!
@Mad Mike…
I guess I misunderstood your point. I thought you were saying that hearing an SDA reference spoken had buoyed your fellow conservatives’ spirits, not depressed them.
I respect and appreciate that Kate…thanx…
ACMarc:
Sorry, poor use of language on my part. What I tried to describe was how the right-leaning in the group were given courage (“the nerve”) to say what they really thought by my mentioning SDA in the conversation.
So…What’s the word I’m looking for?
🙂
Mad Mike
Thanks Kate for such enticing posts with an elegant well run Blog. That promotes liberty with decency.
You have made a difference, make no mistake.
In Canada, its been a light in a dark cave.
Thanks also for allowing us our rants & raves.
This is a portal to truth. A place to set down to read what others dare not say.
Thank you!!!! Now on to 50,000,000

Emboldened? Encouraged (literal sense)? Heartened? It’s past my bedtime, so I’m a little short on other options just now. :-\
I got caught misusing “enervated” years ago, so I’m sensitive to it now. 🙂
Thanks Kate. Before I stumbled on to this site it was a toss up between a free bottle in front of me or a pre-frontal lobotomy. Now I’m down to a glass of wine.
Congrats Kate! I’ve been visiting since 2005. Have enjoyed this blog immensely!
I read you every day from down here in Kansas…I love your site, and have learned a lot about Canada..I root for all my conservative friends to prevail…
Gee, it seems so long ago that I found this oasis of sanity amid the ciaos of the blogosphere. Now, I’m addicted to the small town Saskatchewan girl that talks back to her radio. My, how your blog has grown. Congratulations are indeed in order.
Still think you should do a “then & now” piece. Who was your first commenter?
Thanks Kate. You are the best!
Well done Kate!
I remember when I was first refered here, probably by someone at Canadaka.
I saw the site name and the pic of the dead “rat”. I thought, great, they refered me to some tree hugger’s site who gets bent out of shape over a dead gopher!
Turns out I was wrong……LOL!
Great job, Kate! Thanks for enabling a gathering of conservative, aka common-sense, not brainwashed, commenters on what’s happening in the world. SDA is a 21st-century David/Goliath story, showing the power of one harnessing the power of thousands.
Well-done! Drum rolls …
And even better? Kate has not seen any reason to change what ain’t broke!
The same site layout all this time. No annoying flash or broadband requirements.
Even the site itself is conservative!
Thanks Kate I have been reading your blog for many years. Thanks to you and many readers the leftists and the msm can not tell the little lies and half truths for they will be called on it. Long live free enterprise and free speech.
Bike weather is just around the corner. 🙂
Thank You Kate.
Long time daily reader, since Mark Steyn mentioned you on the air.
You’re the best thing on the internet.
Good On Ya Kate!
My guess, by 3:00 pm today SDA will have hit 25,000,000
“The best is yet to come”
I came across your blog by accident while surfing. I thought what a great name for a site. I wonder what it’s about? It was around the time when the wackos were making a big deal of not burning any lights on a Saturday night. They made it sound like it was an ecumenical movement that would change the world by their candle burning, a few of them snapping at their neighbors for not joining the celebration.
Alas they seem to be running out of perfumed wax.
Your efforts mean a lot to many, many people.
Remember waaaay back when we were counting down (up?) to 1 million? Keep up the excellent work Kate.
I came here via either Steyn or Shaidle (found Shaidle through Steyn, so it amounts to the same thing), and I’ve been hanging around ever since. Me like SDA.
Not much I can add to what’s been said here other than I am proud of having been, in a small way, a participant in your journey. All the best.

From one Pittbull to another, Luv Ya Kate from down heya in Louisi-Yana, Philip.
And, like Mike, one day we are gona have an SDA Conference in Las Vegas and we will all share a cold beer.
The only blog that I MUST check everyday!
Found SDA through a link from “Castle Argghh” ie: thedonovan.com, while pursuing some military news.
Keep up the good work Kate!
This is the best blog, if more politicians read it every day they would no longer pander to the loser leftie-parasties of society and realize it is us, the working contributing taxpaying level headed (minus anon/iberia etc) members of a civil societies opinions, you don’t need a town hall meeting politicians, it is right here. Joe Oliver needs our help now, the leftie eco lovin media are having a Lizzy Mae hoedown right now with a letter he wrote full of common sense. Congrats Kate.
This blog and the National Post start my day. The big challenge I see for the future is, what to do when what is currently an oasis of sanity in a sea of absurdity becomes, itself, the mainstream opinion? The day will come. One can already see its spillovers in the comments in the Globe and Mail etc. Hasta la Victoria Siempre!
Congratulations Kate. You have by far the best blog out there. Been reading your site since 2004.
Keep up the great work you do.
What an accomplishment! Great blog!
Start and end each day here. Thank you Kate!

c’mon team . . . push harder.
I never did find out what #25,000,000 gets for being at the right blog at the right time…
I think I found SDA from a Free Dominion chat many years ago,(2004?) and have visited more than once a day since. It is wonderful to recall the refreshing feeling of reading like minded commentary and discussion. We were under the Libs at the time and screaming for a change.
It has arrived, and more changes coming. Can we possibly measure the impact SDA and other bloggers have had on good changes to Canada? Thanks Kate for this great site!Keep up the great work!!
Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?
SDA is my first stop of the day in my travels around the net and has been since 2004. 25 million thanks to Kate for creating this wonderful place.
