  2. Bill Cosby(God Bless Him) pointed out these people should spend the $200 on books, etc, instead of Air Jordans for their Kids.
    But these folks, hard done by to be sure, feel only the guberment(taxpayers) should fork the bill for the right choices.

  11. Would it be politically incorrect to suggest the report (from the Seattle link posted by EBD) was somewhat skewed? It showed what appeared to be the only two white faces in the crowd as having scored a pair, while a black lady wondered why all the fuss? They’re only shoes for Chrissake! What the hell kind of society have they ended up with? We’re talking Atlanta, Indianapolis, Seattle, Houston and how many others? Absofarking unbelievable!

  16. I’m an American who has seen this kind of social pathology develop since the 1960s. This is what happens when a whole demographic sector of a modern welfare state becomes dependent on government “social programs.” Anyone who thinks that the underlying purpose of said programs is to help people who are down on their luck get back on their feet has been smoking too much funny weed for too long. The incidence of illegitimacy among black Americans is now up to 72.5%, even with an approximately 50% abortion rate among pregnant black women.
    This would be bad enough in and of itself, but just because they have opted to marry the state rather than their babies’ fathers doesn’t mean that they have foresworn the company of men. The mothers of these children allow a parade of men–who, in the best of cases, model some really bad behavior for their children, and, in the worst, abuse them in various unsavory ways–to troop through their homes. But not to worry, as the welfare state extends its tentacles ever deeper into all of society, other demographic groups are catching up, so that 40.8% of all U. S. births are now illegitimate (white births being 29.0% illegitimate, Hispanic births 53.2%, and Asian births 17.0%). Soon, _everybody_ will be acting just like the folk in the featured video.

  17. I made a point at Christmas or birthdays with my kids to NOT get them what they wanted. They got what they needed. When they got to be teens they knew better than to ask for the ‘IN’ items. They also had jobs to purchase the wants. They rarely came home with a ridiculous purchase – but if they did they soon realized they’d wasted their hard earned $. The school of fairly hard knocks (not to be confused with the school of hard knocks my grandparents attended!) produces adept, respectful, hard working, responsible adults.

  25. Thank God the mother was arrested, I hope she gets life in prison for this. The cops should have used the jaws of life to cut the top of her car off to reach the little dears, and not simply break the glass and risk cutting them. I suppose they didn’t because we can assume she probably stole it in the first place.

    The US has now found itself in the position that if they don’t keep the free money flowing, the blood will start flowing in the streets.
    We are all headed in the same direction; some western countries are just a little further along than others.
    This is not a smart place to be as a society, and how can you go back without complete social breakdown and anarchy. So it’s inevitable eventually, it’s just a matter of when.
