  4. I’m a big NFL fan and watched the Denver Chicago “replay game” on the NFL station on tuesday night.
    It was almost like watching Rocky for the first time knowing the “accepted wisdom” of the football media brain trust – guys like Warren Sapp and Michael Irving being that “Teebow doesn’t stand a chance” from day one.
    Football media have found their Sarah Palin.
    Many have quite rightly, had to publicly eat their words as Teebow continues to produce wins.

    The guy’s a Rookie!
    The Denver fans rented a highway billboard just outside the stadium to try to convince the coaches to put in Teebow.
    His college coach is famous for having said “you will be a better person after you meet Tim Teebow for 10 minutes”.
    Unbelievable, story of the YEAR so far!!!!

  8. I watched the Tim Tebow miracle game against Chicago.
    It was great.
    But that soccer style kicker,
    kicked a 59 yard field goal that probably could/would have went 64 yards.
    Then he kicked a game winning field goal.
    If Tebow played a miracle game.
    That soccer style kicker should be able to walk on water..

  9. Over two years ago, I gathered my kids around the computer, and showed them a 40 second clip of Tebow giving ‘The Speech’.
    I was in awe of Tebow back then and am absolutely giddy over his unconventional success to date. He’s like Flutie, Garcia and Pure Innocent Wholesome Goodness all wrapped into one.
    Football is absolutely a team sport, and his ability to inspire and lead his teammates makes this story what it is. This is one of the few media waves that, in my opinion, is not overblown. He really is that interesting and worthwhile to be watching and talking about.
    The fact that he is on Kate’s radar just reaffirms my choice of favorite blog….

  11. I was a Aaron Rogers fan(GB)well before last years Super bowl. I hated that his talent was benched while Favre lamed out. Then he got his chance and put GB back on the map in his first season. And this year,,, I hope he gets another one this Sunday and goes undefeated.. (very classy Christian man like Tebow)
    After saying all that ,,,Tebow has made me a believer. Like others have said, he pisses of all the right people so gracefully with a “bless their heart” intro,,,it drives them NUTS!. I forgot who sacked him a couple of games back and mockingly “Tbowed” the fans after the play. Tebow just said “aw he was just having some fun,,,VERY class act.
    Rush even got dragged into this with the GOP, commenting on the difference between the Rep party and Rogers and Tebow.
    It was leadership.
    The Reps don’t have it Like those young men do.

  17. I think the guys on Total Access just like saying his name. We tried to develop a drinking game where every time someone says Tebow during a game (Broncos or otherwise), you have to drink. Well, the cases weren’t lasting long enough so we had to give it up.
    Will he be another Manning, Rodgers, Brady or John “the God” Elway? I guess time will tell. Like my Eagles have proven time and again, you can have a great quarterback, but without a defense, you may as well stay home.
    Defense wins games, offense gets all the credit…..or in this case, Tebow *drink*

  31. Revnant Dream, reading the link I noticed that in 2010-11, accident and emergency cases rose by 77,374 to 1.59 million. As the population of Scotland is only 5.2 million this seems a little high as it means 1 person for every 3.2 made a trip to hospital. If so no wonder the costs are so high for the line staff and incredible for management.

    I am at a lutheran church we are very small now but we are the origional lutheran church the bible IS the word of god cover to cover …so we will not marry gay’s nor will we have a gay pastor nor wil we have a female pastor EVER that is following the rules and laws of scripture weather you like it or not we are pro life and we follow scirpture as it is written ….but all to often we get lumped in with the whole entire left wing (sorry to politicise the church) lutheran church witch is much bigger than our’s so you MUST be careful when you make those kinds of comment’s …same with baptist some baptist churches are reading from korans and marring gay’s and defending a womans right to slaughter her unborn child….while a block over the baptist church there could be completley opposite ….unfortunatley many in here generalize …and so now we can see one reason there are so many denominations of churches….it comes down to interpretation if you want to know it is simple……..

  43. paul in calgary, yes, of course. Sorry to generalize. I was referring to the original Anglican Church and this could pertain to many of the other old mainline churches. The more faithful in each denomination have spun off and formed their own conferences.

    Eric Holder, current attorney general of the United States, managed an FBI operation that provided explosives to Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols just prior to the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Building in Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995, according to official documents released during the ongoing investigation into government foreknowledge of the supposed terrorist attack.
    According to the documentation provided in the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit brought against the Department of Justice by Salt Lake City attorney Jesse Trentadue, the Oklahoma City bombing had aspects of being an FBI sting operation that went out of control. Holder had authorized the FBI to provide explosives to Nichols and McVeigh, then lost track of both the explosives and their targets. McVeigh went on to detonate some of the explosives outside the federal building, an act that was designed to help anti-terrorism legislation pass Congress. But an additional case of explosives was unaccounted for.
    After the bombing, when the FBI learned the location of the explosives, Holder reportedly sent emails to FBI agents ordering them to recover the explosives before they could be found by some other branch of the government. FBI agents failed to spot the additional, unexploded explosives during an initial search of Nichols’s home and offered to spare him the death penalty if he would help them recover them.
    The case of explosives was, however, recovered by another law enforcement agency and was later determined to have the incriminating fingerprints of two FBI agents, as well as fingerprints of McVeigh and Nichols.
    Shortly after the bombing, Kenneth Trentadue, a government informant, was murdered in his prison cell. His family has been pursuing legal action against the federal government ever since.
    In 2001, in a bid to avoid a full release of documents, the Federal Bureau of Prisons paid a settlement of $1.1 million to several members of Trentadue’s family, but his brother refused to drop the investigation and filed a FOIA lawsuit for the missing documents. That suit has been ongoing in the Salt Lake City federal courthouse.
