I agree with you on the second part of your statement. However the guy didn’t lack any toughness about him. My observation indicates she needs a guy who is less drunk more than anything.
From the video he is easily the drunkest person there. So drunk that he couldn’t even throw a punch, nor walk in any sort of a straight line. He even looks like he forgets that there’s four idiots beating his girl up. He leaves her sitting on the ground to go pick up his jacket in the middle of the fight. And then continue to try and fight with it in his left hand. Clearly he’s seeing double!

Well I can see where they’re coming from! I mean the first time I got drunk, not being used to it and all, I, um . . . . weaved my way back to my barracks, crawled into bed and slept it off. . . . But then I wasn’t muslim either.
Judges get so sick of dealing with alcohol fueled altercations, sometimes they just want to brush them away, and get on with their day. He likely expected some sort of appeal from the muzzy defense lawyer, so caved on the sentence. If he thought that was going to avoid controversy, he seems to have been wrong.

There is a quasi legal system in many western jurisdictions and not a justice system.
I shall speculate several results of this outrage…
1) Intended result most likely these 4 will behave themselves for a time.
2) Other Somalis and ME types of both genders will be emboldened to commit more assaults…already they are common.
3) Awareness by the pub-crawling whites will have then more sober, more wary and probably not abroad in numbers under at least 4….safety in #’s.

The boyfriend was in a no win situation. He either does nothing and is berated (rightly) for doing nothing to help his girlfriend. Or, he throws a few punches of his own to protect his girlfriend, and the legal industry would throw the book at him. He’s a white male, so you know he’d get prison time.
It’s time for some hard core vigilantism anywhere that this sort of garbage occurs. Be smart and develop a plan. Wear clothes that make you impossible to identify by Orwell cams. Pack a firearm that you can keep in the pocket of a high necked coat or hoodie. Baiting is optional but should be considered if you know the area and the suspects are known badass types. If you are approached or taunted, let them come to you. When threatened, shoot through your clothing and walk away. Walk or take a cab home and discard the firearm (obviously can’t be a legal one) and clothing that contains gunshot residue. Take a nice hot shower and have a beer.
On the bright side, their fathers know they were drunk/drinking so maybe they’ll punish them.

I like your Pavilions at Folkfest category, but this story (after rereading the misleading Daily Mail version of events and watching the video) is completely contradictory to it. An imam could say the attackers were acting like typical, trashy, non-Muslim, liberated Western women. Just another example of what happens when you let your little girl stray too far from the Word of Allah. “Look at them. Painted up like harlots for the purpose of being harlots. Drinking Satan’s water. Keep them covered and don’t let them out of the sight of a good strong Muslim man or they’ll end up stuck with a drunken yob like this embarassment.”
I mostly come to sda for the skepticism of the MSM, but linking to this horribly misleading race baiting is bad. Calls the attackers a gang. If you can, ignore their color and the lawyer’s Muslim excuse (like the judge did) and they look like crazy drunken beatches really really angry about something. The judge didn’t use the Muslim excuse in his sentencing, the lawyer tried to use it. The judge had to go on testimony from six extremely drunk people and video with no audio.
Watch the video. Around 1:00 the “victim” starts kicking an attacker. Understandable, self defense. But it looks like the boyfriend is trying to stop HER, the one claiming she thought she was going to die. Break in the video at 1:20 and the action moves to where the attackers were previously. Did they drag her over there or did she go back looking for more?
What I concluded from the video was the guy got stuck with a crazy drunk that wouldn’t keep her mouth shut, screaming back and forth with four other crazy drunks. The four escalated to violence and he (drunkenly) tried to gentlemanly push/pull them away. He didn’t start swinging (or even drop his jacket) right away because he knew that his “lady”friend was partially responsible for the whole situation.
As I said, I like the Pavilions at Folkfest category, but it doesn’t apply here at all. The attackers are completely Westernized, right down to the victim culture. The Mail calls Miss Page a care worker, too. She’s actually an unemployed, former care worker. Stress and flashbacks. I’m guessing that’s a couple boxes she could check off on her welfare application.
