  1. How about officials quit monitoring the situation and just simply end it? These protesters are violating numerous city ordinances that the rest of use are expected to obey.

  2. Gosh, that’s terrible.
I mean, we wouldn’t want them to catch the terminal s***s or anything like that, would we….

  3. And now the municiapal by-laws are going to be put into effect. You know those corallary’s to protection spotted hairy catepillar salmon owl laws these guys are so fond of. Execept these by laws are older and were created for reasons of sanitation and fire protection.
I suspect they will blame these by laws on the 1% or claim to be libertarians or something.
They revealed themselves to be a collection of ill organized louts who shouldnt be put in charge of a high school play.
    Mission accomplished.

  4. Here’s a question: The City of Vancouver has to go to court to get an injunction to remove these idiots. How come?
Next time I get a parking ticket, does the city have to get an injunction to enforce it?
Two sets of rules, it seems.

  5. “Can you catch vd from peeing in a public coke bottle?”
Not likely. For me anyway… At least, not any more. I will never buy another Coke product until they quit funding radical and corrupt organizations like the WWF. I boycott any and all corporations that fund any group that peddles the failed CO2 hypothesis. The list is quite long, but it is fairly easy to do.

  6. VD is a problem in the camps?? I feel dirty if I don’t shower for a day. I know that’s a tad extreme but the thought of being intimate with someone who hasn’t bathed in days makes my skin crawl. Echhh!!

  7. At least this Luddite doosh attempted to answer the questions(at a Grade 5 hearing and comprehension disabled level mind you) and not devolve into ad hominem attacks.

  8. Coca Cola is on the anti CO2 bandwagon? Thats rich coming from a company that manufactures CO2 infused beverages for human consumption for a living. I wonder whether they ever thought that one through?

  9. It’s strange that people like this succumb to mass delusion regarding the safety of trace antibiotics in beef and chicken yet ignore multiple, raging epidemics in these camps to join the club. These people have demondtrated through their cluelessness about the health hazards of these camps that they have nothing to contribute with respect to proper public policy.

  10. The ‘burning’ answer is yes.
It would take a bit of work, but it is possible. I prefer catching my STD’s the old-fashioned way, instead of using a coke bottle,I just mount-and-do.

  11. To the breathless Jane Tabers and Kady Omalleys that are reporting this sh.., we don’t care! Us Working, providing, taxpaying, law abiding, child protecting people out here, don’t care what disease or what volume of cluster humping goes on amongst the dregs of society, I say give out poison dope, with a bottle of coke, and the problem is solved.

  12. I’m waiting for the first troll to come in here and totally miss the “lead in line”, it had me rolling on the floor:-)))))
as to these misfits, it is a extension of the leftist mind set, and a scary thing when you consider that they can VOTE!!!

  13. Mike in WR
The injunction is perceived by mayor moonbeam to make the courts the ‘ bad guy’ instead of his lovely self.
That has has worked out well so far, hasn’t it?
    /sarc

  14. It is not surprising that this is happening.
TrueNorthist, exactly. We have not knowingly purchased a coke product since I heard about this and checked the coke cola website during the Copenhagen fiasco.
Pepsi it is here now, as little of this type of product we use.

  15. The saddest part of these demonstrations is that it highlights how poor our choice of voting in Civic elections has been!
I listened carefully to the mayor of Vancouver being interviewed. The sum of all his words amounted to nothing. How in the hell can folks in Vancouver elect that kind of jerk? Put a nipple on any coke bottle and hand it to him.
He is the problem…not the squatters!

  16. Living in squalor spreads disease? Gee, who would have thunk. Just wait until the rats show up.

  17. Coca Cola is anti-CO2 and by all measures anti-industry. They think I shouldn’t have a job. I’ll see what I can do about their jobs. I’m the butt head who when asked if Pepsi is okay reply no. Boycott Coke.

  18. Well if ya had half a brain you wouldn’t try to pee into a coke bottle, you would opt for a bottle with a wider mouth.
Mind you, if you were smart enough to make that elementary deduction you probably wouldn’t be protesting with that bunch of morons in the first place…

  19. Didn’t we use to quarantine aholes like this, instead of kicking them out of there to spread the diseases around???
Oh.And burn their tents for fleas.See how they like NYC in the winter under truly green conditions(or would that be white?)

  20. I almost feel sorry for our lefty media. Climbing Everest would be easy compared to making these losers look good.

  21. Well if ya had half a brain you wouldn’t try to pee into a coke bottle, you would opt for a bottle with a wider mouth.
    ~Jim
See Jim, you need to envision that the questioner isn’t as well endowed as normal males(like you) and is probably inserting his member into the bottle
and not getting a vacuum seal.
What I’m saying is, he cain’t make butter with a toothpick.
As for the ‘public coke bottle’ phrasing, either he’s having flashbacks to the movie ‘the Gods must be Crazy’ or he’s going to get VD from that ‘public coke bottle’ having been used ‘Richard Gere style’.

  22. “Can you catch vd from peeing in a public coke bottle?”
Simple answer?: not if you are the only one who uses the coke bottle.
Truth be told it’s a serious question for a homeless person, because in the middle of freezing winter sleeping on the street,
    a) there are usually no washrooms readily available, and
    b) people are often bundled up like mummies — wrapped in cardboard et cetera — in order to keep warm, and stripping down in the middle of the night to take a whiz can be a major operation. Answer? The coke bottle!
(Oh no…I hear a sudden stampede of unemployed Social workers putting in grant applications for a “Coke Bottle Exchange Program”!)
The humorous thing about this is that these OWS kids are rank amateurs where “living like the poor” is concerned — most homeless people who live on the street choose to be there so they can get away from the overcrowding in the homeless shelters, and the resulting infectuous diseases, the thefts, the violence, lack of privacy, et cetera, from living in such close proximity to one another. In other words, real poor people actually hate “communalism” because of all problems it can cause.
These poor deluded OWS kids are combining the worst of both worlds: living on the street in the cold exposed to the elements, with the conditions of communal overcrowding found in the shelters resulting in easy spread of disease.
So I guess Karl Marx wasn’t such a smart man after all, was he kids? When he wrote the “Communist Manifesto” I don’t think Marx had ever slept outside in a commune on the street in the middle of winter — in fact Marx lived comfortably off of the charity of his friend, Frederich Engels, who was the son of a wealthy factory owner. Engels’ dad was one of those evil 1% percenters who offered Marx a warm comfortable living while he wrote about revolution in 19th Century England.

  23. How can you tell an occupier. They all got warjugs and a mattress under their arm heading for a park…

  24. Like many here, I was all in favour of tearing down the protests, in the last week I have changed my mind.
The occupants are of a type who want to stop most development-no oil pipelines, no tar sands etc-fair enough, let them subsist in the kind of world where corporate earnings collapse, people are unemployed and governments revenues trend to zero. In summary let them live in pathetic tents and hobo towns, begging for food, getting sick and in some cases dying. They might then realise what a capitalist economy provides them.
So I say let them stay, and learn the lessons that our educational system failed to impart.
And to the demonstrators-welcome to the Obama depression. Enjoy it.

  25. They should rename the Vancouver occupod area to its most deserved name”
    GregorVille, or maybe VisionCopeland

  26. Speaking of Coke bottles, the headquarters of CocaCola is in Atlanta Ga. which is where this video clip was made. You have to get a load of the genius of this Occupy movement leader. It is sub titled in a couple of spots for those of you who do not speak the Eubonic language of American Negroes, I think it’s too funny,
    HERE

  27. “They should rename the Vancouver occupod area to its most deserved name”
    GregorVille, or maybe VisionCopeland”
I am kind of partial to “Gregor’s Squat”

  28. Ricardo,you’re bang on.
They are amateurs, and the genuine homeless will use them, and I don’t blame them one bit.The streets are mean, living on them is more survival than living.
The ‘occupy’ movement does have a silver lining, and the brief respite for the street poeple is it.

  29. Much better.
The gov’t is keeping her and the others from using their degrees, you know. It’s a shame, you know.

  30. Benign neglect. Let Darwin do his job.
    exactly.
Like children with tantrums they’re only doing this for the attention it brings. Ignore them and they’ll go away.

  31. wallyj at November 12, 2011 1:57 PM,
Exactly. Although one part of me feels for the OWSers — it reminds me of my idealism in my own youth. I think idealism is actually a good thing, but what ruins it is ideology — when people try to “systematize” it especially with Commie politics. BTW, I actually lived on a couple successful communes back in those days, but they were successful because there was no politics etc.
People also don’t seem to realize that communal living, collectivism, et cetera, never meant abolishing private property, destroying free marketeering and individual freedoms, until Marxism came along. The fact is that even ancient tribal societies — who lived collectively for survival purposes — still had free market systems. Archaeologists have found tribal products traded from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego.
And in traditional communes in Latin America, for example, in both the cities and among the rural Indigenous Peoples, everybody has their own personal space, private property, personal and free opinion, and engages in free marketeering.
When Marx wrote about traditional “communitarianism” in the Manifesto he got it totally wrong — he misnomered these traditional societies “communist” and the insane tyrannical ideology we are familiar with today is built on that error in fact, among others.
Anyway, back to coke bottles or Kate is going to get pissed at me (no pun intended) for going off topic again. A good time to mention the 1980 movie the “The God’s Must Be Crazy” — it’s about a coke bottle and an ancient tribe, and I think it demonstrates quite accurately, albeit with humorous artistic license, the multiple dynamics involved in ancient tribalism. You don’t come out of that movie thinking that tribal people were “communists” or anything remotely resembling the Ché Guevara types of OWS.

  32. Dang! Once again, my comments are caught in the filter. Kate, could you please post some more explicit rules somewhere so that we can learn what triggers it? thx.

  33. Hi maybe some of you have a good point. Let’s leave them right alone, and let the street thugs and vermin prey on them. The real street people need lovin and free things too. They can get all of that at the Occupy Palaces. Think of it kinda like Le Grande Design another Social Engineering Experiment. Only in this one it is real disease, real murder, real drugs, real rapes…..

  34. KevnB – if you’re going to fill up a comment with references to genitalia, and the practical use of same, you can pretty much depend on the junk filter leaping to attention – no matter your intent. I’m not publishing it, sorry.

  35. Hey did you guys catch that in the comments.
FLEA BAGGERS now thats a catch monicker. But I tell ya I’d take a Tae Bagger over a Flea Bagger

  36. Coke Bottle = Vessel of any other name > Fill the Vessel = Who is your Daddy?
The cross-eyed hippie, with the clown ears, is seeding the female morons. Who would guess that a group of dysfunctional young’en will emerge? It worked in the 60’s !

  37. I agree with Cascadian and glenn.
Perhaps the movement needs to implode rather than being dismantled in order for the “hangers on” to realize that life in N.A. isn’t so bad.
Deliberate deconstruction fuels the fire more and only adds to the list of grievances.
It would be interesting to see, if left intact, how they would evolve (or devolve…more likely).

  38. “It would be interesting to see, if left intact, how they would evolve (or devolve…more likely).”
Hunger, pestilence and ultimately, war. Hell, they’ve got the first two already and they haven’t even been at it six months.
It will all kind of whimper down to nothing when ACORN’s money runs out. Or possibly when thousands of taxpayers show up and MOCK them into submission.
As the bloggers show, no need to hit. Just point and laugh. Special snowflakes melt in the sun.
