Oh… I have a pretty good idea what the gas bill “came to”. Having put 60K plus km on my van this year.
Well, that was just annoying. And the music sucked, too.
Some things just don’t lend themselves to portrayal by time-lapse photography, and travel is one of them.

gonna do a similar route next summer except down the Mississippi rather than the east coast and skip northwest.

I didn’t really, really consider it work…except for picks and drops….
I saw most of the continent and most folks were amazed that my old dog was more widely travelled than they were. I didn’t bat an eye to take off for the left coast with a load of steel or a load of bottled water for Tampa…
Day driving in the Rockey’s was not fun with all the tourist traffic…even the dog growled at them….
Now I have to do more planning for a 60k shopping run…
It is a little difficult to grow old with grace….
I don’t think its really possible to capture how really Diverse North America is in climate, people or attitudes, politics or even accents. Its just to big.
