In an unprecedented move, it issued what can only be called an attack ad against Peladeau. It wasn’t a news story. It was a false and defamatory attack on our company, as vengeance for our questions about how the CBC spends taxpayer money.
If any other government department had done something like this, whoever responsible would be fired immediately. It wasn’t just unprofessional. It wasn’t just outside of its mandate of what it is given its government money for. It was an attempt to destroy a private-sector competitor.

Story time. This lashing out of the CBC reminds me of a time when I saw a rat run into an old drive through granary. I picked up a piece of 2 x 4 and went in after it. As I entered one of the side bins and just as I spotted it, it screamed and jumped for me. I have never been good at sports, but hit a home run that time and nailed it at about a 3 foot height. I still remember the scream. A cornered rat always attacks.

It is natural that a left wing org like the CBC would be making every effort to submarine the CPC at every turn. What is different is the majority government and a majority that is not controlled by Quebec or even Ontario.

James Moore may have been beneficial to the CBC, but perhaps its time for such a generous soul to be put in charge of veterans affairs, and somebody that has been the brunt of CBC criticism assigned to heritage, like say Max Bernier.

The CBC has been telling us for years that black people in Canada and around the world are inferior and in need of our constant “help”. Over half of their public front staff is black in an obvious belittlement through tax funded Affirmative Action. They patronizingly believe they are doing poor little black people a favour and disproving any racism on their behalf. The opposite is true by over nurturing them as if caring for little retarded children they are only proving their racism in its true sense of it’s meaning.

Riopelle is pretty famous, talentless, but famous. I have never heard of the other two though.
It does give one pause to consider that a non-famous artwork by a non-famous Canadian “artist” of questionable talent (check the pictures) RENTS for over thirty five hundred bucks a year.
You can see how the CBC might consider itself a bargain at only $1.2 billion per anum.

Looked at their “works of the week” and some absolute crap there that has been paid for with taxpayers dollars. I’ve seen 5 year olds produce more original work than some of the works of “art”.
They have a before and after slide show of their offices and I think the before pictures looked considerably better than the after pictures which were “enhanced” by some of the “art” they are trying to rent to people.
It would be interesting to find out what the total budget of all of these useless agencies created by Liebranoe$ adds up to yearly.

In the ’60s and ’70s, Michael Snow (and his late wife, Joyce Weiland, were celebrity artists in Canada. You can Wiki both of them; my original response is stuck in the filter, probably because I included the links.)
‘Turns out that Michael Snow is an alumnus of Upper Canada College, which means he’d have had a lot of influential contacts. One of his famous works back then (he’s still painting, making videos, installations, doing photography and holography, etc., etc.) is Walking Women, highly overrated, IMO, and nothing to get excited about. The Canadian intelligentsia and art world, however, did get excited and Mr. Snow and his wife got a lot of government grants.
In most countries, minuteman, famous artists are “famous” because of their art. In Canada, famous artists are taxpayer-funded and are famous in their own minds and in those of the chattering class. (Plus, they all party together and their kids go to the same schools and camps.)
