  1. Wait until the real American poor decide that they want a piece of the action.
These delusional twits are opening a can of worms on top of a dry tinder funeral pyre. How much of this is a planned “Change” on Obama’s to-do list is anyone’s guess. Regardless it will create allot of chaos for him to make order from.

  2. maybe its just me, but she seems to look like a beaver (sans tail), and he looks like a rat

  3. ‘bama and the moonbats are trying to manufacture a crisis…quite possibly so they ca ndeclare a ‘state of emergency’ and suspend trivial things like…elections.
odd how these protesters are wearing $300 jeans and carrying $2000 laptops while admitting to being paid up to $20/hr by affiliates of the democratic party for their ‘services’….

  4. The real difference is that the guy on the left is AT work. George Soros and ACORN (Obama campaign cut-out) are paying him to walk around with that sign.
Astroturf, not just for football anymore!

  5. Most of these people complain about unemployment and lack of opportunities and then *in the same breath* blame employers for the problem. They say it’s because employers don’t pay enough taxes when they already pay the highest rates in the world. If I were an evil CEO right now I’d just pack up my crap and head off to some tropical island in a lounge chair. Screw ’em. The fact that these people don’t do that is a testament to their fortitude either that or they have a massive spending problem but I doubt it.

  6. Read somewhere yesterday a Lady working in the area said the park these Protesters are staying at is looking more like a sewer everyday.
I hope they protest all the way to Nov. 2012. Ever since this started Obambi’s poll numbers are sinking like the Titanic. Protest Baby, Protest.

  7. Some of the comments from the “We are the 99%” crowd are…well, make me shake my head.
“I am 27 years old. I have a child, and my partner of 8 years and I both have jobs. I am TERRIFIED to graduate college, I will owe over 50,000 in student loan debt and I am having doubts my two A.S. degrees and my B.S. in Ecology will get me anywhere. We both work hard, but live paycheck to paycheck. We have no health insurance and hope we never get sick because we can’t afford to pay medical bills. All we wanted was to have decent paying jobs, decent medical care, and to be able to purchase a decent home for our child to grow up in. We are hard workers who DESERVE it!”
Like the lady above. Okay – I don’t know her. I don’t know her situation. They might be more there than meets the eye – and likely is. All I have to go by is her text and statement. To which I have to respond: Grow up.
You’re 27. You’re an adult by any recognized fact of our society, so maybe it’s time you took off your Underroos and threw on some grown lady panties for a second.
Deserve? You don’t DESERVE anything, you twit.
You’re living right now because your parents, whomever they are, decided to bump uglies – for whatever reason. You’re the result. Are you ready for the harsh news?
The world doesn’t owe you a living. It doesn’t owe you a laptop or internet connection, it doesn’t owe you 2000 calories a day, it doesn’t owe you Starbucks on Thursday afternoon or three weeks vacation a year at some trendy resort town. The world doesn’t care whether you’re a Bushman in Australia, a student in San Diego, a freelance photographer trekking somewhere off the beaten path a thousand miles from anyone, or a starving child in the heart of Africa. The world isn’t going to bring you up into a Gaia-like embrace and coddle you when you fall down and skin your knee, nor hand you awards for mediocrity and give you ‘attaboys’ for ‘just participating’ (things like that are reserved for people who have your ‘best interests at heart’).
I realize this may come as a shock to you – take a moment and perhaps breathe deep for a few moments.
It is not the responsibility of the State to ensure you have a decent paying job, decent medical care, or decent home to raise your child in.
    That’s YOUR responsibility.
    Own up to it.

  8. Karthanon, they state that all they wanted was a decent paying job and they have a B.S. in Ecology?
Who gave them the idea that ecology was a growth industry where they could expect to get meaningful employment?
    Probably not Wall Street.

  9. A certain family member recently suggested that I youtube some garbage sympathetic to the so called ‘occupy’ movement. This was my reply:
You think it’s gonna change my mind? While I agree that people don’t need 5 billion dollars I disagree with forced intervention. No matter how much joe public gets, it always wants more. How did Socialism work out in Greece or Portugal where entitlements are coming out the wazoo.
Side note – I do disagree with the government bailouts that both the Bush and Obama administrations have been guilty of. These execs that basically committed fraud were the first ones with their hands out when things went south. I believe in capitalism – these guys aren’t capitalists. However, it’s also government policies that have gotten us into this mess as well – eg – mortgages are way to easy to get for unqualified people.
While many folks are in desperate need, many of these protesters are complaining about bogus ‘poverty’. I wonder how many of them have big screen TV’s, cable, food on the table, a fridge to put it in and an XBOX.
Leftist ideas are dangerous. I disagree with your idea of capping salaries at 3 million. The thing about free will is that you actually need to be presented with a choice. It’s part of what makes us human. I’m not going to budge. I don’t expect you to either – you’re entitled to your opinion…at least for now, until we end up with government regulation of your free speech. Just you wait – it’s coming!
One other thing – this movement is backed by big militant labor unions. In Saturday’s National Post the president of the BC Teachers Federation was quoted as saying that teachers know better than parents and that the role of teachers is to cure them from their parents bigotry (eg opinions about homosexuality.) Whatever happened to reading, writing, and math?
    Have a nice day.

  10. My favourite quote ever… and I’ve memorized and used this for years:
“Some people think the world owes them a living. The world doesn’t owe you anything. It was here first.”
    –Mark Twain
    I love this cartoon.

  11. I wonder when the protesters will realize that some illegal immigrants have taken some of “their” jobs or become a drain on the system? Maybe they have, but those jobs wouldn’t be glamorous enough any how: and criticizing illegals would just mess up their whole “open borders” issue.
They expect the world to “work”, but not they; well not hard an how.

  12. Q: How do you break up an Occupy Wall Street crowd?
A: Set up a jobs fair.
    — Dennis Miller on O’Reilly tonight.

  13. Google “Going Galt”. More and more small-business people are realizing that the real cost of employees isn’t paid for by the extra productivity they might bring. Many are realizing it’s more profitable to be a self employed individual than to be an employer.

  14. opening a can of worms on top of a dry tinder funeral pyre
…and the point of this is???? burned worms??

  15. “All that protesting/marching in the streets of Moscow in 1917, did a lot for Russia.”
    Frank Q.
Yes it was necessary for Russians to rise again’st the czars as it was necessary for the French to rise again’st their own Royalty as both Country’s citizens were starving to an indifferent class of super elites but the problem with the Russians is that they did not choose the path to Democracy; instead they were promised utopia in return for their freedom…Same idea Barry is trying to sell right now.
