David Shreck is a loathsome NDP hack who thought he was soooooo smart, he could marginalize BC’s Premier, Christy Clark, with a prudish little tweet about her appearance. Here’s what Shreck, using his supposedly catty wife as a shield, said was inappropriate:
The mainstream media was all over this ridiculously stupid story. Michael Smyth ripped the hide off of Shreck. So did Charles Adler.
One of the interesting things Adler pointed out was how the politically correct NDP photoshopped an official photo of one of their MPs, Rathika Sitsabaiesan:

Are either of these women inappropriately dressed for a professional environment? Everyone I’ve asked says, “No Way!”
Perhaps Mr. Shreck should stay focused on the relationship with his own wife rather than publicly commenting on the appearance of other women. Interesting, isn’t it, how the NDP constantly reminds us that they’re incredibly supportive of women getting ahead and that they’re non-judgemental to a fault. Apparently that doesn’t apply if said women happen to deviate even one iota from their far-left agenda.
Someone should ask David “Judgemental” Shreck if he’d finally be happy when all Canadian women are dressed like this. What a loathsome putz!

Grow up Shrek, girls have tits, some big some little big deal, grow up. Adler should know better than to lower himself to this adolescent NDPEE/Lieberal blather, the Lieberal babies have had a free romper room world with our pathetic media in Canada, and it is time for people to tell the slimes to grow up. Oh look titees, unreal.
The NDP are trying very hard to get the support of the original and true conservative base. They first photo shopped their own MP’s cleavage out of a picture, now they are trying to win individuals by calling on those who aren’t as “conservative” as the NDP.
Does a computer have enough memory to Photoshop Libby?
@Bartinsky
Adler commented on how stupid this issue is just like you have.
bartinsky
It’s my opinion that the air in Crispy’s head got pumped into her boobs – hence the suddenly noticeable cleavage. I mean she had to do something about turning all that air into an advantage… don’t you think?
Straining at gnats and swallowing camels.
I guess Shreck had no problem with what Premier Clark had to say.
You’d think Shreck’s wife would have a problem with a husband who stares at women’s chests while ignoring what the women are saying.
So now we have “Teet Gate”
When is Mr. “Schreck-lich” going to denounce the phenomena of ‘plumber’s butt’. Now that is another cleavage that really has to go…
Sorry Mr. Shreck but I didn’t see any plunging necklines that reached down to the navel.
When the premier takes up pole dancing in a G-string, I’m sure we’ll hear about it.
Where oh where was Mr. Shreck when Laureen Harper was milking naked cow udders in public?
Well so much for titillating ‘debate’ in our legislatures…
Cheers

So is it just a matter of time before there is an answer in question period somewhere in the country that goes
“Mr Speaker, to answer the Honorable Members question, they’re real and they’re spectactular”
Look at this picture and then think of libby.
has the divide between left and right ever been so prominently displayed?
While I don’t think his comment was constructive, I’m not sure why the basis of his comment is being ridiculed. Boobs are a distraction to some guys. To others an obsession. If cleavage is showing it’s being actively ignored by upright men or ogled by leches. In either case it’s a distraction. Every woman should know this. Being a libertarian I don’t desire to impose clothing rules on people and I don’t in this case either. But any woman who shows cleavage is either ignorant or exploiting her ‘assets’ or doesn’t care about being an annoyance to the men around her. I’m not a prude. I’m just being honest. If the premier was a kid who wore his pants around his thighs I’m sure people would feel differently. I see no difference. Both are a distraction. Both imply poor judgement.
Perhaps he is just jealous or has recently converted.
Could also have been bottle fed.
.
I’m thinking he was busted by his wife for ogling at Ms. Clarks’ cleavage. Then like any red blooded man, comes up with a “reasonable” excuse as to why he is ogling.
He took it too far when he tweeted. The result… He put the other foot in his mouth to join the first one.
Men. They’re pigs I say. PIGS!!!!. {Now where’s my issue of Cleavage Monthly?}
David F., I agree with you. I’m no prude but I don’t think cleavage is appropriate for either the legislature or the classroom: I’m a teacher with a very definite divide between right and left—good one, cal2—who keeps it covered, in more ways than one, when I’m at school! (Unfortunately, a lot of teachers don’t.)
Have folks seen the abysmal choices our young girls/women are making re their attire? Schools have dress codes but—out of a misplaced regard for kids’ “rights” and fear of the parents—choose not to enforce them.
If Christy Clark were at a social function, her attire would be altogether appropriate—very attractive, even. However, in her professional capacity, she should be setting an example of good judgement and some restraint.
As for Mr. Shreck: what else would one expect from the usual, pea-brained, hypocritical lefty? (I wonder what he had to say about Jack’s tryst at The Velvet Touch . . .)
What a tw*t (pick your vowel).
If a woman goes to the trouble of making a “nice presentation”? It is something that should be tastefully admired.
Check his BBerry for “tips from Jack” and massage parlour addresses.
Why, oh, why won’t anyone pay attention to my moobs?!
Comment that made my day was “isn’t the NDP -against- sexist attitudes?”
Actually I love this. Mr. Shreck beclowning himself and his party without me having to do any work, just point and laugh. Awesome!
Incidentally girls, due to the insane level of tension in the modern PC office environment, where men regularly get fired for -looking- at the wrong woman the wrong way on the wrong day, us old timers have a request: save the scoop neckline for -after- work. Its hard enough trying to pretend to be a nice, non-threatening eunuch all day every day without y’all parading the rack in front of us.
Either that, or stop complaining when guys look down your shirt. You can’t have it both ways. We’re guys. Its what we do. Enjoy the inspection or zip-up, its your call. I suggest the stop-complaining option, because I like scoop necklines.
I can say this, because I AM a sexist/bigot/homophobe/neocon/war monger. Yeehaw!
Just another reason why the public is turned off to the politics of this country. The media & left wing socialist Nuts making a big deal about Nothing.
And at the same time CTV.ca is reporting a ‘Insider’ said PM Harper was refused 14 tickets to the Jets home opener game, get that an Insider!, No name, No verification just an insider. So not only does CTV show its constant disrespect to the office of Prime Minister by using a headline “Harper denied 14 tickets to Winnipeg Jets opener”
http://www.ctv.ca/CTVNews/TopStories/20111007/winnipeg-jets-opener-tickets-harper-denied-111007/#ixzz1aCBFQKRu From the Winnipeg Free Press.
they just cant bring themselves to use PM Harper And they have to go with the word of an so called Insider, There was a time when a reporter was asked for verification Not gossip.
So again this is why so many are turned off to the politics of this country.
I find the term “Oral Question Period” to be shocking and inappropriate. I demand an inquiry.
It was our liberal side of society who demanded the de-sexualizing of females so that females could go topless in public the same as males. Now we have our most left of center people photo covering cleavage because this woman has guess what breasts. Oooops. Women can’t have breast, oh no! You just might Oggle them and be sent to jail. I suppose the tables will have to be higher in the City Halls, Provincial legislatures, and Commons. With all those bulging “packages” of NDP male party members, it would be damaging.
Oh BTW how come we have not seen alot of OutRage from the Left Wing Nuts over the Teacher Jacques Tremblay’s Teenage Porno Novel, Ya he resigned but where’s the outrage.
Again another case of if that was a Conservative Leaning Teacher they would be still calling for Tar & Feathers even after a resignation, But no, oh well he stepped aside.
We will most likely seeing the left calling for his return to teaching.
I think she looks nice. What was she saying? Shouldn’t that be the focus?
“Inappropriate”?
Seriously?
Take in any gay pride parade, where adults are having oral sex in the streets, then come back and get all prude with cleavage.
Hypo-NDP-crits.
This from the rub-n-tug party.
For those not in BC, many of you are missing the point, the details, and the play that’s going on out here.
This is not a partisan issue, I need to emphasize that. Comrade Dix, Dear Leader of the NDP, has called the comments down too.
Premier PomPom is a lifelong Federal Liberal Airhead, who has never had a real job, and served, back in the day, as a ministerial assistant in the Chretien government. Her dad was a lifelong Federal Liberal. She ha turned this provincial coalition to the hard left, after assuming power, despite only having one MLA support her bid.
She is left of center, but devoid of any sound economic ideas, ok? This is background info.
So, let’s be clear, her ratings are sinking, and we in BC are still waiting for cogent policy and longterm intelligent planning.
Instead we get tight, form fitting attire, with cleavage, and the perky smile. She is clearly using sex appeal to attract voters. And Schreck called her out on it. Good on him.
I NEVER agree with anything Schreck says (a diehard commie), but on this point, he nailed it, and its rocked the status quo.
If you think its no big deal, ask yourself, what would you think of a woman, in a tough executive meeting, showing cleavage (who wasn’t serving drinks)? Can you imagine Maggie Thatcher wearing a low cut top, and being taken seriously?
The people pointing this out are not prudes (I’m certainly not), but there’s a time and place for showing the twins, and proper business attire.
Believe me, her polling is sinking fast, and she will use all her assets, shamelessly, to salvage her (hopeless) leadership.
Oh give it a break Dan, I live in BC to, I don’t like Cristie Clark but what is every woman supposed to do wear a burka? She is a fine looking woman, in a Sarah Palin sorta way.
Isn’t Shrek a large green ugly troll? I am pretty sure I have seen the movie.
What I like about Kristy’s attire is that it is likely an affront to Muslims. They, like Schrek, have women issues that they just cannot with like adults. It makes a lot of Muslims consider women dressed like Kristy, are merely whores and therefore can and should be raped.
Are those the people who are influencing Schrek? Or is he really that stupid and out of control when he sees boobies? What a hypocrite.
Re the movie Shrek, he looks a lot more like Bill Good of CKNW980, but with green skin. Just an observation.
“Shreck???” He heh you just can’t make up an apropos handle like that.
I have to agree with DanBC, he pretty much nails it.
DavidF “But any woman who shows cleavage is either ignorant or exploiting her ‘assets’ or doesn’t care about being an annoyance to the men around her. I’m not a prude”
No – of course not.
Diapers on Cows and Bras on their udders too. How about a few Burkas and Niquabs on all women and female broadcasters?
Did the dippers not complain of bare arms on Sun News? Not the hippie generation we knew.
God – what a country.
“The NDP are trying very hard to get the support of the original and true conservative base. They first photo shopped their own MP’s cleavage out of a picture, now they are trying to win individuals by calling on those who aren’t as ‘conservative’ as the NDP.”
It is a hallmark of our muddled age that the term “conservative” has long been stripped of much substantive meaning.
It is not a synonym for “Puritan” and never was. History tends to show that the most puritanical elements of society are generally represented by the fanatics. Fanaticism is the very antithesis of conservatism.
As for me, I find that Ms Clark looks very handsome indeed in that picture – and the unretouched Ms Sitsabaiesan looks, well, quite sublime and exotic.
Perhaps the NDP is so overpopulated with feminist shrews and hectored men-things that it loathes and resents any and every manifestation of good old-fashioned heterosexual titillation?
The MSM in BC are the dumbest bunch of baboons. There are so many more issues than this stupid crap. That woman in the photo there leaked confidential cabinet information to a lobbyist working for a railroad company that was bidding on buying BC’s rail line.
BC’s schools pay Encana (Gwynn Morgan is Christie Clark’s adviser) “carbon offsets” instead of buying supplies or renovating schools etc. And they focus on some NDP scumbag and his boob obsession. It’s really a sad state of affairs.
I’m an admirer of the female form and have never been accused of being a prude. However there’s a time and a place for everything and the legislature is not the place for a woman to showcase her rack no matter how well-endowed and cute she is. Think of how unbecoming it would be if Steven Harper stood up during question period with his shirt unbuttoned down to his navel?
“”has the divide between left and right ever been so prominently displayed?”” Well played cal2, that’s a thread winner.
Clark has been portrayed by her detractors as a light weight, a piece of fluff if you will. She is a long time politico with media experience. She is intimately aware of how she is being portrayed. Why then would she give them any ammunition to prove their point?
She is, either as stupid as they claim or has flawed judgement.
How women dress in the corporate environment is always under examination. Dress too revealling and you run the risk of not being taken as a serious person. It may not be right but it is reality.
If Clark doesn’t know this by now, she must have either been setting a deliberate political trap or
just doesn’t get it.
Although I am not a fan of this premier’s way of governance, I have absolutely nothing whatsoever to complain about her wardrobe, in fact I think she dresses quite conservatively and carries herself with aplomb.
What I found inappropriate was when the NDP’s Joy McPhailure, thought it would be hilarious to place a wind-up dancing penis on the desk of an opposition member, a one time a well known mayor of Whistler, who just happened to be gay. Apparently the local media thought it in no way insulting to the man’s dignity!
The French would laugh themselves sick over this “controversy.”
What a scandal!
This shameless vixen has shown far too much ankle!
Proof positive woman should not be given the vote.
~Granpa Shreck in October 1911
NDP / No Don’t Peak, , Noxious Dopey Prudes, Never Done Pretending
I don’t get it, the NDP are into the whole sext up our schools agenda but find actual boobies offensive. Oh wait aminute I get it now, adult female bodies are offensive to them?
Only the pretty ones Rose.
cal2 gets the prize.
Phantom and DanBC, as well as others, have great points.
I’m not one to complain about a woman’s beauty ;-), but the top should be a teensy weensy bit higher in this sort of situation. Our staff wears less revealing attire. Elsewhere, go for it.
Mostly about NDPs being more than hypocritical.
I have a difficult time absorbing the fact that people in this thread are actually arguing that women should know their place and be sure and dress modestly so as not to inflame the menfolk in the room. Honestly?
And sorry – when you start a sentence with “i’m no prude” and then have a meltdown over cleavage that is less than you see on any city street any day of the week – well, you’re either a prude or a hypocrit. If you don’t like her policies – fine. Debate them like an adult. But if you can’t focus on the issues because you’re so distracted by a little cleavage that you can’t think straight – I think that’s more your problem than hers.
“Bitch was asking for it”
So when Shreck goes nuts and tries to mount the opposition he’s got an excuse.
How many days has it been since “Slut Walk” ?
http://www.ctvbc.ctv.ca/servlet/an/local/CTVNews/20110513/BC_slutwalk_110513/20110514/?hub=BritishColumbiaHome
For the love of Mike, look what can happen to the best blog when it’s turned over to bosom buddies!
Kate come back.
Just wondering, but, for those that see no problem, please explain.
How low can it go before it is “unprofessional”? Or maybe she should just go with a see through because “it doesn’t mean anything”, which is the same excuse, by the way, that the enlightened gals in the Slut Walks are saying.
Do you really think Christy! (or any woman for that matter) has no idea where that cleavage line is? (would love to hear Kate’s perspective) You bet she does, she is desperate for votes, and if it means a little peek of cleavage, a nice tight sweater to accentuate, those 5″ heels she wears, then she will do it.
Who needs policy when you can distract them with a little tittillation?
My point is that she is very aware of what she is doing, because she has no policy, other than “I’m not NDP”, so ok she isn’t NDP, but the few policies she does have, reek of Lefty Liberalism, a very close parallel to NDP warmy fuzzy policy.
She doesn’t even qualify as a CINO, she doesn’t pretend to be a conservative, just look at her recent gaffes regarding the Feds, the Northern Gateway ‘announcement’ (funded by the feds, of course), and the RCMP flap, which should have stayed private, let alone her raising of the minimum wage, “Family” Day.
Not a good way to get a multi-million dollar federal shipbuilding contract, Christy! dear….
Sorry, but the nicest thing I can call her is a tart. I and many others, expect much better out of our leadership.
And if you think I’m a prude, I can give you a few websites that I use for ‘research purposes’, so don’t give me that crap.
There’s a time and a place, and that is the basic message here.
And, I repeat, don’t like defending that commie Schreck, but he knocked this one out of the park!
I think it may be time for conservative women to have a “Cleavage Walk”…
as for the NDP, their ridiculousness/hypocrasy level just went up a few notches.
I’m certainly not a fan of Christie Clark’s by any stretch, but she is simply dressing like a woman. There is hardly any cleavage showing. What, we’re all supposed to wear turtlenecks all the time? We’re all supposed to be completely buttoned up? She is actually quite modestly and professionally dressed.
This Shreck guy is hoping for an androgynous legislature? Well, just because the Dippers basically are….
Oh thunderen jesus, mary and rose – next the dippers and peta will insist with their HRC enablers that I cover the Grease Nipples on my older machinery with politically correct Niqabs from “The little Mosque on the Prairies”?
In a similar vein, this week I had to get the receptionist to change the station customers hear while they’re on ‘hold’ because a customer told me that she heard vulgar language in a song while she was waiting to talk to me. After hanging up I played the background music through my phone and within 10 minutes I heard Jessie J’s ‘Do It Like A Dude’. My
music tastes run along the lines of Jane’s Addiction, Prodigy and
Kasabian but I don’t want my customers hearing ‘Smack My Bitch Up’ while they’re waiting to talk to me….fine while I’m putzing around the garage but in business it’s unacceptable. Does that make me a ‘square’?
Displaying cleavage is a long-established gimmick used in the human mating dance and I freely admit it catches my eye just about every time. I love cleavage in most social situations but I don’t want to see any part of my female employee’s knockers at work and the guys don’t get to go shirtless or wear muscle shirts and I’ve never had an employee complain about the dress code being too prudish.
“Clark has been portrayed by her detractors as a light weight, a piece of fluff if you will”
She’s a lightweight in the policy and ethics department, but,as “DaninBC”
said, she knows what she’s doing, and what she has done is successfully take attention away from her lack of substance. It was pathetically easy.
The MSM in BC has become the Daily Mail online, everyone’s on the Tabloid bent screaming about her tits, hardly a word about WHAT she said.
Is Christy Clark stupid,or “crazy like a fox”?
Arty
Well put!
And soccermom, its not about androgyny, far from it. You should really know better, regarding Christy!s desperation here. Having no cogent policy, the conservative support of the coalition falling away, due to her Liberal Leftard ways, and the NDP unfortunately remaining strong, by default, she is ready and willing to do anything to save her skin.
Christy! is just awful and her end can’t come soon enough. Hopefully the powers that be either six her and get a new leader for the Liberals, or better yet, abandon the facade of the liberal party, and finally support the provincial Conservatives and make a Colossal fail of the Federal Liberal Martinite, one Christy! Clark.
she showed a LITTLE bit of cleavage, the opperative word is little,
this real issue is why would a NDPee hack comment on it, because they are then bl00dy hippo-crits
DAN in BC, if’n a little titulation is that distracting to you , git outa the room and stay out, becuse you are then a bigger air head than the bitty cleavage woman. And if she is using sex as a tool, only the fools will fall for it
