  4. Congratulations to Ace of Spades and Andrew Breitbart who kept Anthony Weiner’s indiscretions on that Friday front and center over the weekend and hammered away until the MSM had to pick up the story they were embargoing.
    Otherwise Anthony Weiner wouldn’t have resigned and the NY-9 seat would not have opened up.

  16. The NY win is excellent news – confirmation that much if the democrats filthy lucre will be spent in 2012 defending what were once safe house and senate seats rather than on the POTUS. Jersey could be a real battleground in this regard as well as NY PA and Ohio (and much of the rest of the Midwest).

    We are looking at a collapse greater than Carter and even possibly Truman in ’51.

  18. The Democrats need to become “racist” and dump Barry O now so to prepare a new candidate for next year…Otherwise a major landslide is coming.
    Even then, with the economy in shambles and the country flat broke, I’m really at odds to see how any left of centre Prez wannabe could sell his “Big Government knows best for you” mantra that’s been a Democrat motto for decades in the realities of today.

  20. The statement is not entirely accurate. the district (which was of course different in shape and size then) last had a Republican representative in 1921, only 90 years ago. So to say “never” is incorrect.

  22. Difficult to establish what % of the usually democrat Jewish vote shifted or just stayed home.
    The scuttlebutt is that the hard black/hispanic vote will not shift…but simply stay home….same result.
    Oddly enough the hard left, black/hispanic element seems to be greatly disappointed that the DemocRATs didn’t deliver enough goodies….
    Apathy abstains….
    Serious opposition or support votes…
    Big labour is making violent noises and ACORN etc are still in the game.

  25. Thanks for posting this Kate. The DNC Chair Debbie Was-her-name is in denial over this. It’s really fun to watch, but I am not gloating, not now, but I am waiting with anticipation for 2012. We are gona take our country back. We just need Bush Amnesty Clone Perry to get out of the way.

  26. Perhaps we could flood AttackWatch with various ‘sightings’ of fraudulent claims? Such as in BOs latest jobs speech, Michael Moore’s movies, Al Gore’s attacks on ‘deniers’, etc. It’ll keep them busy.

  29. I expect the Dems will try to spin it as voter disapproval of Weiner’s antics, reinforced with a smattering of the usual Dem ammo (scary Republicans want to take your pension, etc.)
    It seems fairly obvious, though, that it was largely a referendum on Obama. The final tally maps very closely to poll results on support for the President in that district.
    Even traditional Dem voters are starting to realize that Obama is, at best, an empty suit.

The swing state dems are already distancing and criticizing the latest jobs plan (read cash for public sector unions). Does Obama quit and blame Americans for their lack of enlightenment or does he get flattened in nov 12?
