  1. Texas Canuck, when I say that I’m not clear that Sarah Palin has what it takes to be POTUS, I’m not comparing her to the Obamessiah (fail).
I’m looking at her prior experience — which is what Americans should have done when Obama ran with only three years in the Congress and 43 present-votes — and her grasp of some of the foreign policy issues.
OTOH, she’s a quick study and with the right people around her, she could do a much better job than Obama — something I’m sure she could do with her hands tied behind her back.
If your comments are accurate about Rick Perry, old Lori, then another ticket, please! With Ken Kulak, maybe Cain/Palin.

  2. “I don’t think she can win.”
Thanks for participating. You can always vote Urkel again.
No one to the left of center can win. Romney can choose the winner but its over for him. He’s reduced to hoping a young lion like Rubio would endorse his sorry self early.
No chance whatever outside the NE and Mormon West. A parlay of Perry, Palin, Bachmann and Cain selects.

  3. Favill, I can buy that Sarah Palin is Ronald Reagan redux but where is ours (Palin or Reagan- I could go for either)?
Sasquatch, I’m surprised the “entitled” actually bothered to vote. Perhaps they wondered why the government didn’t hire people to vote for them!

  4. I think she’s the best candidate for many reasons:
    1. I suspect it’ll be an easy win for her.
    2. She has already done for Alaska what NEEDS to be done for the US in general.
    3. It will prove to the masses that the MSM lied through their teeth to hurt her chances, and they will recognize the liberal bias for what it is.
    4. It will prove to the media the power of blogs to challenge their monopoly and maybe they will get back to reporting the truth – if they ever did – to prove their legitimacy.

  5. If Perry is such a leader ,so popular so great in Texas why did he desperately need Sarah to campaign for him in the Gov primaries against Kay B Hutchinson ?
It was Sarah who brought out the crowds.
Re Foreign policy what does Perry have besides sanctuary cities ?
Perry’s maverick Fed Reserve & QE# statements are direct steals from Palin.
Where was he during the debt ceiling /Tuscon shootings /2009-10 TP push? What national battles did he fight”He has walked back 80% but kudos for that execution.
Which national candidates sought his endorsement? None.
As we have seen from GWB Texan Governors do not have much to do .
I don’t see how he goes from nowhere tp outright favourite.

  6. I guess the question boils down to, how many Americans still get all their understanding of the world from network TV? All those people will, like our friend langmann, have a hopelessly unrealistic view of Sarah Palin, and will never vote for her. Of course, all those people will have the same lunatic view of all Republicans, so there’s not much downside.
I myself doubt that she actually wants to be president. She will run only if she thinks there’s no other adequate candidate (and I very much doubt that she thinks that), or if she thinks that by running she can generate enthusiasm and support which she can throw behind her preferred candidate (which remains entirely possible). We’ll know before Christmas.
