A Bullet to the Heart?

If Sarah Palin doesn’t run for president, the operatives in the media and Beltway establishment will have learned a fool-proof method of destroying any political opponent. The leftist media will have confirmed they can destroy any political opponent they choose with a vitriolic, obsessed campaign to destroy not only their career as a politician, but also as a person (“Palin is an idiot”, “I can see Russia from my House”, Trig is Bristol’s, Trig’s position as the only retarded baby in history who it is legally permissable to publicly insult, etc.)
If Palin doesn’t run it will also be a disaster for the Republican Party and quite possibly the country.

  1. Reality check, people:
Running for VP, Palin did not attract centrists, women, or anyone except the nascent Tea Party. Why would anyone expect these numbers to rise if she were running for prez?
I’ve said it here often: I like Sarah Palin. I think she’s a decent, honest woman, who has had to withstand vicious and unwarranted attacks from everyone on the left – so-called comedians, so-called reporters, so-called anchors. Unsatisfied that their vicious calumny couldn’t dent her enthusiasm for life, they then took on her teenage daughters, and her Downs baby. (The classy left). But seriously..
Former bambam voters are not going to hold their noses and vote for Palin. Women are not going to vote for Palin (after all, she didn’t kill Trig – they’ll never forgive her for that). There are plenty of RINO’s who won’t vote for her (they’ll just stay home.)
I agree with Alex – running Sarah for prez gives bambam an easy road to a second term. Then the question is: will there still be a US of A for Chris Christie to rescue in 2016?

  2. If the left reads the tea leaves of real inside polling for the next year and sees Obamugabe is toast as expected, it would be logical for them to “go Hollywood”.
They could think “What would Comrade Hugo Chavez do?” and stage some sort of spectacular like an attempted assassination of “O” close to the election day
and seek to blame it on their “extreme right wing” political opponents. After all, the media and his Homeland People’s Militia boss Janet Napolitano have been
rehearsing the Big Lie by giving that slant up front every time some incident pops up involving politicians, guns, and bombs, even when the perps always turn out
later to be anarchists or islamists.

  3. KevinB, I must say I think your read of the US electorate is uneccesarily pessimistic.
IMHO the Republicans can run a stuffed rabbit against Obama and win. Even weirdo Ron Paul can beat Obama.
In fact, if Barry ran alnoe against no challenger there is an excellent chance he would still lose.
You need to realize, the actual rate of unemployment in the USA approaches 20%. You can buy a very nice $100,000 show quality 1960s muscle car right now for ~$50,000. Cars that were fetching $50k in 2009/2010 are now available for around $20/$15k. Well-off guys are selling their prized posessions to cover their debts. They aren’t working, and they blame Obama.
    He’s done like dinner.

  4. KevinB, you give far too much credit to Alex when he deserves none.
Whether Sarah Palin runs at all is no matter; Obama is done. Millions of unemployed Americans aren’t going to drink the “Hope and Change” Kool-Aid again.
It is quite possible that she is stringing the media along with these rumours, teasing them, if you will.
