92 Replies to “Fight Like A Girl”

  1. The lefty comments reek of stark terror. Denigration flows off Palin’s back; she has class and guts sorely lacking in her opponents.

  2. She took the hostility of the union thugs trying to disrupt the rally and shoved it right back down their throats.

  3. Solar shingles…heh A good expression to represent all the “free”, pie in the sky, leftist schemes.

  4. One of the very best stump speeches I’ve heard in a very long time. I may not agree with everything she wants to do, but unlike most political figures there’s no question about where she stands on just about everything, and that’s a rarity.
    Best lines from the speech?
    “Bullet train to bankruptcy”
    “Fight like a girl”, and
    “Game on!”
Aviator, you are dead on. The Left has been in a state of terror ever since her speech at the GOP convention in ’08. And the constant attacks over the past two years show that they are no less terrified now.

  5. Rather telling, that the video from this speech(which I thought was well done), is from an amateur hand held, as opposed to MSM.

  6. My oath, she’s good. Only a fool would bet against her.
You kinda get the impression that she can’t be bought.

  7. She is not afraid. She does not care who she offends. I liked her from day one. Like her or not, the world needs more Palins- people who speak their minds.

  8. Breitbart said it right.Palin saw this coming.
Occasionally I get out her RNC ’08 speech.
She had Obama and his agenda pegged.

  9. And she did it teleprompter free!
    Gravitas enough? YOU BETCHA Rove!
The lady’s not one to sit down and shut up. (Newt should)
    to the MSM…
We’re hear, We’re clear, get used to it!
Parent to parent Barack Obama,, for shame, for you to suggest that the heart of the common sense conservative movement would do anything to harm our esteemed elders, to harm our children with Down’s Syndrome, to harm those that are most in need. No, see in our book you prioritize appropriately and those who need the help will get the help. The only way we do that is to be wise and prudent and to budget according to the right priorities.
She just neutered him and his lies. she picked the target, froze it, and went BAM with her nightstick.
    Well played Sarah!

  10. President Palin….sure has a nice ring to it.
The lady has brains, backbone and cute to boot.
God Bless Sarah Palin and the U.S.A

  11. The Americans do not realize that their country is broke, bankrupt. Their dollar is under attack, its status as the world reserve currency is wavering. When the financial kaka hits the fan and the world comes a-calling for its money, their Constitution will mean nothing.

  12. It’s all about class. She’s got the wrong accent, she hunts and she didn’t go to Harvard, or even Cornell. She talks about God, and possibly even means it.
Her instincts are brilliant. She can work a crowd that’s not composed simply of her worshipers. She’s very savvy and very tough and she’s smarter – and way more charismatic – than that narcissistic nothing in the White House. He’s a vampire: Whenever the light’s turned on him he’s just a pile of ashes.
(Born in the USA: to flog the “obvious horse” to death, it was an anti-American anthem when it was used, without Springsteen’s permission, by Reagan. Stupid then and stuid at this rally even thought it was used for the “Reagan” nod, which is in the right spirit.)
I don’t want her for President, I want her for VP. But that’s just me.

  13. Notice the union types on the periphery trying to shout her down at the beginning of the speech, but by midway through (sometime after she had addressed them directly and switched topics) they were no longer as loud. By the end they had either dispersed or were simply silent, I can’t tell which.
The drop off really happens right after she brings up the national champion Badger girls hockey team – something both sides are cheering for. Soon after it must have occurred to many that their shouting and booing and so forth was completely irrelevant, because they just stopped.

  14. “What we need is for you to stand up, GOP, and fight – maybe I should ask some of the Badger women’s hockey team, those champions – maybe I should ask them if we should (suggest) to GOP leaders (that) they need to learn to fight like a girl!”
I got slightly verklempt when she delivered that line.
Sadly, I don’t think the GOP have the *balls*to fight like a girl.
Love the line “We’re here, we’re clear, get used to it!”

  15. Playing “Born in the USA” at the start of the clip was just too funny.
Yeah, especially since Bruce Springstein was a big booster for John F’n Kerry and Barack Hussein Obama.
Of course Obama claims he was ‘Born in the USA’ but there isn’t any proof of it.

  16. It’s pretty funny that Palin is telling the GOP to ‘fight’, given that that part of that fight is cutting back medicare/medicaid, a difficult task made damn near impossible by Palin’s protestations against Obamacare that Medicare must not be cut. She is a ditz and it feels good not to be a part of her personality cult anymore.
@Oz: Even Anne Coulter admits that the Birther canard is a canard.

  17. Oh, hi Jess. What are you doing here? Had to sneek a peek? Just go back to watching your Lizzie May videos.

  18. It’s all about class. She’s got the wrong accent…
    ~Black Mamba
Sarah Palin has the same accent that Albertans like me have.
It’s considered to be ‘the’ standard accent for public address in the English world, people take courses or are tutored to learn that accent to deliver news casts in Canada and the U.S. in that accent and it’s her natural accent.

  19. This woman is amazing! She’s double dog tough for going in the lion’s den of Madison and shoving it up the butts of the union thugs.
This is probably her best speech since her 2008 VP acceptance speech.
Game on! Hmmm, we will have to wait until the end of June when the kids are out of school, but then….
Please run Madame Palin! Mediocrites like Mitt Romney cannot fire up the base like you can. You are essentially the only candidate that is not beholden to lobbying by crony capitalists or union thugs.
O-bomb-a is expected to raise $1 billion–your army can match the Empty Suit in fundraising.
Imagine her debating the Manchild on energy. Uh, um, we can solve our energy problems by, um uh, properly inflating our tires. Palin will destroy this idiot Empty Suit in a debate.
The Democrats fear her. Oh yes they do. They remember the hapless McCain grabbing the lead (in polling anyway) for 15 days after her acceptance speech.
The Democrats and the hatestream media (yes I am being redundant) are scared sh*tless of Palin.
You don’t use a sledgehammer to kill an ant!

  20. libertariansarse, careful how you spell Ann or jess will waste a couple of column inches telling us how smart he is, even though he can’t spell misspell.
BTW, sorry for the typo on your name.

  21. Springstein? Thought everyone for the last 25 years knew it was Springsteen…
I never was a fan of ‘the Hoss’.
But unlike Barack Hussein Obama or his supporters I’ll defend Israel to the end.

  22. Just a birth certificate and a birth announcement in the newspaper at the time.
Not to derail the thread from Sarah Palin(who would make a fine POTUS) but neither you nor I have seen Zero’s LFBC and birth announcements don’t mean jack shit.(ever heard of Western Union telegraph/credit card?)

  23. Oz – she has a pleasant, vaguely regional accent. She sounds a bit “folksy”. Her accent is “wrong” to the people who live in Washington/New York/L.A. and think a candidate should drop his/her accent when s/he goes to the right schools, maybe keeping enough on hand to ham it up as needed like Bill Clinton, and retain no roots to any real humans anywhere, like a certain current President of the USA I won’t name.
You don’t need my say-so, read Kathy Shaidle. Left vs. Right now is not about ideas, interests or morals, it’s about class. It may seem unbelievable to those who live on Earth, but there are very many people, including most of the Establishment, who think Sarah Palin is white trash. These people have never met real white trash so they don’t know what they’re talking about, which sort of explains Obama, maybe.
I love Palin, and I have argued against people, including commenters on this blog, who suggested she try to Doolittle her accent. They’re fools. Her accent is one of the reasons why she represents the normality she does represent and why people love her.
jess – please drop your obsession with race and Obama’s country of birth, which is, of course, America. You embarrass yourself.

  24. she has a pleasant, vaguely regional accent. She sounds a bit “folksy”. Her accent is “wrong” to the people who live in Washington/New York/L.A.
    ~Black Mamba
I presume you mean Washington D.C.
    I like Sarah Palin alot.
I mainly like her because she is such a hard worker, has clear ideas to help Americans who are hard workers, and gives me a strong impression that she will not sell out hard working Americans to the entrenched beltway elites who are so estranged from the hard working American salt-of-the-Earth middle class taxpayers.
I liked the speech she gave that this thread is based on.
She tried to include American unionists too, not divide them from other hard working Americans.
America is flat broke, united they stand(hopefully)/divided they fall.
    God Bless America.

  25. Washington D.C. vs Washington State.
A lot of people in WA sound like Sarah and don’t find her tone unique.

  26. New York City is largest city in USA.
L.A is 2nd largest city in USA.
Washington DC is 24th largest city in USA.
What is the commonality of Washinton DC with LA and NYC other than Black Mamba’s contention that they don’t like Sarah Palin’s accent?
Does anyone think that Washington DC liked GW Bush’s accent or Jimmy Carter’s accent or JF Kennedy’s accent?
    How about LB Johnson’s accent?

  27. Well, just to be clear, I meant Noo Yawk Cidy, not N.Y. State, and L.A. Stands for Los Angeles. There almost certainly are a few places named Los Angeles in South America, but I didn’t have those in mind – don’t get confused. No offense, but since I’m in a Shaidle-channeling place (except for the talent, I wish), think about things mentally.

  28. The “commonality”, Oz, is that they all see the rest of the continent as “fly-over country”.
(They loved Kennedy’s Boston Brahmin yacht-saling accent, hated everything about GWB including his accent, which helped them portray him as a retarded hick, and… well I can’t really explain the Carter Zeitgeist.)
    This is barely on topic.

  29. Oz, I’m a strong supporter of Palin, even though I have a differing accent. I hope my accent would also be intolerable to the DC insiders. As Mamba pointed out, the Democrats/left are about class distinction. My cousin’s accent (stronger than mine) would be charming in DC because she drinks their koolaid. If you’re not one of them, you’re beneath them. If, like Palin, you dare to question and challenge them, they’ll try to tear you to shreds. If you are one of them, you can do whatever you want because your heart is in the left place.

  30. Well it’s a good thing that New York City is in New York State, everyone knows L.A. means Los Angeles, but(and I know this is unfortunate) Washington D.C. is a long way from Washington State, and I still don’t get what Washington D.C., New York, and L.A. have in common other than your unsupported contention, Black Mamba, that they all have a problem with Sarah Palin’s accent.(unless you’re talking about the elites that live in those cities in which case the question should be why the elites that live in, frinstance, Boston or San Francisco don’t have a problem with SP’s accent while those in L.A./NYC/WashingtonDC do?)
How many votes do the elites have in total anyhoo?

  31. Oz, it’s like you’re trying to pick a fight where no actual difference exists. Of course I’m talking about the elites, that’s the point; the cities I named are those where the cultures, at least as far as the world outside them is concerned, are represented (each city in its own unique way) by rich, snobbish, out-of-touch people who actually hate America. Now there are guys – I’m guessing a lot of working and middle-class people – in Manhattan who love Palin; there are without a doubt snobs in Alaska who think she’s ghastly. But those cities are the cultural power centres of America, much like London is the power center, and the only one, in Britain.
Did you read me, earlier? I like Palin and I like the way she talks, not despite but because of the fact that her accent is slightly regional. (There are a lot of other reasons why I like her.)
Do you know Americans who went to Ivy-league schools, and the people who are in awe of them? I do. She threatens them, so they call her a hick, and a dumb bimbo, and never notice that Barry, who never ran anything in his life before 2009, won’t release his school records and his Ivy-league wife is a semi-literate (for proof, google her thesis).
And votes? The elites control the Media, which sways the coveted “swing voters”. How much power they really have is the question.
I don’t argue with people who play deliberately obtuse.

  32. All is forgiven. Night night 😉 [Still don’t understand the difference of opinion.]
Actually, WalterF has it. Hick/charmingly authentic will turn on a dime (Clinton, anybody?) depending on connections and ideology. Palin could never have been their girl, though. Because everyone knew Clinton was a faker, an Ivy-league faker, and everyone knows she’s not.
And she hunts. Deer. With guns. On our planet.

  33. What WalterF, Black Mamba and Oz said.
The election of Sarah Palin would mean the end of government by insider in the US.
This completely explains why the ruling class of Democrats and Republicans which controls both houses of Congress, as well as the Presidency, hates Sarah Palin, as she would not allow them to treat the country as a cake they may divide among themselves any way they see fit: the Constitution is dead.
    God speed, Sarah Palin.

To be fair, the video is from a MSM network, CBS. It is a live cam they set up when all the fuss started a couple months ago.
I watched the livestream yesterday from the CBS website.

  35. Left >
Whether Born in the USA or not, it’s amazing that the left isn’t the least bit curious that Obamba has spent nearly 2 million dollars now to suppress the information. That is his real Birth Certificate along with his scholastic records of course.
You whine about George Bush lying to America, yet have the least bit of curiosity as to why a man would do this, when in fact he should be proudly displaying all, as any president would.
That is allot of personal wealth to spend to suppress something “that doesn’t matter”, no?
    Very strange.
