  4. Kate, you have to check into this: THE CBC IS SHOWING LIBERAL CAMPAIGN ADS FOR FREE!!!!
    This is the second time this has happened. I was home at lunch today watching some tube while I ate and I happened to stop at Newsworld (I know, I know, big mistake) I was floored that once again, under the guise of reporting news, the CBC showed the latest Liberal ad as part of its broadcast. They framed it as the Liberal’s response to the AG leak. (As an aside, it was a remarkably detailed ad for a leak that only happened a couple of days ago). They did the exact same thing last week when the person was tossed from a Conservative event. Again, it was the CBC showing as “news” the Liberal’s ad in response to the ejection of said person from the Tory event. I can only stomach the CBC for little bits at a time but I truly have to wonder how many times this has been repeated through the day. In fairness, they might have done the same for the Tory’s and the NDP, but, knowing the CBC, I highly doubt it.
    I’d register a complaint to Elections Canada, but they’re in the Liberal bag anyways. How the he!! does this get stopped?

  9. Craig Oliver just about nearly choked as he proclaimed that Harper won the debate. Then he turned around and said that Stephen Harper didn’t say where he was going to lead the country if he won. What debate did he watch? Oh yeah, he was on ice until it was time for the newscast. Unbelievable!!

  12. Anon – interesting article in the Toronto Sun. Especially since I just received a reply from Shaw today indicating that Sun News Network will be a 30 day ‘free preview’, not 6 months. After that customers will be able to order the channel as part of the Specialty Line-up for $2.95 per month plus tax. I wonder if Francis at Shaw e-Care Account Support is wrong or The Toronto Sun.
    Still, I’ll take it.

    cariboo country was a tv thingy written by paul st pierre..a member of Parliament or provincial legislature i believe i’m too bored to google it…

While Congress overrode the protections extended to a tiny Tennessee fish called the snail darter about two decades ago, it did so by authorizing the construction of a dam that had originally been tabled to protect the fish.   28. Yes, the lisp is back. It obviously wasn’t just an accident last time. And do you notice that when the other candidates interrupt Mr. Harper, their translators are louder than his?
    It’s farcical.
    I love the citizen-Quebecers’s questions:
    “Where’s my stuff?”
    “How much money are you going to give me, personally? Who’s going to pony up and get my vote?”

  29. This broadcast is very close to being unwatchable. On the bright side,most of English Canada has likely drifted away. The down side is that the media pundits will be telling all that Ignatieff was brilliant,might even be a game-changer.
