And Layton and the NDP are doing the same thing — now the NDP is suddenly the “family Party”, and both their platform booklets released in the last week reflect that in the title. Fact is, there have never been two Parties more anti-family tradition than they.
And they make Obama look practically avuncular in comparison — you can’t get away with “anti-God/anti-family/anti-patriotic” near as much as in Canada.
The dream was over AGES ago. Obama is now what he has always been- an empty suit. Now, no one is selling the idea that he is hope incarnate.
Obama thought he could charm his way thru 4 years in office. He’s most interested in making speeches because, frankly, that’s what he does best.

According to Dr. Elizabeth Kubler-Ross, who developed this Kubler-Ross Model, it’s 1. denial; 2. anger; 3. bargaining; 4. depression; 5. acceptance
I agree with EBD, the anger stage ought to be, um, interesting. Not necessarily pleasant, but interesting.
Hopefully, the acceptance stage will center around January 2013, when a new Republican president will be sworn in.
