Plenty of anti-Zionists also are anti-Semites-typically on the Far Right. Lefty anti-Zionists typically aren’t anti-Semities thought, and having battled it out with Steve C for a long time on this issue, I don’t see it. I certainly don’t see anything remotely like the unambiguous anti-Semitism in the comments in your previous thread mentioned above-comments that you chose to publish and not respond to.
Zionism and the Muslim Brotherhood are just flip sides of the same coin.
In both cases self serving interests operate under the core concept of the “supremacy” of their particular “tribe”. I would no sooner support dogmatic Zionism as I would the supremacist crap of the MB.

Marky Mark – the really nasty Jew-hating comments in the thread I linked were left by one commenter, Dose of Clap or something, whom I personally have never seen before or since. Incisor seemed to agree with him to some extent, which I didn’t see coming. I’ve never seen anyone on this site type anything close to what I read on that thread. Kate doesn’t “respond to” most comments, because she has a very open approach to her comments section – don’t bait trolls, try to stay on topic – and also she has a life. There’s probably a fair chance she never read it. This is, you know, a popular site. Lots of traffic. She doesn’t “choose to publish” comments because she doesn’t moderate in advance (did you notice that?).
I can think of one single regular commenter on SDA who I’d consider mildly anti-semitic. As for “Lefty anti-Zionists typically aren’t anti-Semities”, well, I think you’re an innocent.

I think Zionism easily can be defended from attack and on liberal principles such as self-determination. Those that think Zionism is Racism or the crime against humanity of apartheid are in my view wrong, but that doesn’t mean they have the fatal character flaw of anti-Semitism. (But in my view those who think they do can well be sincere and not using that charge as a silencing tactic.)
I took Steve’s comment to be a warning to other anti-Zionists to not cross the line even if they agree that in their view Zionism is Racism.
I think Black Mamba is talking about me as being “mildly anti-semitic” because as Orwell suggested, it is a legitimate question to ask why anti-semitism arises in all countries in which Jews reside. I have never denied that they are a blessing to the Gentiles, but that is not to say they are innocent in every aspect. People who deny the holocaust are either vicious anti-semites or else just plain stupid! Another thing that bugs me is that Jews (many) have no compunction in saying that Roman Catholics (or their Church) are/is inherently anti-semitic, somehow. It would seem to me that Catholicism is the last legitimate target of hatred. Just saying!

The greatest racists these days are the “progressives.” A political philosophy that looks at society and thinks that certain groups are disadvantaged and need help does also look at some groups as disadvantaging society and need to be eliminated. No other political movement has murdered more people than socialism, or murdered more of their own citizens. While they have consistently shown themselves to be complete failures at bettering the situation for their citizens and fellow humans, they have excelled at paying the butcher’s bill to make their better society.
While it would be absurd to suggest that “non progressives” have done no wrong in the history of Man. I really think that “progressives” need to stop forgetting their history with every new 5 year plan, or the start of a 1000 year one.
