Coverage is not health care … it is coverage so that is not something the feds can order up.

Again, I could see that the world around me bore no relationship to the narrative of my fellow workers and union exective. We weren’t victims and our employers were not abusive fat cats.
At thirty I had started my own business from scratch with little money and less experience, but I believed that hard work and treating my customers with honesty and integrity while giving them good value for their dollar would see me through. Today I’m retired as a fairly young man, with no debts or obligations to anyone.
It wasn’t ‘indoctrination’ that moved me from liberal hippie to a ccnservative who tries to contribute more to society than he takes. It was observation. Seeing the world as it is and not as others wished it to be, understanding that actions have consequences and that I must be responsible for myself before I can respond to the needs of others.

Even Brigitte Bardot, an animal rights activist, has been the victim of lawfare in France for saying that halal slaughtering of livestock is cruelty to animals.
Now, you get down to everyday people like the good folks who regularly visit this blog … and see what relatively much smaller resources we have to fight these kind of lawfare battles.
Lawfare can be an extremely effective weapon to silence somebody, or silence a whole group. I don’t know what the answer is but part of it must be strength in numbers. Large numbers. They can’t sue thousands of people, prosecute thousands of people, for exercising our God-given freedoms.

Aside from politically motivated lawfare, there’s also the phenomenon of law firms who specialize in shotgun suits. They hurl out suits on the flimsiest basis, knowing that many large targets will simply settle out of court because it’s cheaper than going to court and winning. That is just pure parasitism.
