  1. Chicken and waffles are stereotypical black food? Who would have known.
One wonders how much longer such stupidity can continue.

  2. I had chicken for supper, does that make me black or a racist? Liberal Logic, loopy on a good day down right retarded and paranoid on a bad day.

  3. Waffles are ‘black food’? OK so would somebody direct me to a good ‘black person’ who can get the would be waffle thing out of my waffle iron? Its been stuck there for a while. I would ask my friend from Ghana but I doubt he would have any better luck than I.
I must admit I love southern fried chicken but the only people I know who cook it properly are white. At last year’s block party the couple from Ethiopia brought chili.

****I see a racism problem with the school, anyone else?

  5. Chicken with waffles? How many people would know
that that is associated with blacks? I certainly didn’t.
What about wings? Are they (were they) specifically a black food?

  6. A California university says it was bad taste to serve chicken and waffles on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
And if the only foods had been gefilte fish and hagis these same bad-faith actors would have complained that no “black foods” were available to honor MLK day.
    Don’t play their game.
Tell them they’re race obsessed and ridiculous, which they are.

  7. I suspect most of the students and general population don’t even know what MLK stood for or what is suggestive of “black food” etc. in the first place. These busy body leftists continually keep stereotyping (which they supposedly hate)at the forefront, stirring up sh*t at every opportunity to perpetuate racism (which they supposedly hate)which would otherwise have died away long ago. But no, they can’t have that can they? They are race baiters and racists themselves.

  8. Waffle: Wafre (“wafer”) occurs in Middle English by 1377, adopted from Middle Low German wâfel, with the l changed to r. Modern Dutch wafel, French gaufre, and German Waffel, all meaning “waffle”, share the same origin. The Dutch form, wafel, was adopted into modern American English as waffle in the 18th century.
yep.. I see Black culture all over this.

  9. “The company that runs the cafeteria says it will conduct cultural sensitivity training for its chefs and managers.”
Who are all Black or Mexican, and many of whom no doubt already have degrees in Black Studies, Wymyn’s Studies and English Lit. Probably from U-Cal Irvine.
    Or is that RACIST!!! ?

  10. “Anyone here remember “tapeheads””
I’ve never heard of it. Is that the origin of this?
Doesn’t a stereotype by definition need to be a popular conception?

  11. Tapeheads is a cult classic movie from the late 80’s. The “Roscoes Chicken and Waffle” thing was a commercial they filmed. So the stereotype was well established at least that long ago.

  12. Whatever happened to Belgium waffles? Oh, I get it; it is just a code name for black food….

  13. This incident just proves that not all those who should be are committed to an institution like the ones in Moose Jaw or North Battleford, Saskatchewan.

  14. Before I was married, back in the days when I had to stay in shape to attract the opposite sex, I would starve myself for 2 days on a run down to Conyers Georgia just so that I could eat at the Waffle House. Damn! Those waffles were good!
When you hear the list of supposed “black food” you will laugh.
Cornbread (great with honey on it)
    Chicken
    Ribs (who doesn’t love ribs?)
Watermelon (Canadians eat more watermelon than anyone on the planet)
Waffles (never heard of that being “black food”, more redneck food and if you have ever been in a Waffle House in Georgia you would agree)
    Catfish (of course)
Regardless, if the left wingers start to incorporate food into their cries of racism, I want something down about Canadian Bacon. And how about all those whiskey companies using our good name on their products. Perhaps it`s time for a class action lawsuit.

  15. Leftists are just silly people who cling onto snatches of this, that or the other and call it progress. I’m sure someone thought himself clever and then thought it just might be offensive and then handed the ball to the p.c. crowd for “re-education”.
The liberal machine might have been working but the hamster was definitely asleep at the wheel.

  16. Shucks all gosh almighty. We were friends with a mixed couple, yeah a man and a woman one of whom was black and the other white. We would trade dinners at home a few times. I thought J. would split his face in two he grinned so wide when served us, wait,,, chicken with watermelon for dessert. He had a great sense of humour. So much for sensitivity training.

  17. “I want something down about Canadian Bacon.”
Totally agree! As a child temporarily moved from Manitoba to Arizona for a year. They called me ghost (due to having no tan whatsoever when I arrived), Eskimo (obviously, it goes without saying), and the worse of them Canadian bacon…
Needless to say it changed my life forever. To this day I can’t eat breakfast without hearing the taunts of those American devils. All my failures and insecurities for the last twenty six years can be attributed to those days I was the victim of culinary racism.

  18. I didn’t know there was such as thing as “black food” (aside from the stereotypical watermelons which now have a completely different connotation). All of the black people I’ve known have eaten pretty much the same stuff that I’ve eaten. The only exception would be a university friend of mine from Gabon who presented me with a rather foul tasting African nut which was apparently full of caffeine. It was more palatable with lots of beer and I did get a good caffeine buzz off it.

“I didn’t know there was such as thing as “black food””
    That’s what Coronel Sanders said!!!!
But of course we know he was a racist, just look at him, all white and southern looking like a cracker.

  20. This dissecting society with a scalpel has got to cease. What a stretch……. what’s white food? Maybe they should have served boiled potatoes……
    Nope, that wouldn’t work either.

  21. But of course we know he(Colonel Sanders) was a racist, just look at him, all white and southern looking like a cracker.

I didn’t know crackers were Southern food.
I always thought they were cookies that didn’t have enough sugar and raisins.

  22. Chicken and Waffles is commonly associated with the black community, just if you’re white, you can’t say anything about it.
Here’s another bombshell for those of you that haven’t been paying attention: Asian people like rice!
At the risk of being racist, and making you racist as well, here is a link to one of the great Hip Hop songs Soul Food.

“I didn’t know crackers were Southern food.”
That has to be the most “racist” statement I’ve ever heard on the World Wide Web. Watch yourself, you just denied the Black inalienable right to mock and ridicule white people.

  24. Does anyone here think these sensitivity training sessions are any different than”Re-Education camps, less the camps? As used by Communists the last century to force people to have only the State approved opinion. Didn’t think so.
Our leaders think us wayward children that need correction to have good manners. So say they. What say you?
