Most of us in society could care less about what race someone is. Government and media have a vested interest in keeping the population divided. Politicians can be elected by convincing the gullible there is a problem and that they are the only ones capable of solving it. The civil service supports racial divisions as there are many jobs dependant on governments response to “problems”. This protects their jobs and gives them power.
Media on the other hand invents and promotes racial divisions because you can’t sell papers or advertizing with headlines about people getting along and helping each other. Sadly dollars and self interest always seem to trump ethics and morals.
Could one not say that these journalists are failed novelists with access to daily movable type?
As I told one person at work who asked me what Pulitzer prizes were awarded for, “Fiction and fiction”.
Elitist Progressives have been out of touch with “street people” for too long. Anybody notice that the vast majority of homeless beggars living on our sidewalks are White?
Reminds me of the time when the powerful Marxist Union leader Buzz Hargrove was walking down the street in Toronto one day after a conference and a bunch of news cameras were following him. He passed by a homeless White guy on the sidewalk and said: “See, this is what the big corporations are doing to us — making us jobless and homeless!”
The homeless guy heard Hargrove and recognized him, and shouted out to him: “And what are you greedy Union a**holes doing for us?”
The real ones aren’t so photogenic?
Didn’t Chretien also have a fictitious homeless person he consulted with?
I suppose they know they’re not competent enough writers to actually pen a best selling novel, so they do what they can within their own venue.
Pathetic,really.
I’ve had many spirited conversations with lefties about affirmative action. None of them actually know any poor black folk. My usual line is something like ” You know me and you don’t think I should be able to get a good job because you think some imaginary character should get it?” These are the same people who would deny me a job on some clueless moral level but would never actually give up their own jobs to make room for said poor black folk.
The obvious reason anyone writes alleged news stories about imaginary black people is that he doesn’t know any actual ones who fit the story he wishes to write.
They never do stories about very qualified white people who can not get into good Universities because until they have enough “minorities” for their quota, they refuse the best white students.
Those stories can only be found – and rarely at that – on right wing blogs and not one word of them is made up.
The left is not comfortable with truth and facts, so they make up their own.
And then the lefties go into a desperate spin calling folk, nazi’s and deniers for illuminating this “poetic licence.” The CO2 farce is so very SOP for lefty’s….
