   I’m going with Eskimo on this one.   There’s enough hate pend up against ‘W’ on the Left for the ‘Blame Bush’ mantra to go on for years more.

   I certainly agree with Eskimo and martywd that the left has an inexhaustible cesspool of hatred for Bush. However, it will become much more difficult for Obama to get any traction from blaming Bush. It’s not just this compromise; it’s the election results and the polls showing Bush and Obama’s popularity crossing paths. And it’s not Obama that’s on the way up.

For the last couple of years I have been telling my wife that Obama was an empty suit, that all of his hopey-changey thing was an illusion, and that ultimately he was going to be discovered for what he was…a narcistic, extreme left-wing amateur who should never have even been elected to dog-catcher.
    Strangely, these days, my wife who worshiped Obama, has been strangely silent.

    I recall it was Justice ROBERTS….but that is irrelevant. The USSC is not an OBOZO fan club.
    Some grudges last for centuries—check out the ME and the Balkans….such is the NEP resentment.
    A more common phenomina is the left’s main emotion/feature…..hate….. It’s not about Bush, or Palin or Republicans…they are just plain hateful people….deranged!
    When they are frustrated in their agenda of the momment…they lash out with hate…OBOZO just got hit by the splash….no logic or reasoning involved…..dangerous people….

19. I loved Ralph Klien for the fact that he pissed off so many people in the entitlement class. Be it teachers, nurses, government paper-pushers or your plain old garden variety welfare bums, Klien drew a line in the Alberta (oil)sand!
    His offer of free one-way bus tickets to BC where the streets are purported to be paved with welfare cheques was pure GOLD! It was a ‘Reagan fires the air traffic controllers’ moment in Alberta conservative history. Equally funny, many of these aforementioned folks headed off to the Greyhound depot in downtown Edmonton to get their free ride to the left coast!
    Bush 43, like Klien, never let the criticisms get to them, although Ralph had a few moments (remember the wing nut episode?) Contrast that with Obama calling out people by name (Sean Hanity, Rush Limbaugh, Fox News) Bush never once called for Dan Rather’s head. Rather should have been sued right to the poor house, or received an ass kicking, or both.
    I still contend this was Bush’s greatest flaw….he never stood up for himself. Ralph Klien just didn’t give a shit. For both Bush and Klien this was BRILLIANT politics….keep your enemies frothing at the mouth like rabid dogs!

26. What I just love about this is the upwelling of HATE from the left, at their own guy no less, is because he wouldn’t RAISE TAXES. The Republican guy yelled at Barry for lying, the Dems yell for taxes on the “rich”. Which in this case is anybody with a family farm they want to hand down to the kids.
    That’s as good a summation of the two parties as any.

    The proof is in the pudding when the Left demands higher taxes to stimulate job growth. I’ve heard it numerous times this week that “the government should be using the billions in tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires to create jobs.” What a bunch of paradoxical pinko peons.

Millions of Americans from coast to coast came to grass roots Tea Party rallies, including about a half million to a rally right at their doorstep in Washington, and they still don’t get it! The Democrats came close to losing their Senate majority, retaining only a 4 seat majority; they DID lose the House majority, thumpingly, with a 63 seat loss…and they STILL don’t get it!
    Those people are hard core socialist/collectivist ideologs and.will.not.change.
