1. Its ironic that when Pakistan had caught his father Chretien inteviened and secured his release.
   How did Omar’s father repay this “kindness”?
   Naturally he repaid this debt by revealing the bad faith terrorists and citizens of convenience adhere to when they waive their canadian passport and demand (not request) safe passage out of a jam. The elder Kadhr, aka Osama Bin Ladin’s accountant and chief fund raiser, not only took the first opportunity to return to the conflict, but bring his son’s along for the ride.
   My question (rhetorical) is if the current PM had secured the release of Omar’s father, would it be the only story the CBC would carry 24/7 up to and through the next national election?
   That aside, perhaps Chretien’s interest in getting the Sr. Kadhr out of the hoscow was to get him back to Canada so he could be given the job of head liberal fund raiser.
