    Never mind the ritual slaughtering of the goats, it happens when a new -movie- comes out. People died in the crush at the ticket counter to see Batman II dubbed in Hindi.

    Colin from Mission B.C. – colonialism was bad because pre-industrialized cultures were peaceful, matriarchal in a non-bitchy way, nurturing, respectful of the individual and in tune with Nature. The West, on the other hand, is evil all the way down to its dead shrivelled heart; it has contributed nothing to humanity but misery.
    Don’t you see what a mess Africa is? A vibrant, morally superior mess, but, you know… That’s because of colonialism; this absolutely proves how bad colonialism was, and therefore how wonderful all of Africa was before the age of Empire. Can’t you think logically?

  24. Colonialism was the best thing that happened to Africa, and the only reason the place is in a mess is because liberals chased all the colonialists out.
    The overwhelming majority of problems in the world today can be traced to liberal ideas, that formed in the 50’s and 60’s, and for which we are now seeing the negative results.
    Hippies, feminists, multiculturalism lovers, etc. should all be assigned to mowing our lawns, and mopping our floors.

  28. I must agree with most comments. Any civilizations that requires a blood sacrifice to the gods is as close to the definition of barbaric that I can find. One can only assume that it doesn’t stop at goats. Why would it?
    Typically, I only read about ritual killings in epic fantasy novels. THAT’S SUPPOSED TO BE FICTION YOU MAROONS!!!!

  39. Of course, what’s contemptible is not that they were sacrificing goats. It’s that they couldn’t conduct a sacrifice without slaughtering each other.
    I myself frequently sacrifice goats. When doing so, I like to sing a rousing hymn, like: “Goat, tell it on the mountain, to let my people go…”

  40. 40,000 individuals, most of them drunk on moonshine, get into a fight and 10 people die.
    Way to go with the generalizing nonsense. I suspect 40,000 drunk Christians could do even more damage. Kind of like those parades in Ireland (or Toronto for that matter).
