  1. What is the difference between a Republican voter and a Democrat voter? The Republican has woken up to the fact that his party is run for the benefit of corporatist (fascist) insiders, and the Democrat still believes his party’s propaganda.
All we can do is throw a clog into the gears as best we can by dividing government.

  2. Tim, what’s the buzz in your local supermarket? Down in AZ people are freaking out and will tell complete strangers what they’re planning to do in November.
I had an extended conversation with the biggest, gnarliest, most tattooed Mexican biker/gearhead you ever saw, his crew all standing there nodding their heads, about just exactly what was wrong with his country and what needed to be done about it. Sounded -exactly- like an SDA commenter. That was -last- year, pre- healthcare “reform”.
This year I bet he’s sharpening the spike in his baseball bat.
    Hows things in liberal Vermont?

  3. I am going to go out on a limb here and predict that when every poll taken about everything you have done or are going to do polls 60% or more against you will not win anything.
This Quit possibly is the Stupidest ruling party ever.

  4. One thing elected officials forget, is that even after elections, especially if they lose their seats, they still have to walk among the well armed population.
A scary thought for some who would betray the founding fathers. Glad it won’t be me.

  5. Those Americans are health care wimps. They don’t know the smugness that universal health care can bring to a population.
Take Canada for instance, we are brave patriots about our universal health care, we are willing join a waiting list and die for ours.

The irrational (IMO) desire for many Canadians to cite Universal Health Care as a defining Canadian trait has always boggled my mind. I have spoken with folks who defend the system, and grate at the notion of somebody “jumping the queue”, as if this didn’t already happen (e.g. political elites, WCB claimants, etc.).
These same folks bristle at the notion of somebody paying out of their own pocket for health care. I try to explain that puts more money into the general health care pot, and shortens public wait lists. They’ll respond a private system robs the public system of talent. To which, I tell them the system isn’t static. Were a private system to get up and running on any sort of scale, it would attract new doctors, nurses, etc. (in fact, I’ve long thought Canada should focus on establishing this country as a medical tourist destination — but that’s another topic).
At this point it they usually fall back onto the notion that one shouldn’t ‘jump the queue’, that is, one shouldn’t get treatment sooner than another person with the same ailment — even if paid out of pocket. An issue of fairness, you know. Fairness to suffer the same, I guess.

  7. Colin, just tell them the hot setup is to have a good friend or relation who’s a doctor, then there’s no waiting. Ever. For anything. Secret entrance, skip the whole line every time. Just like Moscow, except here in Toronto.
They’ll melt down and go China Syndrome. It’ll be fun!

  8. Actually what I find baffling is the obviously NDPee/Librano types who cite ABAMACARE as a great contribution by OBOZO…totally unaware that OBAMACARE has no resemblence to Canada’s defective Health Care System. They bitterly insist it is just like for example OHIP…..but then they also think the Gun Registry saves lives…..and smoking kills Polar Bears.
    NERDS!!!!

  9. “Even 2008 Obama voters have their doubts: 39% believe it is likely to lead to rationing; 39% do not.”
Well, no matter how you look at it,39% of Obama voters are about to get an unpleasant surprise.

  10. And 100% of Americans will get that same unpleasant surprise. AFTER finding themselves in a ‘re-location camp’ when the IRS came looking for them cause they wouldn’t pay and had beat them to the bank and cleaned it out before the IRS could pounce.

  11. Anytime anyone says the phrase ‘big oil’ I automatically dismiss them as not knowing what they’re talking about.
‘Bil oil’ control but a mere fraction of the oil reserves on this planet. Saudi, Russia, Iran, Iraq, Chavez, etc, control a massive %.
Big oil just happens to get the best ROCE.

Most people think that “the queue” is people actually standing in line for, say, an MRI with the MRI machine and techs operating 24/7 with a first-listed-first-served type of lineup.
They think the queue exists because of the length of the line.
The “queue” is actually caused by the government budgeting a set number of each covered procedure per fiscal quarter and the equipment and techs who do the procedure are idled by the fiscal limit of each procedure predetermined by the government.
It isn’t the length of the lineup that makes the queue, it’s fiscal rationing that creates the queue.
    It’s socialism.
If people would pay out of pocket to get their own procedure the queue would be shorter or nonexistent for some procedures and there would be less idling of equipment and skilled medical personnel.
As to the idea that “the talent would go to the private system”, it should be noted that that is already happening.
The “private system” that is draining these people is the exit door leaving Canada.

  13. There is something that the ruling class better remember, they are dealing with the generation that won the second world war and built North America into the greatest power on earth. They defeated the Soviet Union and gave Asia a taste of U S power.Viet Nam is a none issue in this time.

  14. Dem-speak – policy dissent = domestic terrorism
I suppose Napolitano and her evil flying monkeys at Homeland Security will now have to add “seniors” to their list of potential domestic terrorists. The seniors are in good company on this US Stazi watch list so are “Christians, constitutionalists, libertarians, gun owners and tea party people.

Come November it will it be Pelosi’s or Napolitano’s head in the sack….or separate sacks.
