The Avengers was a British espionage television series that ran from 1961 through 1969. In its first year it featured Dr. David Keel played by Ian Hendry; Mr. Steed was Keel’s partner. Subsequently, The Avengers featured John Steed played by Patrick Macnee, co-starring variously: Dr. Cathy Gale played by Honor Blackman, Mrs. Emma Peel played by Diana Rigg, and Tara King played by Linda Thorson.
