Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

But, wait …. how could this be? The CBC has referenced young Khadr’s “torture” repeatedly, never once in my hearing ever questioning the lad’s veracity. As investigative journalists employed by an internationally acclaimed public broadcasting service, surely they would have examined closely the evidence on both sides, no?
If I didn’t know better, and we academics always know better, I’d begin to question the claims of torture advanced by Maher Arar, Abdullah Almalki, Ahmad El Maati, and Muayyed Nureddin.
In related news, a series of loud bangs was reported in Toronto, centered mainly around University of Toronto, Ryerson Polytech and other such places. Apparent cause was the heads of Khadr supporters exploding.
The scene at NDPee headquarters was grim.
I’m sure the CBC will be making the ruling front page news and leading story video coverage…wall to wall 24/7.
No? I suppose it didn’t fit the “al-Qaeda are your friends” narrative.
Cheers
Hans-Christian Georg Rupprecht, Commander in Chief
1st Saint Nicolaas Army
Army Group “True North”
Now that the IED video is in the open when will the CBC show the pictures of the young Khadr displaying his trophies or the pictures of the ex PM visiting the Khadr family. Like many of you I’m not holding my breathe.
I don’t suppose that there will be any penalty for the attorneys who filed the fraudulent affidavits. I’m a fool for even wondering.
Just ahead on The National, the judge in Omar Khadr’s case is certifiably racist and Islamophobic.
/sarc… well, one hopes…
Penalty, IJ, no fooling?
I guess the fact that no defence wanted to admit responsibility for the affidavit, including Khadr, was punishment enough.
Good folks everywhere should be hoping the lying little skank, who murdered a medic while that medic was trying to save a life on the battlefield, will rot in some dismal prison for the rest of his utterly useless life.
CBC will never tell us the truth . . doesn’t fit their poor little victim of American injustice meme.
CBC . . . all lies, all socialist crap all the time.
Next up . . why CBC continues to flog the Maher Arar story.
Interesting…
I copied the article to send to the Liberal Party of Canada. The “Contact” button led to a non-existent URL.
Too many reminders of their gaffes coming home to roost, maybe?????
Well, I guess little boys and girls around the world can sleep easy tonight knowing that Canadian soldiers from the big bad Canadian invasion army won’t be coming to kidnap and torture them.
Personally, I’m a a loss for words when it comes to describing those that would paint the picture of the Canadian soldier and military as one that has institutionalized methods such as torture.
Just ship the murderous little turd back to Afghanistan. Regardless of the outcome of the trial, he will never receive adequate and fitting punishment here in North America. Load Khadr, his ambulance-chasing lawyers and Jack Layton, for purposes of negotiating, onto a helicopter and drop the entire stinking mess into a Taliban-infested garbage dump near the Pakistani border. A few days prior to offloading the cargo of sub-human refuse, have operatives spread the word that Khadr sang like a canary during interrogation and compromised Taliban positions.
Being forcibly weighed would probably no longer be considered “torture” by Khadr and his entourage.
I really like the part of the ruling where the Judge states on page 8:
“While the accused was 15 years old at the time he was captured, he was not immature for his age. The accused had sufficient training, education, and experience to understand the circumstances in which he found himself.”
So Little Omar should be treated and tried as an adult terrorist, not a child soldier IMHO.
I found this “interesting” footnote in the Motion, it made me go Hmmmmmm

I wonder when Canada’s Medical System will be billed for his medical treatment?
Ain’t it strange that CBC hasn’t had a story on the poor child since his lawyer fainted on the 13th?
I am horrified that the judge said a lying terrorist’s word could not be taken as fact!
Oh wait. That judge wasn’t one of Turdeau’s lefties.
Question is,why wasn’t boy soldier treated to a fatal case of lead poisoning? Sometimes I think we should be trying the incompetents who let him come off the battle field in the first place.Or would that point to much towards politicians?Especially the leftie types?
But he looks so innocent in his junior high photo, how could it not be?
Probably they tortured him with some Vanilla Ice 8 tracks. You remember Vanilla, the father of rap?
I’m shocked. SHOCKED!
The Phantom at 12:17 PM, ROTFLMAO!!
Heard on the radio yesterday that Iggy was advocating that Harper had not acted on Khadr’s behalf and that as Khadr was still a Canadian citizen and was due the rights entitled to a Canadian. Can anybody get the audio of that interview it would play well in the next election!
Stupid kid has shit for brains if he thought he could pull one straight out the al-Qaeda training manual. In Gitmo, yet!! Just too bad The One didn’t release him along with all the others who have subsequently returned to the terrorist fold.
biffjr: “Load Khadr, his ambulance-chasing lawyers and Jack Layton, for purposes of negotiating, onto a helicopter and drop the entire stinking mess into a Taliban-infested garbage dump near the Pakistani border.”
================
And his family, too. Don’t forget them.
CBCpravda (All Khadr All the Time) has suddenly run and hid. after 5 years of posting his grade 7 picture and crying like an mulluh with 5 stories at day at the top of the headline tower they have suddenly dropped all coverage when the trial begins.
Lies by ommission.
the lefty CBC can never out do itself in blatant leftest propoganda of every sort.
So Omar Khadr is full of crap and someone called him on it. Not surprised, really.
Here come da Judge for honorary Canadian citizenship.
I’ve inadvertently discovered a Devout Leftist America Hater who happens to be a Muslim. With a 2 to 3 Tylenol warning, here’s what he had to say about Omar Khadr.
This fellow’s father, by the way, is a professor at Northeastern University but appears to have taught at the University of Western Ontario in the past. This got me thinking that perhaps he’ll be a perfect future candidate for the Lieberal Party of Canada!!!

Justthinkin, Omar Khadr was in a group of Al Qaeda terrorists who were in a firefight with a US Spec. Forces team. They lost. After Khadr killed a Green Beret medic in the fight, he was wounded and consequently captured alive. From the accounts of those Spec. Forces men, Khadr lay there wounded and screamed for them to kill him. As much as the fellow Green Beret team members of Khadr’s dead victim, medic Sgt. Chris Spoor, wanted to oblige him, they restrained themselves. Instead, they gave him first aid and had him medevac’ed to a military field hospital.
I think all we SDA readers will agree on certain things. We know who are really the Good Guys and who are the Barbarians. Further agreed that the really fine men and women of our nations’ respective Armed Forces generally reflect this quantum difference between us and them.
Unlike the Barbarians, our servicemen/women mostly don’t kill wounded prisoners they’ve just captured, however much their personal feelings amplified in the heat of battle incline them otherwise. Imagining myself in that position, I’d be pumped with adrenaline from the fight, be enraged at the killing of my team member and be extremely inclined to shoot him right between the eyes. I hope I’d do what those Soldiers did. That does mark them as far better men from a far more civilized society.
Ask me if I care if he was tortured, he was a member of the Taliban and I have no idea what he did, if atall, to enforce Wahhabi Islam on the women and children of Afghanistan and Pakistan. Did he throw acid to main little girls? Did he cut off any noses or ears for immorality? See that’s why I don’t care the Taliban are butchers, savages devoid of humanity and frankly I don’t give a rat’s arse if one of them get tortured.
Young Omar gives the ruling several thumbs-up

Simply abiding by the Geneva Protocols would be to pop him right there. Summary execution on the battle-field of illegal combatants….un-uniformed, lacking easily identifiable insignia (such as an armband)….not part of a defined command structure……
Shocked is right. A Judge who is not bribed, or a Political donkey. This is an amazement.
That he made a sane Judgment is all the more extraordinary. He has to be 89.
JMO
Maybe Omar needs a little cheering up . . here’s a joke for him
A friend of mine just started his own business, manufacturing landmines that look like prayer mats.
Apparently Prophets are going through the roof.
Dave in Pa….the little turd is a TERRORIST. He has ZERO rights under the Geneva Convention. When you lefties start reading, and UNDERSTANDING the difference between a legitmate combantant, and a non-legit,get back to me.
We knew this, all along. Just looking and listening to who wanted him home and who wanted him to stay at Gitmo tells the tale. Not to mention that family of his and all their connections to the Taliban and other terrorists.
I could not be happier with the judges ruling. CBC should not exist. Don’t we have enough government funded idiots without the CBC?
I guess not, they continue to abuse us with our own money.
God Bless our troops, who resisted mightily the urge , I am sure, to accomodate the whiney little murderer then and there.
Don’t these Taliban and Al Qaeda guys have a script they follow when they’re captured: I’ve been abused! I’ve been tortured! My rights have been ignored, yada, yada, yada?
It’s just par for the course that they shout bloody murder about how badly they’ve been treated and like the “nice” idiots we are — we have to be nice at all costs especially when it comes to visible minorities because we’re walking in multicultural lockstep and don’t want to be called racists — WE BELIEVE THEM.
It’s plain stupid. Now, the Libtards will be complaining about the judge. ‘Par for the course, too because the only good authority is a Leftard authority.
As for the International Red Cross: ‘No credibility. As far as I know from my own experience, the “International” Red Cross means that the locals run the Red Cross, which means that local corruption rules the day.
“…While the accused was 15 years old at the time…
Who expects soldiers to be able to ask for ID while being shot at???
Oh yeah, liberals do…sorry…
You realize that the real villains in this long sordid Khadr trilogy are not the terrorists, or the military or even Omar himself.
The real villains are the lawyers who attempt to not just defend Omar’s criminal acts but actively create an alternate reality in the public sphere that Khadr is a child victim of inherent US ‘hatred’ of Islamics. That little Khady fits the martyr roll of a the tortured brown innocent trapped by outrageous malicious imperialist forces stacked against him.
I understand it is a lawyer’s duty to defend even the most depraved guilty miscreant but what was done in the Khadr case was advocacy propagandizing outside the court. What these “lawyers?” proceeded to do was to try the case in the court of public opinion, using lies, misinformation and total myth in the absence of counter argument by exploiting a willing prejudiced anti-American Canadian Media.
They really are lower than Omar. They’re being paid well for their crimes against western law and culture where Omar’s crimes were not for profit.
That puts Omar a notch up morally from his lawyers.
Khadr and his liars (Lawyers) are suffering a bad case of ARAR envy!
“basic scrutiny”
The CBC sucks!
I think the verdict should be guilty.Sentence’ time served’.
He was young, but he was violent and he nows right from wrong, Indeed, his right kills people. He embraced it,his circle embraced it,and he and his family embraced it.They should have never been allowed in
Canada, but they are here,he is there, and we are here.
We cannot pick and choose our laws. The little mofo and his family are Canadians,as much as that makes me gag,it is true. They are as Canadian as you and I.
Change is needed,The liberals will not do it.Forget the dippers, We need a conservative majority. The alternative is spending more years caring about pukes like this.
Wallyj@10:36
“I think the verdict should be guilty.Sentence’ time served’.”
NO! Execution by firing squad… just what he should have faced on the battlefield.
“The little mofo and his family are Canadians,as much as that makes me gag,it is true. They are as Canadian as you and I.”
WRONG! Most of us were either born here or took our vows of citizenship seriously and work hard to be productive members of Canadian society. Others like myself gave this country 20+ yrs of service in the Armed Forces. Omar and his hate-filled family just leach off of the rest of us.
“Change is needed,The liberals will not do it.Forget the dippers, We need a conservative majority. The alternative is spending more years caring about pukes like this.”
On this point WE CAN AGREE!!
Lock the puke up forever.
We’ll just have to torture him if and when he gets here.
Can’t have the prick thought of as a liar now can we?
The Russians besides invoking a “catch and release” policy off Somalia…..since 2000 apparently have made about 2-3000 suspect islamic terrorists “disappear”……
A liar and a murderer. Throw away the key.
Do you think that the CBC will actually cover the trial?Depending on how the day’s testimony went ,if it was favourable towards Khadr, they will have live reports heralding the story. If it goes against Khadr, you may see a short blurb on the news ticker going quickly across the bottom of the screen…That way they can’t be accused of bias….
I saw some of the CBC’s bias when they interviewed Layne Morris ,a special forces soldier who was wounded in the firefight..He stated that he would testify that Khadr was the one who threw that grenade…THAT was the first and last time that Layne Morris was heard from on the CBC…(his testimony DIDN’T fit their slant on the story)..
CTV also interviewed Layne Morris recently on NewsNet..He repeated his assertion that Khadr threw that grenade and guess what? The re-broadcast of that interview (that was slated for later) never happened….CTV didn’t like what Morris was saying either..
I have watched with disgust the way that the popular media have presented only one side of the Khadr story and have blocked any opposition to their slant on the story…The first instance, was it happenstance?,but the second instance was NO coincidence..The left wing loonies are running the networks…
I can’t wait for our FOX NEWS NORTH network to put some balance into the reporting of news….
