There must be some simple grassroots process to deny taxpayer funding to something as worthless as the CBC. Perhaps a letter writing campaign to their enablers, the commercial advertisers, demanding they pay some premium to completely fund CBC operations or desist from using it would be a good start.

Re the oil spill disaster, my son has come up with the reason for the disaster, and it could be true.
There were several earthquakes recently, and they cause after shocks. If they are caused under the ocean, are there aftershocks in the ocean and could one of them been responsible. That would make it an Act of God, and no lawsuits or payouts. Hey, it could be true. As true as an honest report on is the cbc biased.
And who will be the panel of 3 unbiased judges to oversee the document release.

I like the guys and Gal from the East, but there is never an opinion from the west. That is why hardly anyone from the west ever watches the CBC. And that/s why you here screams from the west to privatise them.

This is, of course, a ludicrous question to ask any Canadian. There are so many great comments here and over at the CBC site that I cannot miss the opportunity to say ‘Well said and well done SDAers’. I have despised the mealy mouthed drools at the CBC since I first encountered them at age 15. We lived in the high altitude Cypress Hills when I was 15 and my transistor radio had access to the free wheeling, enthusiastic, informative, interesting and hearty radio stations across the USA. Good music and interesting news contrasted sharply with the dour Pablum that the CBC dished up – I thought that CBC was a station from England and was boring on purpose (most Englishmen that I had met were boring and thought that they were smarter than us) I never went to CBC again.
I sometimes watch CBC/CTV news in Fox commercial breaks just to see what lies they are spinning. Usually I jump back to the Fox commercial because the CTV/CBC/Global reporters make me angry and tend to ruin my day.
If the CBC were dismantled and rubbed of the face of Canada, that act would “Make my Day’; I like Clint Eastwood and John Wayne. Pile on Lefties!
