  1. For reasons as yet unexplained, certain individuals in media seem to think that the travel habits of private citizens is newsworthy – in the literal sense。
So, if you’re in the check-in line at Pearson International and a fellow with a tape-recorder and notepad approaches for an interview, it’s probably Michael Valpy for the Globe and Mail.
Or, as I like to think of him – Canadian journalism’s own walking, talking argument for deeper staff cuts.

  2. Hey Kate, if you’re in Hogtown you should come out to Chez Phantom for beers.
Michael Valpy won’t be here, he probably thinks the world ends at Oakville. That’s why there’s never any Toronto coverage of the Caledonia Standoff, now into year four. They think its on a different planet.

  3. Don’t know, we haven’t seen him in our non-Toronto time/space continuum. 🙂
Watch out for the multi-dimensional rift on the QEW at about Trafalgar road, Kathy. You cross over there, you might fall off the edge and disappear forever into the Rest Of Canada.
