  2. Actually cocaine can be purchased, by prescription, from “a corner drugstore”.
    The trick is to find a practictioner to write the prescription. But if one has a legitimate use for it, it is available legally. And, ironically, with no special paperwork involved, unlike the complicated process for accessing medical marihuana.

So Davenport, assuming there is no connection to the principal in both cases, Martin and Guergis….why does Iggy think Harper should have hauled Guergis onto the carpet when there were charges against here husband? If she should have resigned because her husband had coke then Paul Martin should have resigned because his ship had coke.
    But Iggy is being consistent, he didnt really care at the time in both cases until later. In Martins case he has an excuse, Iggy wasnt in the country.
    And this will setup a new parlour game….which MP needs to resign right now because they were associated with someone who had coke…and I am sure in some cases used it. Will Iggy start urine testing his caucus?

He’s the president of Ottawa U. Wondered what happened to him since he left the UN upon discovering that organization wasn’t radically left enough for him. They laughed at his push for a world-wide gun control registry, like the doozy he imposed on this nation. And people find Ann Coulter scary? At least she isn’t heading up any institutes of high learning in which she can indoctrinate young minds, like Rock is doing with his lunatic left ideas.

    Paul Martin was born into relative wealth and made a lot of money privately prior to entering politics (see: Paul Martin Sr.).

    They did Don. A conflict of interest complaint was launched with the parliamentary ethics commissioner when it was discovered Martin’s so called blind trust CSL still had Martin on as CEO and CSL benefited from substantial tax havens and government contracts. The investigation was extensive and Martin fired the ethic commissioner before the findings were tabled. Then he had his new ethics Commissioner rubber stamp the file a state secret and shelved it in the commissioner’s office under top secret-not to be opened for 50 years – all before the new government could see it.
    I wish we could. Bet there’s some juicy patronage there.

    Revblair,I don’t know where you get your information from. Martin Sr. was a life long MP and Cabinet Minister, nice salary by some people’s standards, but certainly not the financial big leagues in which steamship line owners travel.

    I don’t think Executive Assistants are financial biggies either.
    My own impression is that Paul Martin was groomed by Maurice Strong and Paul Demerais to be Prime Minister of Canada, and CSL was his reward in advance, for all the good things he’d do for Power Corp once he was PM. Some would call me cynical.
    The story of the machinations of the LPC and Power Corp., would make for a hell of a novel, but no one would believe most of it, too far fetched for the world of fiction.
