  1. Palin as POTUS, no thank you, old Lori is pretty astute in her take on Sarah, great galvanizer, poor leader. She showed one great error, in not being able to leave her religion at home, period. This was also one of Bushes flaws, and it showed up at various times in his tenure, and not in a positive way!!
as some have pointed out, Sarah is doing an excellent job at galvanizing moderates, and some large C conservatives, and I hope that’s were her ambitions stop. As to any missing qualities, Sarah needs a great deal of age acquired wisdom, that will come only with age:-)))

  2. One more thing- Mrs. Palin has proven herself fiscally minded and resource savvy. Right now, that’s what America needs.
As for foreign relations, Mrs. Palin could learn every language but still be despised because she is American and represents American interests. Remember the love affair Mr. O was supposed to have with Canada? Nonexistent.
The judgment of Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson, though largely deserved, as brilliant men is done in retrospect.
Phil is a troll, ergo, don’t feed him.
    Just my thoughts.

  3. no phil – you refuse to acknowledge facts.
IF those three words were on Palin’s hand – and there’s no proof that they were – these were devoid of information. The word ‘energy’ has no informational content in itself! You, strangely, don’t seem to understand this cognitive fact. I think your inability to understand this tells us a lot about your own inability to THINK.
Try it. Does the word ‘energy’ have any informational content? Does it include any suggestions for obtaining it? Does it refer to kinetic or thermodynamic? What information does it contain that, someone looking at that word, would go ‘ahah..now I remember the CONTENT of that word’. Hmmm? Try it. Think. For once.
And are you seriously suggesting that Palin, who touts the concept of ‘tax cuts’ every single day, who makes it a key principle of conservativism, needs some kind of ‘cheat sheet’ to remember this phrase? Are you actually saying this???
As for the taxes – no, you are quite wrong. The borough sets the taxes. It’s up to the borough to evaluate the taxes. Period. There is nothing, legal or ethical, that declares that the onus is on the owner. Nothing. Except your own personal opinion. Frankly, your own personal opinion is so irrational and so bigoted that it’s worth..well, you can answer that for yourself.
And no, it’s not comparable to stealing. You are using a ‘false analogy’ (critical thinking and logic 101). Stealing is taking property owned by another. Paying your assessed taxes is correct. It’s up to the borough to assess taxes.
Your use of ‘teabag’ tells us about your own ethics and integrity, for by this use, you show your scorn and hatred for the average hardworking American who dares to question and criticize statism and socialism. That’s hardly something to be proud of Phil, and yet, you display yourself in this way to everyone.
Of course I reject your false conclusion that Palin quit to cash in on her book. What an illogical proposition (IF-Then proposition). You have no proof that the two (quitting as G; writing a book) are causally related. Again, that’s basic logic – propositional causality vs false correlations.
What ‘gobblygook word salad’? You don’t mean ‘the oceans will cease to rise and the planet to heal’. Or the Cairo speech falsely attributing all kinds of inventions to the Islamic world? or all the broken promises? The rhetoric about jobs saved? Heh.
Or do you mean the articulation of the basic principles – which she repeats constantly: tax cuts, homegrown energy sources, focus on defense, limited govt, and adherence to the constitution. Do you reject these principles? I guess you do.
You favour empty vapid rhetoric, filled with vain self-reference (she wanted to be buried in an Obama shirt – yikes – the narcissism of that is unreal)…and misinformation (lies) and emotional manipulation…Ah well, you’ve chosen the fictional world of hubris and empty rhetoric rather than the real world of humility (we are fallible says Palin) and responsibility and hard work. You’ve made your choice. Sad.
marquis, I suggest you go to Rasmussen polls. They are one of the top for reliability. Obama’s rating today is minus 17. The ‘strongly disapprove’ is at 43%; the strongly approve is only 26%.

  4. For those who think Palin would be a greater asset outside the government as spokesperson, spiritual,
moral guide. I have a question just what would the President do cause those things that you have assigned to Palin outside of the government are an integral part of what the President does.
The woman is a leader and a decision maker not a policy wonk that is what uber expensive under-secrataries and bureaucrats do.
The point here folks is this women would guide and lead the country that’s what Presidents do.
Someone also said somewhere along the way she would have to tow the Republican line. I gotta ask does anyone for one minute believe that’s what she would do. The Republicans need her more than she needs them. You can bet your ass the party platform would be Sarah Palin’s and Sarah Palin’s alone.
Folks she is made of the stuff great President’s are made of, all that remains does she choose to go there.
I for one vote for Madam President.

  5. There’s one clinching argument for Sarah Palin as POTUS.
All the other candidates are so much worse.

  6. No ET, you refuse to acknowledge facts that don’t fit your preconceived narrative.
The word energy has no informational content, yet Palin needed that written on her hand to clumsily answer a vetted question.
    Photographic memory, indeed.
Teabag interviewer: When we are successful, and have a conservative house, and a conservative senate,
what do you think are the top 3 things that have got to be done?
Sarah Palin: Rein in spending, obviously…..we’ve got to start reining in spending.
At this point she looks at her ink stained palm, then launches into her vacuous, gobbledygook, word salad “answer”.
We’ve got to, uh, jumpstart these energy projects, that, uh, again, we’ve heard so much about, because it’s ridiculous that we have, JUST SITTING WAREHOUSED,
under god’s green earth, here in the United States of America, rich resources oil and gas and, and our coal and all those conventional sources of resources.
We have got to, uh, actually walk that walk too, allow them to, um, come to development, and then I think…

where she goes on to the third topic written on her palm- lifting American spirits. Pathetic.

  7. On the whole I’m not fussy about Palin, who doesn’t seem to have the necessary gravitas for high office.
But the conservative / libertarian movement needs a full detailed platform – one that explains how and why left-wing political policies destroy the public’s hopes for prosperity and a good life – much more than it needs any specific spokesperson or prospective candidate.

  8. Regarding Sarah Palin NOT being qualified to be POTUS. She was a Governor of one of the largest states in the Union. Obama was not. Obama has never done a decent days work in his life and is qualified for nothing except pontificating. A Constitutional Law Professor with a Harvard degree he understands little about the very Constitution he professes to have been a professor OF. And yet HE is the one in the White House.
By comparison Sarah Palin is qualified to run the entire world, never mind the USA. (Some would argue they are one in the same).
Besides, she actually knows what she is talking about. Obama has to consult TOTUS before he knows what to think let alone what to say. In any event, Michelle looks to me like she has veto power over the one with the veto pen. Now THAT is scary. Even more scary than liberals say Stephen Harper is ( or was until they got another schtick).
Conrad Black makes more sense from prison than any so-called journalist in Canada make all day long!( where they sent him after the SEC raided his company and pinned their criminality on him and rigged the court system to ensure he wore it instead of them. I wonder how Richard, the erstwhile head of the SEC when they took Hollinger down, is enjoying that yacht he bought on the spoils from Hollinger)

  9. “At this point she looks at her “ink stained palm”, then la…”
Oh no! Not an inked stained palm? Is that a crime? call the ink stained palm police!
So then she couldn’t even read it as an ink stain is not an inked ‘word’ on the palm. Bravo to her, she did even better than you expected!
Poor dears are so LSM slavish to the core over this woman, it is comical. At least they still have the TOTUS as a star, even if the guy behind is a falling one.
Apologies to our host and other readers but I do enjoying the angstfest the left puts on whenever Palin is mentioned, just hilarious and predictable.
Passing over the popcorn to you ET…
    🙂

  10. I think ET has hit all of the points admirably above.
The phil troll, who baselessly slandered Sarah Palin above about taxes, hasn’t a leg to stand on.
Anyone who cares can read ET’s points and counterpoints.
People who want to believe the lies that those on this thread tell about Sarah Palin don’t care to accept the truth.
You can’t plant a seed in concrete.
I’m thankful for the hope in the future that Sarah Palin represents and articulates so well.

  11. OMG….I thought I would never say this(well yes I knew I would)but ET nails it.
So tell me,phil/marquis.How does Palin maybe having something written on her hand compare to the Zero using a teleprompter in a classroom? In a classroom? Was he afraid the nine year olds might ask him something hard? Like how does printing fake money and giving it to your cronies stimulate jobs? Or how does he equate a failed bomb on an airplane with 200 innocent passengers as a “crime spree”? So I guess to you and him, 9/11 was a robbery at the local 7/11,only difference being the slurpee blew up?
As said before, the San Diego zoo has african lions, the White House has a lying african. Are you lefturds maybe afraid of the fact that us VRWC nuts are starting to use the same tactics against you, only using facts and logic instead of lies, that scares you? And to be totally un-PC,calling a lefturd “retarded”is an insult to the truly “retarded”.At least they know right from wrong,or the ones I have met do!

  12. “The tumult and the shouting dies,
The Captains and the Kings depart,
Still stands Thine ancient sacrifice –
A humble and a contrite heart.
Lord God of Hosts, be with us yet,
Lest we forget, lest we forget!”
    Rudyard Kipling
John F. Kennedy, Ronald Regan, Stephen Harper, Winston Churchill, Sarah Palin,- all are political leaders who do not forget.
Rudyard Kipling spoke eons of Truth in these few lines, IMO. Some leaders forget that they will die someday; the latter type are very dangerous to people who want to live, really live, before they die.

  13. I would love to see Sarah palin be a vice president to micheal savage that would be awsome but then again it aint gonna happen ….I still stand by my feeling and that is that she would make the best vice president the u.s. has ever had .Sarah again frustrates the left and unerves them becasue she is a god fearing america loving pro life ,pro military, pro family ,pro church, pro constitution, and i try to critisize her but she really comes across as someone who loves her country and want’s to make it better and is doing so by using truth.
    Paul in calgary.

  14. Good grief. Obama needs a teleprompter to speak at a gradeschool, and when off prompter, nearly makes jean chretien sound eloquent by comparison.
Marquis and philltroll, can you even SEE earth from the aternate universe in which you live?
