Heh. Is there nothing that Obama can’t do?
You know, for as politically inconseqential as our betters in media tell us Sarah Palin is, I can’t help but notice how much coverage she generates.
It reminds me why I always correct those who describe me as a “citizen journalist”. I don’t consider myself a journalist, never have, and this post illustrates the distinction very well.
When mainstream media declares someone to be inconsequential, they write over 4,600 stories about them.
When I consider someone to be inconsequential, I don’t write any at all.

I genuinley like palin i am just not sure i would like to see her run america but i know she would be a great vice president …sarah palin is an awsome woman and if the lftist man hater want to know what real feminism is all about sarah palin is an proper ,and, excellent example of that !! just my opinion. while the u.n. suggest that by having fewer kids the west could reduce global warming so they are now handing out free condoms ….you have palin who is pro life just one perfect example of why i like her as a person ,as a political figure ,as a woman ,a mother, wife …all of it . And besides anything is better than the paper tiger they have now or have had for the last 16 years..lol. Just my opinion

Her book is good, not earth shattering, but pretty good.
It will help her out quite a bit I think.
It goes a long way to dispelling the outrageous lies the media told about her.
The CBC must think so too since they pretty much quit covering it now that it’s out.
Her fight with the old boys club in the Republican Party and the oil companies in Alaska is very interesting.
The kid’s got moxie!
One point she makes is that the reason the left act so deranged and attack so visciously is because that’s all they can do, they can’t successfully debate ideas.
Margaret Thatcher said it best: “I always cheer up immensely if an attack is particularly wounding because I think, well, if they attack one personally, it means they have not a single political argument left.”
Yup. she’s just a joke. So the Obamites say, while piddling away in their shorts all day.
Mockery as cloths at her feet thrown laid. In hearts black elitists fear away . That one day she will put paid to them for their evil ways. While cut off from ill gotten aide, from the people they stole from in a tax raid.

“When I consider someone to be inconsequential, I don’t write any at all.”
This sums it up completly.
Rush Limbaugh says the left always let you know who they fear. The demonic remarks, AP fact checking and copycat book, show they are terrified of her appeal to “normal” Americans.
The big OWE is going down faster than a hooker on the Titanic.
It would not be the first time in the history, especially on the outset of turbulent period, that a person is first ridiculed, then play a major social/political role.
btw…by 2012 most people should figure out the Obama hasn’t got qualifications to be the president, yet has been elected.
Perhaps the most telling aspect of the article you linked to is the title at the bottom of the page:
“Other entertainment news…”
“Other entertainment news”, Obama bowed to the Japanese Emperor.
I too like Sarah, but I would really like to see her pull out of the political arena until her son is maybe in his mid to late teens. He is a pretty special little fella’ and really needs his mom.
I think she should pull the pin and wait. This would bring so much more credibility to her and her political career.
A beautiful looking apple picked too soon will be great for the eyes but not be nearly sweet enough for the palate. So too with Sarah. She will make a great president, but let her ripen, not jump the gun and I believe her to be someone who will prove to be the right person for the season ahead.
Picked too soon, she will not be ready and neglect the one that needs her the most in these formative years. Do it for your son, Sarah!!!
What they think of Palin is merely the projection of their deepest feelings regarding the average American person. You disgust them, you with your tawdry and pathetic lives and loves, your concerns and cares.
So, when your “betters” loath a normal woman, don’t you think its time to reteach some old lessons?
Well she increased Oprah’s slumping ratings.
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/11/19/arts/television/19arts-SARAHPALINGE_BRF.html
That must just give Oprah the chills. Her baby boy Obama is tanking and Sarah is rising.
While Sean Hannity on FOX was interviewing Sarah Palin this evening, at the exact same time slot Marcia MacMillan at CTV was interviewing and gushing over a pair of Palin bashers who had written a “fact check” book as they called it.
Needless to say I didn’t listen long enough to even catch their names or where they were from, but Palin hatred in MSM in Canada is obvious and blatant slobbering does not become Marcia or CTV for that matter.
The vicious attacks of the left must be difficult
for Sarah Palin to take – they are difficult for any fair person to read – but they have made her.
Wasn’t it Ann Coulter who said that without the leftist frothings Sarah Palin
probably wouldn’t have been seriously considered for high office for another eight years or so?
And, of course, what media people find is that Sarah Palin is *very* photogenic. One can’t take one’s eyes off her, and cameras love her.
After seeing her on a few interviews where she can “go rogue” she still comes across as smart and like-able.
However, she isn’t Presidential material at this point. She is holding up the empty bag … much like Obama. The only difference being that Palin could have easily been a great VP and learned on the job whereas Obama would have probably sucked as a VP too.
It appears at least one poster would prefer Hugo Chavez or the big “Nothing”.
“The left always let you know who they fear.” (11:33)
Verily. On Monday I bought the Edmonton Sun (not a lefty newspaper). Here’s the opening line of a Canadian Press “news” story therein – strain your eyes as hard as you can to see if you can spot any bias:
“WASHINGTON – She’s easily one of the most famous politicians in the world after her cringe-worthy debut on the international stage last year…”
And that, folks, is the news. Problem: along with, oh, millions of other people, I watched the historic speech at the convention where she made her “debut.” For an accurate, non-editorializing descriptor of the speech, find the antonym of “cringe-worthy” and multiply it by ten.
The appellation “inconsequential” is frankly laughable, a transparent, king-sized klieg-light straight up the utterer’s own motivated arses.
“The left always let you know who they fear…”
Consider yourselves fully informed…
Palin pisses off all the right people. For that alone, she does a great service.
” … the Lame Stream Media..”
” “Of course Fort Hood was an act of terrorism”
“Political Correctness run amok”
This is war ! Tomorrow, at dawn, the media will launch an all fronts attac.., no, a character assassination attempt.
It would seem that nominating Palin for VP was the one thing the Republican elites did without consulting the Democrats. It seems everything else they have done lately is that way….including picking RINO McCain.
Senator Keith Davies (aka the rain maker) the great LIBRANO campaign guru—was spurned by John Turner…..after Turner lost big time—Davies quipped:
“Canadian voters are not stupid—-if they have two conservative parties to chose from–they vote for the real one.”
Using that as a template:
“American voters are not stupid—-if they have two Democrat parties to chose from–they vote for the real one.”
It reminds me why I always correct those who describe me as a “citizen journalist”. I don’t consider myself a journalist, never have, and this post illustrates the distinction very well.
How ’bout this then?

Okay everyone posting who claims Palin isn’t qualified, please post your creds. Include the town or city where you were mayor and the state or province where you were the head honcho! Yeah, right, thought as much.
Point of fact! Even Obama lied, by ignoring her record as govenor, when talking about Palin’s street creds. You people should know better!
Why would more experience with the corrupt DC crowd be of any benefit? Palin isn’t a bootlicker and that scares the hell out of the left! It seems that it scares a few of you as well!
apologies, “governor” too many stella’s!
The Palin interview on Hannity showcased two fine, kind and caring individuals having a discussion. She was very relaxed and easy on the eyes to boot. Isn’t it amazing how many pertinent issues can be discussed by two talented people when one does not have their gaurd up. When she is interviewed by the angry faced lefties she has to constantly answer smear questions and garbage Maury Opera type crap. Nice people both of them, that’ll blow some leftie loser heads tonite, Letterman will order up a threesome with his staff.
Glen Beck and Sarah Palin both alerted the American people about the crisis the people and nation would be engulfed in should a Marxist and his ‘pals’ become President of a free, powerful nation. Communists hate the idea of Liberty and Justice for all citizens, they hate the thought of prosperity for individuals – they are fanatics – people should read about the thugs that gave the thug Lenin power in the old Soviet Union. The Russian people wanted a democratically elected parliament and a vote to choose the leader – they did not want whole sale slaughter, midnight arrests, an inhuman agenda jambed down their throats…The Russian people were war weary and broke when that coup d’etat took place. The agenda of Mr. BHO seems to be to produce the conditions of Russia in 1917, in the USA. If the American citizens do not stop him soon America will wind up like Cuba and Venezuela. I pray that Americans will listen to Sarah and Glen and wake up and do something before it is too late.
I’d start by demanding that birth certificate.
glacierman – perhaps Obama should have waited until his daughters turned 18 before he became politically involved, after all, girls need their Fathers. Sara’s hubby is perfectly capable of looking after her youngest while she runs the country. No more double standards.
All politics aside, am I the only red-blooded male here who doesn’t think that Mrs Palin is sexy? Give me Laura Bush any day…
The mainstream media will also write 4,600 stories when Brittany Spears takes a fart. Coverage doesn’t mean she’s relevant. I know you probably embody the ridiculous and favorite mantra of the right which goes something like, “the only poll that matters is the one on election day (yeehaw, where are the grits!?)” but regardless, you’d do well to take note that nearly half of REPUBLICANS say they wouldn’t vote for her.
I pray everyday that this woman gets the nomination. Remember “Stay Stephan Stay”, well now it’s “RUN SARAH RUN”!
Jim writes:
“All politics aside, am I the only red-blooded male here who doesn’t think that Mrs Palin is sexy? Give me Laura Bush any day…”
Dear lord… Laura Bush!? I can’t think of anything that makes me shudder more. She’s second to Bush’s mom in flaccidity inducement. Both of them would make most men smaller than an hour in the water off of Baffin Island. Give me the would-be VPILF any day.
You don’t write about people you think are inconsequential?
A bit disingenuous, Kate. After all, you’ve written about Monsieur Viande de la Chat, Count Iggy, and various other non-entities at length. I understand your point, though.
Sam is making lots of fruedian slips again….
Typically leftie—-the amazing thing is that women EVER vote Democrat. Oh yeah, It was that wierd charisma of Obama….must be a chick thing…
The Democrats wanted McCain on the Republican ticket but then absolutely flipped out when Palin gave her speech….like totally screaming panic…it’s a wonder they didn’t shot her….the Secret Service must have been having kittens.
What ARE the ‘creds’ for a competent President?
In the past, military service was a given. That experience seems to have been relegated to history.
What else? A term or to as a Senator, or Congressman, with a Bill or two taken credit for.
I’d have thought a stint as Governor trumped those. Leaving mid-term counts as as an own-goal though (critics would say that shows poor character).
Proven economic accumen, for sure. In the US, religiosity is a must, seemingly.
Any one feel like adding to the list?
Sasquatch and Jema54 touched upon something but didn’t explore it fully: I heard some discussions today of another possibility for Sarah Palin:
If the GOP (aka the Republicans) continue to be dominated by corrupt, RINO-like higher-ups then fiscally responsible, small government folks will continue to have no natural home.
So is it possible, the discussions suggested, that Sarah Palin and possibly Glenn Beck may form a new Conservative Party?
This probably sounds ridiculous & improbable to most, but weren’t the sentiments the same with respect to the Reform Party, before it came into existence?
Quite frankly, I think Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Eric Holder, and other Radical Leftists are inadvertently Sarah Palin’s best friends.
Margaret Thatcher said it best: “I always cheer up immensely if an attack is particularly wounding because I think, well, if they attack one personally, it means they have not a single political argument left.”

I could have told you people that.
huge tally of attacks against me PERSONALLY because my posts hit a nerve.
Or, alternatively, george, it could just be because it is fun.
I followed the Google link and saw that the National Post had one near the top of the listing with: “Why I love Sarah Palin”
Is Diane Francis going through “the change” or has she always been this loopy and hysterical??
“She (Palin) is the reigning queen of the political freak show where candidates are ogled, … by a public hungry for human train wrecks.…… her narcissism, loopy religious beliefs ….. is the best “news” to come along for months. …She will lead the fanatical lemmings over the cliff so that the United States can avoid being governed by people who are superstitutious, ignorant and intolerant.“
The democrats are koo koo for coco puffs. America will correct their mistake at the first opportunity.
Palin will win in 2012. All she has to do is run.
Stan said re Sarah Palin:
“One point she makes is that the reason the left act so deranged and attack so visciously is because that’s all they can do, they can’t successfully debate ideas.”
In Canada’s left-liberal MSM, Susan Delacourt/TORedStar is another prime example, in addition to Diane Francis.
Here is Delacourt with her fear/loathing.
Delacourt’s proof? “I am told”.
Headline:
“Another story from the PM’s India trip
Delacourt: I am told that refusing prasad and langar is somewhat like shoving a communion wafer in one’s pocket, but that’s another story.”
(nnw)
Cal:”Is Diane Francis going through “the change” or has she always been this loopy and hysterical”?
That’s a pretty outrageous attack/rant on Palin and the public. Wonder if it’s litigious, Palin is now a private citizen?
I really don’t know what Francis’ agenda is,stopped reading her stuff some time ago.
[deleted – off topic and incomprehensible. ED]
I really get irked at those who trot out Sara Palin’s looks as if beauty was the sole requirement for being president. Personally, Palin is a complete package as to who would make a great president. Real leadership experience in government at both municipal and state level. Business sense to a level that her negotiating with big oil resulted in more money in taxpayer’s pockets and a family values based outlook. She walks the walk and talks the talk and parks any ego at the door.
For the record I do think she is especially attractive and I’m waiting for Amazon.com to deliver her book. Also, juvenile references to the “hitability” of former First Ladies is uncalled for.
The MSM has written over 4600 articles on Palin in order to point out what a right wing-nut this woman really is; and how she is so overwhelmingly ill-equipped to ever hold the office of vice president let alone President of the U.S. One can only hope she decides to run again in 2012; the Democrats won’t even have to campaign to win and the press will have a field day with this bimbo.
Palin has 4,600 articles and counting about her because she’s a threat.
Having said that, Palin is the wrong candidate for the 2012 White House, that’s for sure.
Kate = Renaissance Woman

~martywd
The way this are going in the world, we could use a Renaissance.
I believe that it is a commentary on the present stage of civilization that nobody seems to enumerate the most important qualities we should be looking for in a leader.
Honesty, strength of character, courage.
These are what gives one the true measure of a person.
I hope that anyone here stating that Palin isn’t qualified would at least try reading her book or watching the policy-based interviews (try rush, oreilly or hannity instead of oprah or barbara).
I am about a third of the way through and I am enjoying it. Her understanding of resource issues and demonstrated commitment to reading and understanding the constitution and bills is impressive. What she accomplished is inspiring.
I am not a religious person, but it is clear from her record and writing that she a strict constitutionalist and believes in religion as a free personal choice. She is a very far cry from the theocratic-wannabe that she had been portrayed as. She also addresses the abstinence/contraception issue – clearly stating that she is definitely not against contraception.
glacierman: If you read her book, you will discover that she campaigned and governed with young children during every role she has had. You will also discover what a wonderful man Todd Palin seems to be -with a quiet intelligence that was discounted as much as hers.
Caught her interview on Hannity last night. Her sparkling eyes, warm smile, and down home manner of speaking make this woman simply electric, which just drives the feminazis crazy.
When she came right out and stated that she is fine with profiling if it means a safer society, I just knew that there would be leftie heads exploding this morning.
I will be watching O’Reilly for the next three nights for his interview with her and it is guaranteed to blow MSNBC off the map in the ratings race.
Sarah Palin may never be President but she is sure to have an enormous effect on American politics for a long time.
Palin is the best thing to happen to the American right since Reagan. As has been written many times before, she energizes the base and is a fund raising giant. Her ability to draw out the left’s worst traits is far more valuable. Every attack on her, her family and her values shows the left’s ugly side – elitist, intolerant, sexist and vicious. This alerts voters to left’s contempt for not just Palin but, by extension, the entire middle class. The left’s M.O. is to fake concern for the poor while impeding any advancement beyond working class. The social justice crowd will attend benefit balls for the disadvantaged while making sure the ‘help’ do not rise above their station.
OTOH, I don’t see Palin as POTUS or VP candidate anytime soon. Her talents work best when unconstrained by political shackles.
For all those who say that Sarah Palin is not ready to become president, I scratch my head in wonderment. She was the only one of all four candidates who had both legislative AND executive experience (town councillor, mayor and governor). Furthermore, for those who say she doesn’t have any experience with foreign policy…what?!?!? Did you notice that the pipeline that she got going is to be built by TransCanada and will go into Canada (a foreign country)–as the governor I would assume that she would have to be cognisant of Canada’s laws and policies on this matter as well as the diplomatic process which her state would have to take part in. Her state houses 4 major military bases with the express purpose of intercepting or fighting the Russians should they decide to ever go the northern route. Finally, as the governor she was the “commander and chief” of the Alaskan National Guard, which operates a launch site for an anti-missile system (who would launch a missile towards N. America–if not another country–as a corollary, this system would also protect Canada). Finally, she is a part-owner of a small business (commercial fishing venture).
Contrast this with B.H. Obama…who never had to make a decision (until now) as part of his actual job description (even a mayor of a small town has to make decisions). He never ran anything except for office.
I’m Canadian, so I don’t “have a dog in this fight.” However, as a Canadian, I’m also cognisant that 75% to 80% of our trade is with the U.S….and if they do badly…Canadians are worse off. A president that allows for free trade and lessening the tax burden on small businesses allows the U.S. to buy more of the stuff we produce. A president who closes the borders and enacts a “U.S. only” law for goods and services sticks a knife in the back of every Canadian (and that’s what Obama has done).
I wouldn’t worry too much about the disparity of articles. It has been my experience in life the left piles on as a state of unaccountability. The ‘oh well someone else said’ thingie. See I’m part of the group, I belong. Kind of an instant support group for the thinking lite. I have read some of the letters of why Sarah is bad. They all follow the same MSM mistruths but with bad grammar. Parrots. I don’t think she should be with either the Dems. or Reps. but wait until asked to run a Conservative ticket. Frankly I think Americans should be pretty sick of both major parties about now.
