Blog Notes (bumped)

I’ve a lot on my plate today, so blogging will be a bit slow for the next few hours.
I will add however, that at some point later today SDA is likely to reach our 15 million visit mark.

From the comments – “That ‘lots on your plate’ wouldn’t have anything to do with opening day of whitetail season in Sask now, would it?”
Heh. 15 million visits, a “new” Ford 150, and the first doe of the season hanging in the shed. It’s a good day.
Kathy Shaidle sends a congratulatory email – ’tis the season!

  1. 15,000,000 ! Well many of us just can’t start our day without stopping off here to catch what is really happening, I have not watched the MSN “News” for a long time and I am much happier (not yelling at the tv) and better informed as to what is really going on in Canada and around the world. Thanks Kate!
    Cheers Bubba

  2. I offer heartfelt congratulations to our gracious hostess! I had heard of small dead animals for quite some time, but only visited for the first time during the 2008 federal election. It has become a near daily routine for me to visit, lurk, and sometimes post ever since.
    Again, congratulations, Kate!

  3. Yeah well I logged on earlier….then when and lurked elsewhere….and came back….
Does that raise the hit count?

  4. Cool. Nothing to sneeze at, that’s for sure.
Much more than my nearly quarter-million visits since 9/2005.
But the daily visitation stats on my own site do keep on rising, steadily. Now my daily average is over 400.

  5. Congrats ‘Kate’. Being reading your blog and sometimes commenting for 3+ years. Everyday is a good day by reading the commentators contributions/links.
Its like the rockem/sockem of ‘Don Cherrys’ hockey episodes.

  6. Thank you Catherine “Kate” McMillan for this Canadian conservative blog, now hitting the 15 million mark.
A beacon of sanity in land of political correct insanity aided and abetted by a once relevent “Fourth Estate” into nothing more than a mindless echo chamber of leftist agenda driven papp.
Global warming and carbon trading Ponzi schemes swallowed whole from the likes of Maurice Strong, UN’s Banki Moon, Al Gore, Suzuki, et al and disseminated as ‘TRUTH’ to the gullible masses.
At the very least, the advent of the internet, and your website “Small Dead Animals”, is putting the lie to Canadian MSM for posterity in this time, on this plane of existence.
I for one will be voting for SDA whatever “best” category it is nominated in!!

  7. I wonder how much Cat’s Meat Kinswaila would have to pay to get his stats pumped up like that?
    😀

  8. ‘I for one will be voting for SDA whatever “best” category it is nominated in!!’
I’d vote for SDA in the category of “Best Crochet and Decorative Needlework Blog” given the chance. Way to go Kate!

  9. Congrats Kate!
That ‘lots on your plate’ wouldn’t have anything to do with opening day of whitetail season in Sask now, would it? ;~)

  10. “Hopefully, you’re only referring to a busy (but rewarding) day.”
Hope so. Deer season, plus I’m picking up a new (to me) truck.

  11. I sometimes refresh the page once I am done reading to see how many people were reading the blog at the same time.

  12. “I will add however, that at some point later today SDA is likely to reach our 15 million visit mark.”
C’mon, Kate. You just know that statement will only encourage those idlers with nothing better to do to keep repeating their posts.

  15. Way to go Kate! For all the years I have been coming to this site, you consistently bang out the news that the MSM is either afraid or to ignorant of to bring to the publics attention.
Well done and I and we of the SDA group will vote for any and all of the above categories you should and will be nominated for!
    And GO RIDERS!

  17. Well done,Kate.If I’m the 15 millionth visitor,can I have a guided deer hunt in Saskatchewan?

  18. Well-done, Kate. Thanks for helping a whole bunch of us maintain our sanity in this Deranged Dominion.

  19. some thoughts if you would Kate on this imminent landmark in Canadian blogging.
the politically correct liberal crowd ignore and dismiss the numbers at their severe peril.

  20. Kate:
When my husband of over 50 yrs died suddenly of a massive stroke and I was left alone in a house for the first time in my life, I thought I would lose what mind I had left.
Then, then, don’t ask me how….
    I discovered Small Dead Animals.
When I couldn’t trust CBC, there was you.
Thanks, Kate. You’re one in a mcmillion.

  21. Now wait a minute! Yesterday, I was with my grandaughter at the Santa Claus parade; surely, surely, that’s not one of Santa’s team.
She’s quite concerned about where Santa lives and how he gets into homes that don’t have those ‘high big things on the roof’ (chimneys). And how he gets to every house..and how…It took all my lying ingenuity to even attempt to answer.

  22. New to you F150 and the start of Whitetail season. Gotta love it.
Congrats on the 15 million visitors.
    Pat

  23. I can’t help but notice that, while it’s the deer who has a very shiny nose, it’s Kate who will go down in hist-or-ee.
Oh. Oh! The injustice of it all!
I render my digestives in homage.
