  2. Why do people come to this country and then talk about how horrible it is? It could not be that bad in Canada, or else why immigrate? Unless of course, it is to do exactly that – put our country down.

  3. How come I have never been able to successfully post such long commentaries as new does? Seriously I have tried.

  4. Finally:
Conservative and liberal both put Muslim Canadian down indirectly by supporting some corrupted racist companies work in Canada but Muslim in Canada did not put down the country. and now we are waiting to see how Liberal in seperate and how NDP and conservative new policy is going change the history. I only try to say how the economic change can benefit all people in balance like chain and how those number in budge address each benefit and damages toward other groups:

Lower middle class (30%)- Semi-professionals and craftsmen with a roughly average standard of living. Most have some college education and are white collar. Semi-professionals and craftsman with some work autonomy; household incomes commonly range from $45,000 to $75,000. Typically, some college education

Working class (30%)- Clerical and most blue collar workers whose work is highly routinized. Standard of living varies depending on number of income earners, but is commonly just adequate. Blue collar workers and those whose jobs are highly routinized with low economic security; a man making $45,000 and a woman making $26,000 may be typical. High school education.
Keep this group more organized and keep secret issues

  5. Lorraine:
You need to read the Scottish play again. It’s NOT his ambition that leads to his downfall; it’s his wife’s.

  6. Plus, it’s Lady M who goes nuts. Macbeth just hallucinates a bit and ruins a dinner party by yelling at a ghost.
But I definitely like your point at 3:26 about Iggy’s teeth, Lorraine. His incisors are too pointy. A politician nicknamed Count Iggula might want to fix that.

  7. You can’t lose confidence if you never had it. So Ignatieff’s comments on why he wants an election are ingenuous. Cutting to the chase … in the next election for the first time in my 66 years I will be voting on the issue of preservation of rights. The Liberal led left is for ending the right of private firearms ownership in Canada. The proof is in the Liberal history of gun control in Canada to date. The left is offering more of a failed policy in pursuing their goal. They ignore the rift they have created between urban and rural Canadians. Check the dispersion of seats nationally. The city state of Toronto is the prime example.
The left has left me with no choice but to vote Conservative. Also, a parachuted opportunist is not my ideal of a PM. Ignatieff makes Harper more attractive as a competent leader in a time of economic difficulty.

  8. They made a mistake with Ignatieff. Just as they did with Dion.
So desperate for the return of the ‘glory’ years, they foolishly and impatiently recruited a novice to politics, at best a voyeur of Canada, a man with relatively few administrative or organizational accomplishments, no governing experience, no electoral experience, and to add insult to injury a reluctant representative of the Canadian establishment who’s been, for years, self-absorbedly prattling on to his heart’s content, with little import, as but only deep thinking crumpet lovers really cared what he had to say.
Now that what he says matters, at least with political junkies all ears, we are hearing a fat lot of nothingness from a badly written and performed script. Judging by his uncomfortable demeanor, even Ignatieff realizes he’s no gifted political thespian.
Beneath it all, Liberals have not done any of the heavy lifting that was needed to renew their Party and its policies after coasting through the Chretien/Martin years on the disappearing tail of the comet that was Pierre Trudeau.
The universe’s demographics have changed around them but the Liberal Party remains stuck in the past. The idealistic baby boomer generation, then in their 20’s and 30’s, and for whom they held such appeal has grown up. The Liberal party has not. Youthful exuberance for the ‘big idea’ has diminished as the bulk of voters settle into a pragmatic realism brought on by maturity.
Unless and until Liberals begin to develop mature and practical policies, they will remain precisely where they are in the polls.

  9. In case some of you didnt know, New is a special kind of full time troll that gets his kicks writing the way he does. His English is as good as anybody’s. And given the time he spends on his walls of text and carefully crafted ESL English, he is clearly a waste of a human life.
