  9. Revnant Dream and everyone else, modern metropolitan police agencies have methodologies, somewhat akin to scientifically done poll samplings, to estimate the sizes of large crowd or other public outdoor gatherings with high accuracy.
    In the case of the Washington DC Police Department, they stopped doing this after all the heat they got from Farrakhan & friends after the so-called “Million Man March” a few years back. The Police Dept’s actual scientifically determined number (with it’s small +/- figure) was WAY lower than the so-called million attendees Farrakhan & friends had claimed.
    Naturally, Farrakhan & friends then claimed “RACISM” on the part of the DC Police Dept. The Farrakhan crowd never explained a racist motive for that but given that the Police Chief at the time and a large percentage of the force are black, the charge was pretty obviously ridiculous.
    After all the heat the Washington PD got from the leftist “I’m a VICTIM” crowd, they made a policy change to stop estimating the size of public gatherings. Another victory for leftist Political Correctness.

Unfortunately for them, now they scream and wave the race card and it just doesn’t work. Even better, their constant insults have actually produced a backlash among citizens who don’t really enjoy being trashed because they disagree with a president. But they’re too stupid to stop.

    Yes. Years of calling your opponents “racist” (or “bigoted” or “sexist” or “homophobes”) when they actually have legitimate, reasoned arguments for not embracing liberalism (or, in this case, supporting the President’s destined-to-fail policies) gets tiresome after a while.
    It’s like the Boy Who Cried Wolf. You can only call people who aren’t really racists “racists” so many times before the word begins to lose all meaning.
    Which takes away the only weapon liberals had: name-calling. They can’t debate us on anything substantive, so they hope calling us something reprehensible will shut us up so they can have their way…
    Not any more, apparently.

    However, Beck is a chronic political spastic (imposter?) in the vein of Bill Maher. His nutty demeanor has all the signs of being induced by long term prescription drug use/abuse.
    He’s first and foremost an actor in the info-tainment industry of cable news – and he’s a poor one. He plays a libertarian centrist populist to his audience but supports every elitist ruling class agenda and statist thuggery of the belt line power cliques. Some populist.
    Shovel Beck in the same pile with Maher, Hannity and the other partisan poseurs who shill for the DC power elite.

    I have watched Beck since he was on CNN.
    He will readily admit he has ADD, was a former alcoholic and rodeo clown.
    When I first started watching, he was slamming the Bush administration pretty hard.
    One of his favourite quotes was: ‘It’s no longer about right vs. left; it’s about right vs wrong.”
    He has little admiration for either mainstream political party and has said on more than one occasion that they do not speak for “We the People.”
    It seems to me he’s tapped into something in the American psyche that a growing number of Canadians admire.
    He believes the political class has lost touch with the common man who, under the US Consititution, is the boss due to inherent God-given rights present in every human being.
    Bush and Obama should be working FOR the people, not the other way around.
    Outspoken personalities like Beck were ‘re-educated’ in the former Soviet Union, after they were deemed crazy for believing individual is the best qualfied to spend his own money and raise his own children.
    It’s apparently difficult for those of your ilk to understand this is not about repeating the mantra of your particular political party leadership’s viewpoint.
    This is about taking back your freedom.
    If you prefer to slavishly follow any charismatic leader, go for it. Just leave the rest of us who love to make our own decisions out of it.

  28. I have said this before, I personally don’t like Beck and don’t watch his show. What Beck is doing is just tapping a groundswell. The groundswell is there, Beck or no Beck. I think that Rush is a leader, and so is Sarah Palin.
    I really wish that Palin had spoken at 9-12. This would have been impossible to ignore. I am not sure, after seeing the amateur hour in the WH these many months, that she is ready for the big job either, but she is a leader, without doubt.

    You must think that numbers made up of Acorn, unemployable, Union members, are not a COST (high maintenance) factor on the economy
    It’s not just by Chance that the Communists target the elderly. Destroy wealth (Pay for Medicare “again”), Destroy the transfer of wealth (inheritance).

    I find watching Beck a little disconcerting (where Rush is too bombastic, Beck is overly intense bordering on emotional breakdown mode) but agree with their work and that he is on a huge roll. Palin, though I would have preferred her over her running mate as President, would have “republicanized” the Tea Party premise which includes disaffected Dems and Independents. The Republicans have yet to clean house and find leadership.

  48. Would it not be handy, for estimating crowd sizes and that sort of thing, for everyone in the USA to have a RFD implanted on them so that a satellite could just scan any crowd and get an accurate estimate? So much debate over an issue that modern technology could solve.
