Currently my favorite comedy is the HBO show Flight of the Concords, definitely must see TV.
Also, have you seen the series Rome? It’s my personal favorite, bloody amazing!
I also enjoy True Blood and the old series Carnival.

Well look on the bright side. If you have something to sell that only a sucker will buy – you know what blogs and demographic to target – liberals , environmentalists, conspirators and climate change adherents. “Rome” is amazing. It’s a little front loaded with that stuff you eluded to not knowing much about; anyways, rent the DVD, it’s well worth it. Have a little patience though, I remember thinking “cheese” for the first episode or two. If you prefer less violence and gore, “Carnival” is just as good.
I don’t know about “MadMen” I’ll look for it. While you’re on the net, go to YouTube and check out “Flight of the Concords”. There are plenty of short snipits from their live music shows to get a taste.
