Media Notes

I did a fairly lengthy segment on Adler today, just after interviews with Kathy Shaidle and Chris Selley. It should be up on the audio vault soon. I think it’s part of the 3pm time slot. Update: I’m told it starts at around 2:35pm. I don’t do Windows, so can’t check for myself.

  1. P.S. I just heard the Green Party plant at the end. The debate he was referring to was the English language leaders debate in the last election?!
As I recall, it was Harper who was calm, cool, and collected, politely listening to 3 nitwits argue pretty much the same Far Left point of view.
Oh well, people hear what they want to hear. 🙁

  2. I heard you while driving. Both you Ladies did well. I think Adler likes your style. Thats how it came accross to me.

  3. I have to ask again, Kate: did you pull out your guitar and sing a few songs?

  4. You were fantastic, Kate. I love how Adler, refers to SDA on a regular basis.
My Dad, an elderly and cool, self taught computer nerd, had yet to latch on to blogs but when he heard Adler refer to yours, well he just darn well checked you out.
He phoned me and said, “You should check out, Small Dead Animals”.
I said, “You are way to cool to be, my Dad…”

  5. For those of you who find am radio (even conservative talk radio) PAINFUL, Kate’s at 35:30 at Robert W’s link in the first comment.
    (Gawd I hate am radio.)
And why does he sound like Rush Limbaugh, which, tho I’m very fond of him, sounds like constipation? Couldn’t he have come up with his own on air voice?

  6. Kate; you were humming. Calm, rational, honest, just what Liberals hate to hear.

  7. Windows Media Player only. Crap, now I’m going to have to boot into XP.

  8. Kathy, then Kate then Ezra… all on the same day… haven’t heard the Jackal on Adler’s show for the longest time… hmmmm… I’m beginning to think that I don’t give Adler enough credit…

  9. E-mail I just sent to Adler:
    Charles,
Exceptionally superb show today! All of it!! I see on SDA that you’re getting high praise too.
I think for a lot of us your show was so cathartic because it confirmed what many of us have been thinking for some time, namely that the so-called “progressive” movement is nothing more than a sham and chalk full of hypocrisy.

P.S. If a RINO is a Republican in Name Only then may I newly coin “CINO” to be “Compassionate in Name Only” and attach that label to many Liberal talking heads we see & hear constantly.

  10. Adler is hard to gauge, he goes after everyone with the same vigour from Steven to Jack and Jill and Igly. I enjoyed the sanity on his show today Kate, you along with Kathie and Ezra and the rest brought a lot to the show. Sometimes his finger in the wind journalism is hard to take, giving Jim Travers and the rest of the Toronto urnalists any air time is bad enough but then he gives that snolygoster putz Kinsella a soap box, music comes on then, on my radio. He is properly showing the audience how phoney lieberals and their compassion is with this Ruby the Cracker thing.

  11. Hilarious that so many of you are whining about Adler trying to add some balance to his show.

  12. bartynsky….
Adler makes good radio, some days he is at his finest some not. What makes it great is that after all he is individualist and not trying to be “one of us” or “one of them”. Personally, I don’t understand where he has gotten the idea that economy is a matter of opinion (like politics often are) and attitudes when being naively optimistic about the end of recession – but hey, “none of us” neither “none of them” is perfect.
