Now Is The Time At SDA When We Juxtapose!

Dana Perino, former White House press secretary“In private, I challenged a few reporters on what they would be doing to change their approval ratings. The funny thing was that some of them seemed to wear their unpopularity as a badge of honor. They didn’t think they needed to change. Well, how do they like it now? “
Radio Business Report“CFO Dave DeVoe noted that Fox News Channel had its most profitable quarter ever, almost double a year ago.”

  1. Does Fox even have competition anymore? I think the closest thing to competition for Fox is Jon Stewart on the Comedy Network, and that is not saying very much at all.

  2. They didn’t think they needed to change.
So much for hope and change.

  3. That is some form of denial. It is petulant. Fox scores big because it knows that reality is profitable … because it’s … you know … REAL!

  4. Not very nice. It looks like FOX is running-up the score on these retards.

  5. Mike Duffy reported a few years ago about overhearing some young Canadian journalists talking, One said, to the other admiring journos ” When I see a conservative I see the enemy”.

  6. Hmm… the Leftist networks are splitting the Leftist audience and FOX News comes up the center to win in a landslide.
    Kind of like elections.
I’m not surprised FOX News is doing well. Because FOX knows what the Mainstream of America wants in a news network.
The fact of the matter is that the Mainstream of America is actually rather “right-wing” and the Big Media (other than FOX) is far to the Left of the Mainstream, and the Mainstream has figured that out and has been abandoning the Leftist Big Media in droves for a long time now, moving to FOX News.
And, by the way, I predict that the Obama Regime will impose the so-called “Fairness Doctrine” to try to weaken/dilute the message of dissident media outlets.
In fact, if the Left didn’t control most of the media and messaging (propaganda), then the Left wouldn’t have won the election. It won only because it learned from past mistakes and pulled out all the propaganda stops for the recent election and spent hundreds of millions of dollars, plus they apparently cheated via ACORN voter-registration wrongdoing and so on and so forth.
And more and more people are wise to it all. Because of this, the Left’s victory was actually quite narrow, just a hair above a majority of votes. If the People were as stupid as the Left wants them to be, then the Left would’ve gotten a LOT more votes, but the People are getting wise to them. And to the Republicans, who appear to have pretty much thrown in the towel.
It looks to me as if the Mob has taken over America.

Exactly why the Media as we knew it died in 2008.
They flashed a little to much bring scorn on themselves by blatent bias. Obama will become a millstone around their necks.

  8. Fairness doctrine? – equal time? – Air America tried and failed. I predict it would be the same for the ‘fainess doctrine’ – who’d listen? They’d be talking to thin air.

  9. “Fairness doctrine? – equal time? – Air America tried and failed. I predict it would be the same for the ‘fainess doctrine’ – who’d listen? They’d be talking to thin air.”
But that’s actually the entire point. If radio station owners had to provide an equal amount of time to “Air Obama” as a conservative host, then that amount of dead air would become a drain on resources. In order to sell air time for a profit, the owner would have to cut the corresponding amount of time from the conservative host.
Threats to force sites like SDA or it’s American equals to left wing blogs would also have similar effects on ISP’s, the hassles of managing lopsided bandwidth allocations would probably make them restrict the amount of political content on line.
Perhaps we all need to read Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn and learn the arts of Samisdat to survive the era of “Hope and Change” (AKA the New Dark Ages).

  10. They’re not splitting audience. They’re beating the left wing cable news networks combined.
One really has to scratch their head at Canwest, and why they didn’t try to do the same with Global. Instead….

  11. The bulk of the American MSM, print and broadcast, is so saturated with liberalism, it sees reality only through that prism and really thinks that is the norm. As a whole, MSM “journalists” have therefore become intellectually incapable of objectivity and honesty. They have also managed to shed any sort of code of ethics, professional or personal.

  12. Money must not be the defining issue with Canwest.
Why not appeal to the larger market like Fox did?
Bad management or they don’t care about revenue is all I can figure.
On the other hand , Al Jazeera knows what time it is.
Managing director Tony Burman has said he wants the channel, based in Doha, Qatar, to be available in Canada by fall.
Part of the review process includes a call for comments, in which Canadians can submit their opinions to the CRTC through its website, by mail or by fax. Comments must be received by June 8.
