Fighting over the carrion

The headliner is Rae vs. Ignatieff, but the real action is the first fight of the night in the Liberal light-weight category.
Goodale vs. McCallum promises to be a barn-burner!
Goodale, a 185 lb farmer from Regina-Wascana will go up against former bank financier McCallum at 175 lbs. The trainers are predicting a good fight and it’s sure to be a crowd pleaser in the lead up to the main event.
Ralph has to keep McCallum on the outside and connect with one of his patented outrages. John on the other hand needs to get in quick and mumble something about the economy.
It’s sure to be a great night Ladies and Gentlemen, enjoy and don’t forget to pick up some popcorn at the concession.
Cheers,
lance

  1. Daaaaaamn, they can’t even make a choice about interm leader without it becoming a soap opera?
I would clear space on the DVR for the leadership convention if I did not have CBC and CTV locked out on the tuner.

  2. This could turn out to be very hilarious, not only they cannot decide whether their leader should step down or not, but they’ll have a tough time deciding who should be the interim leader.

  3. Some contest……overwrought hedgehog vs financial analyst lush. I think I’ll pass on this one.

  4. Beer and popcorn at the concession, oh ya.
And in other news, Dion makes a play to replace Lizzy May…

  5. These guys truly are bureaucrats.
Talk about having a meeting to plan the meeting. Are they going to have an interm leadership convention?

  6. Obviously these guys are in it for the good of Canada, and Canadians.
    uh huh, right..
(Is arrogant self-centered ego maniac a job requirement for Libs?)

  7. MMA is in the vogue right now so I’m looking forward to an epic bloody battle that will entice the younger voters to flock to the new LPC brand…LMMA…Liberal Mixed Martial Arts.
LMMA guarantees a new scrap every week and weeks without a scrap of principle. Tune in and enjoy the LMMA…Leaders in Entertainment Politics.

  8. Following the link to CTV “Question Period interviews new Lib MP’s”
Did I miss the interviews of the new CPC MP’s?

  9. There’s still talk that Dion will refuse to step down.
Meanwhile, the Chretien-Martin fights continue, with Goodale and McCallum in each camp.
But the real problem with the Liberal Party is their centralism; they simply won’t acknowledge that Canada is no longer structured the way it was in the 1950 and 1960s. They still see Ottawa as ‘Da Boss’, and the provinces as ‘regions’ to either take money (the West) or give money (Quebec). They don’t realize that this structure doesn’t exist anymore.
Meanwhile..they continue to fight. We have Dion, Goodale, McCallum and whoever else.

  10. Don’t underestimate McCallum’s wire brush eyebrows.
He could slice Gooddale to ribbons with those babies!
Gooddale will try to keep him at bay with the flying head scissors.
    Celebrity Death Match!

  11. Seriously, the way Goodale shakes, squirms and sweats when he gets all worked up, can’t be very good for his health. But it’s also quite funny to watch him spazz out in the self-righteous indignation he’s famous for.

  12. LMMA 1
The Lush VS the Mouth…For all the interim marbles…These two midgets of Liberalism will go toe to toe …bottle to bottle and yap to yap for the Interim Noweight Tittle!!
    Let’s get reaady tooo ruumbllle!!!

Ah yes, the “all Liberal, all the time” media – at least they are consistent, huh

  14. I don’t see why they need a new leader.
Dion was very clear, after Harper said he would step down if defeated, that he was no quitter.
I guess I should put as much weight into that as I did that the GS was revenue neutral

  15. Give it 2 or 3 weeks and they’ll run through the entire liberal caucus. Then Dion will return as interim leader….

  16. Hello – Ralphie boy – you do not “parlez le francais”??? ALL those years in Ottawa as a member of the “Partie Liberal” and you are still unilingual? Hang your prairie ass in shame, Raoul! (francais for “Ralph”) in case you didn’t know. Evidently, Ralph himself doesn’t know. I hope the federal Lieberals find a way to elect Raoul as their leader. Imagine a scenario where the “natural governing party of Canada” having chosen a party leader who is functionally illeterate in one of the official languages of our country and has just had his ass handed to him on a platter – electing another leader who is just as functionally eliterate in the other official language. I can’t wait for the sequel.

  17. Hey, there is a poll at Bourque.org on who should be the next leader of the shiterals. Please, please and please cast your vote for Ralph (who by the way is a close second)!!!!!

  18. May the MSM continue to drown in their own red ink. As these morons try endlessly to convert us to lieberalism and Suzukism, life goes by, carry on oh limp dicks.

  19. I already cast my bourque vote for Joe Volpe, who’s got an interesting old-style Liberal background.

  20. and its Ralph by a nose.
now its McCallum by an eyebrow.
Ralph ahead by a nose hair.
McCallum pulling back by a sagging eyelid.
Ralph wondering about western support giving a confused look.
no , now its McCallum at the bar. yes that bar, he is raising a glass.
McCallum , with the whole support of the Canadian wheat board, regains the lead,
now is McCallum ahead by a rye. two ryes and a black russian , no that a black eye.
    Goodale by a country mile.
no McCullum by a cuntry mile.
the race is on by the lightest lightweights in Canajun lieberal history.
stay tuned for the aftermath of the “Ballad of Borat Dion”, the longest song and dance the MSM has ever foisted upon the Canajun public.
CBCpravda , All Lieberal , \All the Time.

  21. Goodale is not bilingual, McCallum is.. Is that the deciding factor even for the interim leader?

    it wasn’t for stephie !! LOL !!!

  22. Mr. Sunshine vs. Mr. Sunshine. A perpetually outraged pair of the most irate, sour individuals to ever fill out a fight-card.
Rex Murphy’s Sunday radio show featured a few more of these sore headed Liberals. It’s to his credit that he had to remind them, in effect, that Stephen Harper isn’t PM ‘out of thin air’. There are actually Canadians who support the Conservatives, and Harper was voted in fair and square.

  23. “Following the link to CTV “Question Period interviews new Lib MP’s”

I saw that too. I think that CTV has gone into shock – they are back in 2000 and they think that the Liebrals won, the party will be on (all on the taxpayers dime!), their nice comfy furs are waiting to be sat on and the Senate is still a hope for their future. They are in the denial stage…we should not watch, too embarrassing for Canadians.

  24. They would be insane to put Goodale in as interim, lack of French is just such a killer for anyone who heads a party, even interim.
Ralph is being mentioned only as a sop to the other side and make it look like a race, generate publicity. The decision has already been made, its all show from here….unless SD pulls a fast one and stays. Thats the equivalent of saying, if I am going I am taking eveyone with me, the Samson option.

  25. Dion won’t be going anywhere until he works out a deal to pay off his leadership run debt.
He was never meant to win in the first place. He was the token Quebecer. When Bob Rae realized that he couldn’t win he worked out a deal with Kennedy to stop Iggy. Rae knew Iggy would have at least a chance to beat Harper and that would have put his leadership chances off by years, if not forever.
Personally, if the Liberals ever do take power again, I would rather see Iggy that Rae at the helm. The party would veer more to the centre with Iggy and further to the left with Rae.

  26. Wonder if Saturday Night Live would be interested in Canada’s new comedic political act?
Goodale squirms and jerks like his Preparation H isn’t doing the job while McCallum projects as a condescending smart ass, both are insufferable. They won’t win friends or influence anyone with either of them.
It’s a long way back from the abyss and they’re still speeding toward it. They just don’t get it.
Justin Trudeau appears to get it. His appearance on CTV QP yesterday was most revealing. He also says there’s no way he’d be running for the Leadership. He’s way smarter than the bone heads in the MSM who were dumb enough to even suggest a neophyte, no political experience, could manage the mess the Liberal Party is in and put themselves up to run the country. Where the hell do these stupid, vapid media people live? Do they have no care about the Country?

  27. Liz J
Justin T might get it. Hard to miss, not that this stops some of the lesser evolved Liberals from thinking its only about the leader.
We are finally beginning to see the some backlash against NGP statements. The use of the statement is a good indicator as to future status of the Liberal Party.
They may win an election in the near future but until they banish that mindset they will fall back in the gutter again. The Canadian people have moved on. I dont think they get how offensive that statement is over time. It is pretty revealing of an attitude.

  28. Sorry if someone else suggested this. Dizzy Lizzy and Jack the Weasle would make a really good interm leader that way they would only spoil one party rather than three.

  29. What about Marlene Jenning? or Mark Holland? or David McGuinty?
Jenning would be a good choice. A bilingual black woman. Wow!…Just like the lefty retards fanning all over the big 0 in the States, the added bonus is she’s also female.
“Were bored, We need something new”…How about a blind, asian gay midget woman with a beard?

Stephen; what does NGP stand for.

  31. Stephen @ 10:02
    How offensive what statement is?
This is the liberals, ya gotta narrow down the offensive statement list to at least a date 😉
